  1. I wonder if that's half the reason Joe Hart stood out, the fact he was so good at a young age? Did everyone assume he was going to keep getting better?
  2. If he was that good because he was on coke I'd suggest it should be mandatory for all players each game.
  3. He was always a good shotstopper but had an error in him for a chunk of his early career (hence Calamity James), and don't forget that Liverpool in the mid 90s were not Liverpool in the 80s. He peaked late as he cut the errors out and made the England team, so yeah probably as he hit his late 20s/early 30s and was a steady hand throughout the rest of his career. I think relegation/Championship level is hugely overstating it though.
  4. I fully look forward to the traditional bunch of Christmas fixture whinges. I bet Biggins doesn't moan about having to work Christmas.
  5. Kevin Campbell has confirmed it. That's good enough for me.
  6. Rumours swirling that Maradona might be dead.
  7. To tie this back to the last page (maybe the page before) Kylie's next album had heavy involvement from the Manics.
  8. https://www.theguardian.com/football/ng-interactive/2020/nov/24/david-squires-on-being-james-milner-liverpool-training-ground-door Another top quality Squires.
  9. I randomly heard Confide in Me on the radio the other day for the first time in years, I like Dark Kylie.
  10. Feels a bit harsh not letting Fernandes have the pen when he's the penalty taker and on a hat trick. What happened there?
  11. If Elastica have made this list I'm rioting if there's no Menswe@r.
  12. I'll be honest I phrased that as caring about Arsenal whereas I'm actually just looking to improve my shitty Draft team midfield. I'll bring him in early December before anyone notices...
  13. Is Martinelli expected to be fit this season at some point? He looked good in spells but didn't seem to get games consistently.
  14. To be fair Van Dijk gets injured regardless of VAR getting the decision right. Injuries happen.
  15. Yeah I'm struggling to see how a 12:30 kickoff versus a 3pm makes an awful lot of difference.
  16. It's the only thing keeping me going in these dark times...
  17. Bah, it's about £50 in the UK, we've been shafted.
  18. That's why I can't get my head round why they've put it out at full price, including on PS4. Isn't it a good chunk shorter than the original too? I'm waiting until there's a decent price drop.
  19. The only entertaining thing about watching us on tv is the pundits (who've had us several times so have no escuse) starting the game accusing the fans of "wanting Kevin Keegan football", before rapidly descending into laughing at the fact our attacking throwins end up with our keeper. The penny will drop one day, but I think Mcmanaman is stuck in Groundhog Day.
  20. Dale Johnson covers the rule clarifications a bit better.
  21. I've been saying it for months, the last thing strikers needed was even more advantage on a penalty. It's not even a massive rule change, in theory they needed both feet on the line previously, but referees and liners judged it and only retook of they took the piss. I know that's been inconsistent occasionally, especially in penalty shootouts, but it wasn't enough of an issue to bring the change in to the extent that keepers have to think like runners avoiding a false start while strikers can hop, skip and jump up to the ball. Another "easy win" for VAR that's changed a mechanic of the game to
  22. Bristol City I tend to comb this thread for acca ideas. It never comes off with 5 let alone 9... @Gorka Cambridge games off.
