  1. How's the bacon did you say?
  2. Just don't tell him about the badge or sponsor.
  3. That's why we had to cope with Lawrenson moping on tv for 3 decades, so no thanks.
  4. Apparently not playing yesterday guaranteed he wouldn't meet the threshold for Everton having to pay £10m to Spurs.
  5. To be fair the average age of the team is about 9 isn't it? And half of that is Thiago Silva.
  6. Don't actually understand drop balls anymore, Villa were clearly in possession there.
  7. In Klopp's defense I dropped Eze for Olise, and have Konate, Alison, Salah and Jota in my Draft team, so that scoreline was pretty much nailed on. Sorry.
  8. Genuinely can't understand how that pen was overturned when it was given on the pitch. Initial contact on the clothesline may have been just outside but it clearly continued into the area.
  9. Ref must have had a draw in his acca.
  10. That was only semi snarky, it just feels like there's no plan B. When you're 3-0 down and you're still doing "CB passes to keeper, keeper passes to FB who is running directly at his own goal, FB passes wide to CB who hoofs down the middle" while under pressure over and over again you've got to wonder why. I wouldn't be surprised if Spurs had played more passes in their own area than anywhere else.
  11. I don't know what Angeball is, but it isn't very good.
  12. Newcastle 3 vs. 1 Tottenham (Sat 12.30pm, TNT) Brentford 2 vs. 0 Sheff Utd (Sat 3pm) Nottm Forest 1 vs. 2 Wolves (Sat 3pm) Bournemouth 1 vs. 2 Man Utd (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Arsenal 2 vs. 2 Aston Villa (Sun 4.30pm, Sky)
  13. I saw that earlier and couldn't for the life of me work out what columns C, D and E meant, how it was worked out, or why? Is that saying that every PL club has made transfer profit in the last 3 seasons bar Leeds once? I hate finance, my degree is two decades old and useless now, though that spreadsheet is formatted horribly.
  14. Surely the carnage caused here is as teams fall in and out of the European places and have to massively change their financial structures. Firesales and effective transfers in embargoes? Sounds fun.
  15. I watched it to the end, past the episode that was just a shit Matrix (though in fairness they sort of confessed to it near the end) all the way to the zombie cliffhanger at the end. Horrible, not a single likeable character.
  16. I dunno, as much as there wasn't much superhero stuff as they got past the good episodes there was loads of high-ish concept big-ish budget sci-fi flying around (Flash Forward, The Event, Revolution, Terra Nova, that Kiefer Sutherland one...) post Lost, most of which didn't make it past the first series. The problem with Heroes was that the first series was fairly interesting and compelling, but they obviously had no idea where to take it or even which characters to focus on, so it just got worse and worse. Audiences (certainly me anyway) were probably burnt out on tv where "what happens next" cliffhangers are the main pull but it's obvious they don't have an endgame and odds are it'll be cancelled before they cobble one together anyway. Just let it die, if Reborn couldn't end it properly what else have they got?
  17. Better than Christmas. Hope he stays forever.
  18. The problem he has is doing big club whinging while at a small club. Should have done an Arteta and pretend "this ref is shit" means something different in Belgian.

Yard Act translating (almost literally) to a North American listener actually amazes me, I struggled at first to "get it" and I'm only 80 miles ish from Leeds... Also very much enjoying Bob Vylan, and regretting the fact I've missed them twice (not my fault) at local festivals.
  20. Bizarre little scene from the Arsenal game last night, Tuchel was fuming. I can't decide whether the referee is useless or should be applauded, but he's reffed it like an under 10s game (and in fact more leniently than some...).
  21. The bit that I don't quite get is that this is for overspending in 2022/23 (I.e. last season), so why did the previous deduction kick in this season and not last where it would have relegated Everton? Is it just that they're only just implementing these rules?
  22. Every now and then Simon Bird pops up on a story and it's all I can think of.
