Well, SOMETHING strange is up with this game.....I'm trying to re-sign Carles Puyol, and I have $30M left in the payroll budget to do it, but for some reason, the board thinks giving him 10 mil is unreasonable even though hes already being paid 10 mil, thus meaning my current payroll won't even change. I have his status set as indispensable to the club too. So what, I just let go of the fuggin team captain for nothing? Is there some technique I'm missing here to get him re-signed?

This makes it not at all impressive. It's not that surprising a result to begin with, let alone with you making your own freaks in the editor. Fine, but does it explain two people on the squad bereft of talent and the surname Hoilett beating the best U23 team in the world for 2 goals? The freakish defender didn't assist either one, and the match seemed bogged the in mid field. EDIT: The godly defender (named Bret Bennett) wasn't even playing, I guess Canada left him off the roster for whatever reason. Also, are huge potential fluctuations considered normal or a sign you're doing something in training wrong? I had Iker Muniain's potential go from 3 1/2 stars to 2 1/2 over the course of half a year according to my assistant reports

Imagine the bricks that would be shat if this game happened IRL. Granted, I think both teams qualify for the Olympics regardless since it was the final, and I have a super godly editor-made defender in Canada, but still, HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN? This LITERALLY had to have been a 1 in 100 proposition.

Any truth to rumours of an October release?

That always bugs me, especially when you are in a high-caliber league. Not being able to sell Keirrison right away, even at a reduced price, is kinda stupid when what, 50 teams at least could easily buy and start him?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand I can't find a video of the clayton/Evans fight, thus making me miss the excellent commentary of Russ Anber, who is the best colour guy CTV/TSN have at ANY sport right now. FAKK!

Only call we got screwed on was our GK not kicking the ball inside the penalty area(when she did). It snowballed to the point where USA got the PK for the goal, but other than that, no other truly bad calls. Other 3 goals were legit, and its Canada's fault they didn't have the aerial talent to hold until PKs. There were a lot of rough challenges, but thats expected for a rivalry game and its iffy to say either way if calling everything would've helped.

Michael Landsberg logic: Because 1 incompetent referee decision affected 3 goals and a general disparity in talent, especially between Canada's defenders and USA's attackers in the air. Lets not even begin to mention the fact that with PKs, there is a clear difference in terms of goalkeeping, meaning Canada literally would have to not miss EVERY TIME until their GK made the save.

I've heard rumours about a file that needs to be deleted in order for the German and Japanese national teams to have IRL players getting actual caps. How do I do this?

Is it just me, or is the Libero/Sweeper pretty useless unless you are using some gimmick 6-3-1 shit or aren't worried about crosses(thus shifting Full Backs to Center Backs)? I never seem to get much defense out of my libero, even though hes quite good (editor-made)

Funny in my Barca game how my first and second teams are so radically different. I'm forced into playing an absurd 3-6-1 because I don't have spare sidebacks, and I'm using a side attack style with crosses as opposed to my typical pass ball to open man, let him beat keeper one-on-one schtick I use for the first team. I've gotta say though, the set pieces are a pain in the ass. The game makes a big deal about corners in the commentary, but they just might as well gift wrap the ball and hand it to the keeper because my players are worthless in the air. Free kicks suck too, its a direct shot every time that either misses or is a rainbow shot that gets caught easily by any reasonably sober GK.

Just out of curiousity, has anyone ever tried taking a shite team in Blue Square North or South or whatever those leagues are called and tried taking them to the Premier League? Would it even be possible without editing in a board willing to spend money or somesuch?
