  1. When Mr Liverpool Jamie Carragher is saying it probably isn't a penalty...says a lot.
  2. This wasn't exactly Nigel de Jong... Actually, I'll put a little more effort into this reply. I'll start with saying I'm a neutral. Don't give a fuck who wins. Doku was playing the ball and Macallister jumped into his foot. Doku was stupid to put himself in that position to potentially give away a penalty, but it was also the type of decision that was right to stay with the referee. If he'd have given it, it wouldn't have been overturned. However, in not giving it, I also don't think you can argue for it being overturned. It is an admittedly small sample size, but the only people I see complaining are Liverpool fans. Other fans (I'll use Colly and myself here) are largely of the 'if it was given it would have stuck, but it wasn't, so it didn't' crowd.
  3. For me, Doku is playing the ball and Macallister jumps into contact. Surprised it wasn't given but also thought it probably shouldn't have been anyway.
  4. I guess it allows them time to line up someone new?
  5. Dirty Old Town is genuinely one of my favourite songs of all time.
  6. Is this cross platform? Couldn't remember. I should get involved if so.
  7. Poor tackles and stupid decisions, pretty much.
  8. Worth noting that I hate both teams. That's a red.
  9. I felt the same with the City/United one from the last season - the moment you are near the ball, you are interfering with play. Players have to in some manner adjust what they are doing due to your presence. Just fucking ridiculous. Right before half time too.
  10. Funnily enough, I watched Double Indemnity for the first time about three days ago. Loved it. I also was a big fan of Keyes in particular as a character.
  11. I'm already so fucking bored of all of the Saudi transfer news.

    Cricket!

He took a step in his crease and then did look back at his stumps before moving - it wasn't exactly immediate. I'll be very surprised if there isn't some form of apology from the Australian camp, even if it is more of a 'well, we were right by the letters of the law, but understand why people are upset'. It was a bad look and pretty poor not to withdraw the appeal. It also becomes an apology that is easier to make when you win...which is looking more likely after that wicket.
  13. Had FF XVI and the I-VI Pixel Remasters arrive on the same day. Oooo yeah.
  14. Yeah, Metacritic has it sitting at 88 off of almost 100 reviews.
  15. That was a definite penalty for me. He wasn't using his arms to propel himself or for leverage...it was just up in the air. You can jump without doing what he did. As I was posting this, Man City scored, so...all a bit moot.
  16. I think most people would take a fun 7/10 game, ultimately.
  17. You get wrestlers and minigames from what I can see. Yeah, cheers - should have made that clearer.
  18. You pay for the season pass, you get the DLC as it is released. It is a one off payment, but you usually get multiple seasons if a developer continues to support the game.
  19. Shows how much time I've had to play the game...I'm still on Sky Island or whatever it is called. Really need to find a chunk of time to sink into it.
  20. I only play for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes a day, so have spent my time with Zelda so far getting stuck on the Great Sky Island (seemingly), spending two days of plays trying to work out how to get back to the part I needed to get to, before realising that a small stretch of water linked the left side (where I was) to the right side (where I needed to be)...thus finally actually getting in a position to make progress. I'll be completing this game in 2030 at this rate.
  21. Completed God of War, clearing the deck for Ragnarok. When I say completed, I killed the end boss of the story....I only actually completed 28% of the game, which is pretty crazy really. Might go back and do some more when I find the time.
  22. Was what I was thinking. Wondering if I just suck it up and go the PlayAsia route.
  23. Did you buy a physical copy of the game? Or did you just go with the digital versions?
  24. I don't really think it is, but I still hear it used a lot so... As I said at the time, I get why it has been given, but I also find that there is enough of a debate to suggest it wasn't the stonewall penalty people suggest it is. If the contact was with the leg he swung at the ball, there'd be no debate, but as it looks like the main contact (if any) is Nunez dragging his leg into Diop's standing leg, it becomes more debatable. It wasn't helped by Nunez going down like he'd been shot, though I guess you would in that situation. EDIT - I've looked back at it a couple of times and he possibly catches the leg as it comes back into Diop's body actually, so it isn't the standing leg. Ultimately, if Diop just clears it, none of it happens. My only other real beef with that decision is that there does still feel a little bit of a 'given for some teams, not for others' element about some decisions we've had recently. Though not a direct comparison, the Bobby Reid/Kyle Walker clash in the Man City game was the type that feels like it would've been given if it was a possible Man City penalty. I could see the type of tackle Nunez got the penalty for not be given by some referees and by proxy for some teams. Maybe cynical thinking, but there've been a few too many decisions that are a bit dubious going against us.
