  1. Crystal Palace 1 vs. 3 Man City (Sat 12.30pm, TNT) Everton 2 vs. 1 Burnley (Sat 3pm) Luton 2 vs. 1 Bournemouth (Sat 3pm) Brighton 0 vs. 3 Arsenal (Sat 5.30pm, Sky) Man Utd 1 vs. 3 Liverpool (Sun 3.30pm, Sky)
  2. Not aimed at you but still brilliant. Who could have thought that a World Cup winner who was already brilliant in the Premier League would go on to be brilliant in the Premier League?
  3. I'm enjoying it as a spectacle, but largely down to how shite both sides are these days. I'm a simple man, but can you really describe a cross that bounces unchallenged in the penalty area as "one of the passes of the season"? Just piss poor defending, and a very brave header from Garnacho.
  4. Thanks to the good folks at Weetabix I'm extremely regular.
  5. Random aside that I'd forgotten about, it was fairly obvious there was a stoppage first half to break Ramadan fasts, but also weirdly Ben Godfrey was passed at least two of those energy pouches or whatever they are in the second half. Led to a brilliant moment when the Everton physio had sprinted all the way round to the other side of the pitch, failed to get his attention for 5 minutes and just had a chat with a ballboy for ages.
  6. He's an ex mackem, he's never not going to be booed at Newcastle. He gets more than most (and there aren't really many notables around these days anyway) largely because he gives it back.
  7. Nope. If nothing else he's a good but erratic keeper so getting in his head tends to help. You're right though, deserved point. Also I left my woolly hat behind, so a disaster of a night all round.
  8. Oh, and just to add to Miley getting injured for England last week and Lascelles, Livramento, Krafth and Almiron all limping off yesterday...
  9. Don't know if anyone picked up yesterday, but there's a new directive that ballboys aren't allowed to give players the ball anymore, they have to just put it on those cone things and the players have to collect it. Classic PL thing of fixing something that didn't really need fixing that confused the life out of some players and added even more time to every goal kick.
  10. I was genuinely tempted to post the same thing...
  11. Newcastle 3 vs. 0 West Ham (Sat 12.30pm, TNT) Bournemouth 2 vs. 1 Everton (Sat 3pm) Sheff Utd 0 vs. 2 Fulham (Sat 3pm) Liverpool 3 vs. 1 Brighton (Sun 2pm, Sky) Man City 1 vs. 1 Arsenal (Sun 4.30pm, Sky)
  12. That came out on the same day the club announced this NFT crypto bullshit. The sport is broken.
  13. I saw the trailer for it and my immediate thought was "I'll watch that on telly at some point". Appreciate I should probably be good and support British comedy films in the cinema, but when pretty much the entire cast are in good things on tv now it feels a bit much to pay cinema prices (this is very much my "AEW TV is good so it makes me not bothered to pay the PPV cost" cheapness). Contrast that to Wonka which wrapped up some brilliant comic actors (seriously, 4 from Peep Show, 3 Ghosts and Bob Fossil) in a lovely Hollywood production and was amazing. Just love the fact Paul King's IMDB "known for" is Wonka, 2 Paddington's, and The Mighty Boosh. That's Iannucci standard flag flying.
  14. My Welsh is getting better, I've already picked out quarterback and VAR.
  15. The fact it goes to an online public vote is ridiculous really, if the shortlist is 10 each time there'll be players on the shortlist for years. Not that anyone cares of course.
  16. Just an FYI that the latest shortlist for the PL Hall of Fame is out and includes Sol Campbell, so a reminder to vote for people who aren't Sol Campbell.
  17. Sick scenes: In other Nike news, the comments and quotes on this. Fucking hell. Like no football shirt ever has fucked about with flags.
  18. Somethings definitely gone wrong with pricing in recent years, when a kids shirt is £65 they're just taking the piss. It's no wonder people just buy knockoffs. I rarely buy any these days, but I've succumbed to the Newcastle end of season sale and am now on my 4th week of waiting for an order which should take "7-10 working days". Castore are shite.
  19. And even with the obligatory "What about City?" out of the way, their spending last season basically became a meme, it's hardly surprising that they broke rules in doing so.
  20. We watched it at the weekend too, and as a couple who tend to not hugely enjoy Oscar fodder films we both concluded that it was weird yet strangely brilliant. It looked gorgeous too.
