I'm surprised I gave the album a middling review back in 2011 and gave Metallica more credit than they deserved. I distinctly remember saying somewhere that, even though I'm a huge Metallica fan and never been arsed by Lou Reed's work, Metallica's contribution was not up to scratch compared to what Reed brought to THE TABLE. I've not listened to Lulu since that review, and it's rare for me to never revisit an album.

I love how Jeremy Wells and Paul Williams didn't try to replicate the Greg and Alex relationship either. It was a lot more jovial and kinder. Paul is a great Alex - more younger and respecting of authority rather than Alex's butler role.

Just finished it. This was so much fun. For anyone who loves the UK version, most definitely check it out. Plus it proves you don't really need to know the contestants before they go on the show, because I would've been buggered for UK season 11. I hope they renew NZ for at least another series or two - I could get used to there always being a Taskmaster series on the go.

It was obvious from Angel season 4, where they completely trashed the Cordelia character, that Whedon was getting back at Charisma Carpenter. Some quite twisted shit.

I've started the New Zealand version (3 episodes in, I'm watching 1 a night over dinner). Good stuff so far, pleased they have their own unique tasks.
