  1. Cardiac Cards have been in full effect this year. I wonder what this team would look like if we had a competent offense.
  2. I went the exact opposite route, and was #1 in points before this last week. Matt Stafford. Battle of the #1 and #2 this weekend. Bring it.
  3. You mean there wasn't enough time to run the draft, and maybe we should have had a shorter amount of time for people to make their picks in the later rounds specifically to avoid this? I'll take Lance Kendricks.
  4. .. defenses, kickers and backup QBs? And we're still in single digit rounds?
  5. Rumor's that they're targetting Anderson Silva vs. Dan Henderson for the UFC on FOX debut show, assuming he gets by Okami: http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/8/23/2380567/report-ufc-targeting-anderson-silva-vs-dan-henderson-fox-debut Ryan Bader vs. Jason Brilz has been agreed upon for UFC 139. I like Bader, but if he can't beat Brilz, I don't see how he keeps his job.
  6. Their offensive line is fine, what are you talking about? Chris Myers, Eric Winston and Mike Brisiel are some of the top ZBS guys around, and Wade Smith/Duane Brown aren't bad by any stretch of the imagination.
  7. This TE run's going to bite me in the ass. Quick, everybody go after depth instead!
  8. Davone Bess Jimmy Graham Baltimore DEF Tim Hightower Pierre Garcon Marshawn Lynch Greg Olsen Brandon Pettigrew Mike Sims-Walker Not that hard. I'll take Stafford and his mob of hot chicks.
  9. Bastard. Figured he'd be there way later, really liked him as a sleeper.
  10. About two and a half weeks until the first game starts (Sept. 8th). We can still make it, just going to have to make an effort about making your picks quickly/sending in your lists. Speaking of which, who's on enough and is willing to take on lists? Preferably someone who isn't actually in this draft (Maxx?), but yeah.
  11. That whole speech was great, but that line was the clincher. Don't know if this should be spoilered, but whatever:
  12. Might be a coincidence, but you can be forgiven for figuring they are brothers, or at least related. I like Micah Miller, I look forward to seeing how well he does. Yeah, they're brothers. Haven't seen BJ fight, but Taz (Josh) is a fucking wizard with submissions. This cast list is STACKED, there's not a single fighter who stands out as being unworthy. Louis Gaudinot, John Dodson, TJ Dillashaw, Carson Beebe, Johnny Bedford, Paul McVeigh, Roland Delorme, Taz.. Bantamweight is fucking LOADED, and at least half of them can/will/should make the drop to Flyweight whenever that division comes.
  13. More info on Fitzgerald's deal: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/08/22/fitzgerald-deal-looks-to-be-real-with-two-exceptions/ Damn.
  14. I almost took him over Lloyd a round ago, being able to still pick him up here was nice. A little bit of reading can be good for you. So, kickers & defenses... still don't see anything for QB, RB, WR, or TE. =\
  15. Yeah, he's pretty obviously trolling. On a related note, Irsay's awesome.
  16. What the fuck, we're taking defenses already?!?! edit - Oh right, I'm next. I'll take Mario Manningham. Value's too good not to.
  17. !! And reports are out that SpikeTV executives were at Bellator last night, so those Bellator to Spike rumors are looking a bit more sensible.
  18. I don't know if I trust him or not. He's injury prone and ridiculously inconsistent. But, he has tons of potential, and if ever there was a year for him to realize some of it, this would be it. Solid choice.
  19. And the majority of the serious cash will be paid over the next 4 years, according to Schefter. I imagine a huge chunk of that deal is coming in the form of a signing bonus, which will also go into lessening the cap impact considerably. If that's the case, then it's a gaudy number for his agent and other players to use in future negotiations, but certainly manageable from a franchise perspective. Not to mention that the majority of the incentives, from what I've heard, are tied into Fitzgerald making the All-Pro squad and winning a Lombardi or two, and if that's the case, it's safe to say he was worth the cash. I get where you're coming from, but wait for more contract details to come out before calling it an albatross.
  20. That's right on par with what Andre Johnson got last year, and over 8 years comes to $6.25 million guaranteed/per year. That's fine for a player of his caliber. I'm guessing the rest is heavily tied into incentives and the like, and the actual figure that will be paid out will end up being way, way smaller than the $120 million being reported (like how Haynesworth's deal wasn't really worth $100 million). It's just a nice figure for the agent to champion to the media. Still, hell of a chunk of change for Fitz.
