  1. Of the 20 reviews that carry a score that are summarised in that Reddit thread, 18 of them are a 7 or above. Just over a quarter of them are a 9 or above. "Reviews look a bit divisive, guys."
  2. Not sure how well I'd get on playing it as I don't have the patience for those sort of puzzle/adventure type games but the art style looks fantastic. Puts me in mind of something like Coraline.
  3. @probablyoliver Was the hot dog pork, brahmin or mole rat?
  4. Can't believe the complete and utter bottle job that is going on at the top of the Championship right now. Well, at least until Ipswich smash Middlesbrough later today no doubt.
  5. Necrobump because the show is finally out. Might as well use this thread so we can contrast people's optimism from the original announcement vs the finished product. Maybe a name change is in order? (They made a Fallout TV series) I haven't been keeping up on this whilst it's been in production or even in the pre-release hype outside of that one trailer with the vault dweller running into the ghoul before giving him a white meat babyface talk on doing the right thing. I was absolutely on board with that, the juxtaposition of this naive to the world character setting out into the outside world and experiencing all the nasties it harboured. Just got done with the opening episode and it does immediately hit you with the grim reality of the situation which resets the tone somewhat. I've only played 3 and 4, which I imagine is what they're going to draw heavily from, but the scenes in which they established the vault dwellers motivations felt like they perfectly captured the feeling of the equivalent moment from the games. Even something like the moment she steps out into the world for the first time and see's a ferris wheel on the horizon immediately evoked a feeling in me of doing the same thing and seeing some landmark in the distance and wanting to go explore. As far as I'm aware the 8 episodes that have dropped today make up the entirity of the season and they've gained pretty good feedback so far.
  6. Ayling already gone, Dallas retiring, Cooper extremely likely to be released in the summer...we really are approaching the end of an era.
  7. Whilst the untimely passing of Joe Kinnear will put the successes of his playing and managerial career in the spotlight, I'm sure none of us will ever forget the true highlight of his time in football; his media appearances whilst at Newcastle. Who can forget such legendary moments as 'Yohan Kebab' or "Which one of you is Simon Bird?" "Me." "You're a cunt."
  8. So that's who we've got to blame.
  9. Is that the guitar figure? Because I don't even care about wrestling figures and I kinda want that one.
  10. So Keemstar fake died yesterday for April Fools. Everyone naturally saw through this and are actually more upset to find out he's still alive.
  11. Just been to a screening of Seize Them! which is a very British movie. You've got Nick Frost amongst the main characters, Jessica Hynes is in there, Paul Kaye in a minor role and even down the guy who played Martin in Game On back in the 90's. It's about a Queen who gets overthrown but goes on the run with one of her servants and another commoner along the way so it's got this medieval type road trip vibe to it. For a comedy, it didn't get too much in the way of laughs from me or the audience in general so that's probably not the best sign. It's perhaps not in my wheelhouse though as it went a lot for that sort of 'lingering on a joke until it's worn out and then keep going a bit more' thing which I'm not much into. Most of the laughs that were there came from Nick Frost's characters and he did a good job in general, he plays that sort of loveable oaf well so that was a good casting choice.
  12. Bloody Nike at it again, bet they wouldn't take the names off the shirt of a Muslim country.
  13. He's just trying to get some brownie points now before he takes over after the Euros.
  14. I don't know what's happening with the EFL charge, the way I heard it summarised the league was like "Show us your plan for getting out of these financial issues we think you're in" and the club was like "lol, no" and that seemed to be it. Obviously interesting development for the likes of us, Ipswich, Southampton and the other surrounding playoff types but I think when the EFL one came up Farke had the attitude of you can't account for things like that so you've just got to keep trying to get promoted on your own terms. Certainly for this season you'd have to be suspicious of the figures involved when they have people like Vardy still there on silly money whilst likely no one in their team had wage drop clauses like we did, even if they did get big money for Maddison and Barnes.
  15. There's a Humble Bundle out for the EDF series which is basically a mindless shooter essentially set in the midst of a 1950's sci-fi B-movie about giant bugs, space aliens and Godzilla adjacent monsters, featuring such classic dialogue as "Do you like death? Then die!" At the very least I'd suggest throwing down the buck that will get you EDF 4.1 because you'll get your moneys worth even if you only spend a couple of hours screwing around shooting giant ants. If you pay top whack then you get 4.1, Wingdiver The Shooter, Iron Rain, 5 and World Brothers plus some DLC which for only £14 though is a pretty good value considering some of those later titles still go for like £15 on their own during Steam sales despite being out a while. I already bought Iron Rain last year so I have a spare key now if anyone's interested, hit me up. Iron Rain is one of those weird ones like Insect Armageddon where a western studio got their hands on it and learnt the wrong lesson from the general "IT'S LIKE A PS2 GAME!" feedback people have about the series so decided to try and throw a bunch of graphics at it. Still, decent enough entry to the series. EDIT: I actually already owned Wingdiver the Shooter as well so someone is free to have that as well I guess, though that is a spin off top down shooter type thing so not quite the same thing as the core series.
  16. The plain current shirt is listed at RRP £75 on the England store, albeit discounted currently and I imagine it's been reduced over time so £85 sounds about right. And @Chris2K whilst I get what you mean about the colour tone on the tweet, the images on the Nike store and the footage on Youtube of the England teams looking at the new kits suggest it is closer to the Tweet image. The one you've posted is similiar to the one I linked where the colour scheme is much different, especially in the secondary colour for the Nike logo and the crest where it looks more luminous yellow compared to the rose gold of the actual shirt.
  17. I remember seeing the leaks for the England ones and liking the raisin away kit. Looks like it's toned down compared to those leaks though, like looking at this one specifically it was more vibrant which is a shame. Some other good kits on show like the Portugal away and the French kits, if only because there's something about the giant cockrel for a crest. Also the German away, if only because I'm a sucker for loud, brash alternate kits:
  18. *Millwall defender tries to GTS Joe Rodon* Ref: No penalty. Edit: Top of the league! Obviously there's a long way to go yet, especially given how much everyone at the top wins and Leicester have a game in hand now, but it's crazy to think we were 17 points behind Leicester only a couple of months ago.
  19. I know he's had a history in the various age groups with England but I'm curious if Scotland have ever tried to cap tie Archie Gray.
  20. In honour of Mar10 day, Nintendo have announced that a sequel to the Super Mario Bros movie is due in April 2026, thus further surpassing the Bob Hoskins movie by actually following up on it's sequel bait.
  21. Sharon must have had a word in his ear because Warnock is now gone despite winning today.
  22. Oh yeah, I was subbed when he first popped up again on YouTube and was doing interviews with people like AVGN, Scott the Woz and Tommy Tallarico (as seen in that one Hbomb video). Then he started doing daily podcasts with his brother which I couldn't keep up with but whatever. Then he made a big song and dance about bringing back SideScrollers which coincided with a HARD pivot to the right, at which point I jettisoned that subscription into the sun. I did look the other day actually and saw he had Dean Cain on which about sums that up.
  23. Rooster Teeth shutting down after 21 years I was never really into their stuff outside of the early years of RvB, I still have some of those early episodes and skits memorized. Just RVB alone feels like it had a massive impact, not just as a pioneering force of machinima in the 'early internet days' of the 00's but on Halo itself, I remember those guys getting easter egg cameos in Halo 3 and Griffball being incorporated into the games. I was a ScrewAttack guy back in the day which got absorbed into RT but there still some of those guys there to this day, like Chad just tweeted that it's been like 15 years for him between the different companies and restructures so it goes to show what a big part of the internet culture it's been in our lives.
  24. TBF, the reaction from MK Dons was equally as passionate:
