  1. Goldberg and Harmon are good friends apparently. He's been on a couple of episodes of Harmon's podcast Harmontown. Although it is kind of weird that he'd be a producer on the season Harmon wasn't involved with...
  2. Well, the Fandango theme definitely. Also that Lumineers song Ho Hey because I hear it at work like 5 times a day.
  3. This weekend my friend and I had our annual bad movie marathon, and this is what we watched this year: Anaconda- So much fun. A tour de force performance by Ice Cube. I have no fucking idea what accent Jon Voigt was going for. The Devil's Advocate- This is not so much a bad movie, but it has A LOT of Pacino and Keanu hamming it up, which is something we look for in these marathons. Season of the Witch- Nicolas Cage is always a favorite of ours in the same vein as Pacino, but this was awful. Not enough action and ham. Incredibly boring. Street Fighter- Now this was just a masterpiece. RIP Raul Julia. Delgo- A (poorly) animated movie that when it was released was the worst wide release for any film ever. This movie was boring as shit. Cool As Ice- The Vanilla Ice musical romance movie. This was way more fun than I expected it to be. I'm baffled that this movie got made though. That would be like Macklemore getting a movie today. The Room- We always watch this one last. I've seen it probably over 10 times and it's just as good as it was the first time. The ultimate "so bad, it's good" movie.
  4. Haven't seen God Bless America, but I'm pretty sure it's on my Netflix queue. I'll watch Flight and The Imposter soon. The Imposter sounds great. Prometheus was one of the biggest disappointments. I hated mostly everything about it. I think I laughed a total of 3 times during Ted. Not my style really.
  5. Haven't seen The Raid, Killing Me Softly, or Lawless but I plan on watching all of them at some point. The Raid I'm actually going to watch this weekend. Men In Black 3 was alright. Nothing special, but better than I thought it would be. Nothing I would ever see again though. Literally just finished watching Seven Psychopaths and thought it was great. Not sure if it would have made my top 10, but I definitely enjoyed it.
  6. Just watched Seven Psychopaths and I very much liked it which I suppose was not a surprise considering In Bruges is one of my favorite movies. Rockwell, Walken, and Harrellson were great as always. And you gotta love every time Tom Waits shows up in a movie.
  7. Just came back from Spring Breakers. It was beautiful. Jeff Jarrett was in it. Everything was great.
  8. Just saw This Is 40. Thought it had some enjoyable parts, but it was kind of a wreck. It definitely could have been 30-40 minutes shorter. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything I'd watch again.
  9. One of my favorites that not enough people have seen, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
  10. Pretty excited about a few shows coming up around here. April 4th- Joey Bada$$ & Pro Era with Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers May 10th- Danny Brown May 17th- Juicy J & A$AP Ferg August 11th- Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z at Fenway Also Ghostface is coming around the night after Danny Brown, thinking about going to that. I've seen him with the Wu enough times that I wouldn't be upset if I missed it though.
  11. I think we were supposed to like E though. We absolutely were not supposed to like Vinny Chase. And yeah, Billy Walsh was the best part of that show. I can't believe I watched 8 seasons of that.
  12. I forgot to mention Drew Braverman (Lauren Graham's son) from Parenthood. I don't know if it's the character or the actor, but he mopes around and is really "angsty" all the time. He's kind of like a young adult version of Chris Brody.
  13. I didn't hate Jack, but I totally did not care where he got any of his 50 tattoos. I'll echo the Dana Brody hate and also add that Chris Brody was probably even more annoying. "LOOK AT ALL THESE FACEBOOK FRIENDS I HAVE!" "HEY DAD, MIKE'S HERE WATCHING THE WIZARDS GAME WITH ME!" "WILL ANYONE PLAY HEARTS WITH ME???" Fuck off kid.
  14. The writer's strike killed Heroes. The second season had to be cut from 24 episodes to 11 and it was kind of a trainwreck. Season 3 was decent, but I just like to pretend the show only lasted one perfect season.
  15. Ruby Sparks- I figured I would really like this given how I'm a sucker for quirky indie rom-coms, and this did not disappoint. The Expendables 2- Pretty much the exact opposite of Ruby Sparks, but equally as good. I liked the first a bit more, but this one was cranked (no pun intended) to the max. I hope they just keep making these movies until they die. Skyfall- Definitely the best Bond movie I've seen, though I've only seen 6 of them. Bardem was fucking amazing. I'd be down for Craig to return in another film as he's been consistently great in all 3.
  16. This is true but the Varner/Guillard and Miller/Lauzon fights were great as well. Miller/Lauzon really saved the PPV card from being a waste honestly.
  17. I watched Looper the other day and thought it was great. That kid might be the best child actor I've ever seen.
  18. Ariel Helwani ‏@arielhelwani Dana said there's no way Leonard Garcia is getting fired. Fuck everything man.
  19. Saw Django Unchained and it was fantastic. Great performances all around. Definitely in my top 3 favorites of the year.
  20. Watched Sleepwalk With Me tonight, and it was great. It had a Woody Allen vibe to it.
  21. Yach, in my opinion Cruel Summer is massively overrated. But your first two would be in my list, too. And you have to include the Trilogy of The Weeknd. Man, what a deep kid that is. Awesome "neo R'n'B" if you wanna call it that way. I also enjoyed Coexist from the xx; and even though it was a mixtape and not an album: 1999 by Joey Badass is one hell of a hip hop tape. EDIT: And the moment when it hits you. This is my first post since 05. ( well only had been 2 or 3 before) Oh I agree with you that it's overrated, but like Lowerdeck pointed out, it has some great songs. Clique, Mercy, New God Flow, and To The World are among my favorite songs of the year. This has just been a weak year for hip hop when it comes to complete projects. There were a lot of decent-good releases but I think my top 4 were the only truly great ones of the year. It's all about the singles now. P.S. I don't count Trilogy since everything but the bonus tracks are from 2011, but House of Balloons was my favorite release of last year.
  22. That finale was fucking insane and I loved every minute of it. I liked this season as a whole. It wasn't better than last season, but I had more fun watching it, if that makes any sense.
