  1. Pepsi, he was pissed at his team? IT'S HIS TEAM! Coaches catch the blame for losses all the time. And he made some questionable moves himself. So, stay out there, and take it on the fucking chin. With YOUR team.
  2. And I'll say it again. His defense probably wanted to hide too. So did the rest of his team that was out there. But they had to stay around.
  3. Ok, Pepsi. Aside from the mindless banter, what kind of leader leaves his "troops" on the field? That D had to stay and deal with it, why shouldn't Belichick?
  4. And I knew he should have tried that 49 yarder when it was 7-3. Go for it? In a close game like that? Not to totally second guess the guy, but 14 + 3 = 17.
  5. Point taken, Norro. My apologies. Anyways, it is so nice to see them lose. I wanted this to happen. I wanted 18-0, then...failure. Eli gets MVP? It was either him or Tyree. And Strahan is the most pissed off happy guy I've ever seen...lol.
  6. That's class Bill. Class. Don't bother coming back out, you self righteous cheating prick.
  7. Jason, saw the pre-edit and cringed. Then.... BAM! Redemption.
  8. You...hey...guy from Connecticut...were you around when your boys were losing? Pats fans...
  9. Tom Terrific? Only when he's not pressured. The Giants need to get it done. Lock it up, now. Look, if a team like the Colts went perfect and won the SB, great. They're a classy bunch from owner on down, to the fans really. But the Pats? I'd want to see Cleveland win a Super Bowl before those cocky pricks get to 19-0. And I'm a Steelers fan...
  10. Smart move Hoodie. Smart move. "Umm, Steve, listen...we know it's only 7-3, and that we're in a dome, and that you're pretty much money. But we're going to go ahead and skip this field goal so Tom can throw it out of the end zone, right over double coverage." Right.
  11. Tom Petty = Legend http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Petty Enhance your education....
  12. Or do the Giants need to be less lucky up front? Brady has shown time and time again that when his line falters, so does he. He has the scrambling skills of Bernie Kosar, and pretty much the same escapability. It boils down to the Pats O-Line. If they block and let Tommy Boy stand and deliver, the G-men are done. If Tuck, Osi, and Strahan keep getting to him like they did in the first half, Giants will win.
  13. Hmm...for my money, I'd say Kongo or Hardonk. I'd love both fights.
  14. I have been watching UFC since the beginning, and this was the first fight in a LOOOONG time I got that tingly feeling for. I got desensitized after Shamrock/Ortiz and Rampage/Liddell, so I quit buying them (but still followed). But as a pro-wrestling fan, I was excited for this. And I wasn't disappointed. Lesnar, with more time and training, will have the ability to dominate the HW division. Granted, Mir is an overrated has-been, but is still a submission master. He went in, threw Mir around, used his face as a speed bag, and...got stood up? Without a warning? Bullshit. Even if the punch was intentional (which it wasn't) it deserved a warning first. That fight would have been over. Hell, it already was. But, no excuses. Brock did well going right back to it, but was more tentative, let his inexperience get the best of him, and he let Mir do what Mir does best. I knew as soon as he stood up with the deer in headlights "what now" look that his leg was about to be used like a balloon animal, and Mir cinched it in tight. All in all, it was a rookie mistake, by a rookie fighter, and now he can go back to the drawing board for his next one. A lot olf MMA fans on MMA boards are gloating that Lesnar doesn't belong. I think they are horribly misguided. He has NOTHING to be ashamed of. He made a mistake, and he got caught in a submission by a highly regarded fighter. I didn't hear anyone talking about how bad Liddell sucked when Rampage took him off the ground and into the Twilight Zone with one punch. I can't wait to see who he fights next.
  15. I don't know how many Rush fans dwell here at EWB, but I decided to post this review here to see what other people thought. I give Snakes and Arrows an 8/10. The Canadian trio has always done a fantastic job of reinventing themselves, and S&A is no exceptions. There are 3 songs that could be played on a New Rock station and fit in fine in Far Cry, Workin' Them Angels, and Faithless. While it isn't old Rush, it isn't supposed to be. The ONLY drawback is some of the lyrics. Peart really dug deep, and I get that considering what he's been through, but By the end of the album, you need the pick me up of that last song, We Hold On. Good Lyric: 'Pariah dogs and wandering madmen, barking at strangers and speaking in tongues' Makes Me Want To Slit My Wrists Lyric: 'Sometimes the pain is strong and the will is too weak' Lifeson's guitar solo in Faithless is ridiculously good, as is his layering on just about every song. Peart's drums are still face smashing, and wonderful. Geddy's voice may not be able to pound out the banshee wails it did in Fly By Night, but is still smooth and listenable. Plus, he's an effin god on the bass, still. Best Songs: 1) Workin' Them Angels 2) Far Cry 3) Faithless 4) Malignant Narcissism 5) Armor and Sword 6) Spindrift 7) The Main Monkey Business Songs I could do without: 1) Hope 2) Good News First 3) The Larger Bowl The other three are somewhere in the middle. All in all, if you are a Rush fan...buy it. If you aren't, give Far Cry a listen and judge for yourself. Don't expect 2112 Part 2 though. This CD is what Vapor Trails should have been, and is their best release since 1987's Hold Your Fire.
  16. My Steelers had a pretty good Day 1. I like Timmons, I think they could have went offense with the Woodley pick, and believe it or not, I like the Spaeth pick in the 3rd. Had Spaeth not been injured, he was up there with Zach Miller as far as projection. And Bruce Arians loves the idea of splitting Heath Miller out wide in the slot and still having a TE who can stretch the field. BTW, It's a matter of time before Miller is a Pro Bowler. Ben just needs to "Give Him The Damn Ball".
  17. That may very well be true, but it's not a need for them. I like Woodley, but Kalil would have been filling a DEFINITE need.
  18. Woodley to my Steelers,I like it, but I would have taken Kalil, Satele, or Leonard.
  19. Sadly, not even the Golden Domed Quarterback Demi-god will save the Browns. Remember, this is Cleveland. They find a way to mess it up.
