  1. I know this forum has some tennis fans, and I actually thought we had a thread but it seems there's only threads for the slams, although we haven't got one for the ongoing French Open! With Wimbledon only a couple of weeks away, I thought this'd be a good idea. Right now, the final days of the French Open are taking place, with Juan Martin Del Potro facing Roger Federer for a place in the final against Robin Soderling, conqueror of Rafael Nadal, and the women's final is Dinara Safina versus Svetlana Kuznetsova. So, where are the tennis fans!?
  2. Saw that we didn't have one for this year yet, so I thought it best to get one started before the Aussie Open starts on Monday (Sunday if you're in other parts of the world). I'll be posting my predictions after the full draw comes out, but just to start the discussion; who will win?
  3. Am I the only one interested in this? Anyway, Federer, Djokovic, Venus Williams and Wozniacki all easily through to the second round. A few interesting matchups coming in the next few days, including Nalbandian vs. Hewitt and Clijsters vs. Safina tomorrow.
  4. Has anyone been watching the French Open? Rafa Nadal has just been destroyed by Novak Djokovic, only his second ever defeat at the French Open in 11 years. Andy Murray looks likely to meet Novak in the semis, though he has just conceded the break up that he had in the third set against David Ferrer. I really enjoyed the Federer-Wawrinka bout yesterday, Stan was best from start to finish and thorougly deserved the win.
  5. With just a few weeks to go now until the Australian Open, it has been confirmed that Vera Zvonareva has pulled out of January's through injury.
  6. I figured we could stick all tennis-related discussion in one simple thread this year. Andy Murray has won the Brisbane Open today, a cracking start to the season for him and he can take some good momentum into the Australian Open. Be brilliant if he could win a major this year, but I still think he has his work cut out for him with the talent at the disposal of Djokovic, Nadal and Federer.
  7. Queens starts today, on BBC Two and also Eurosport.
