2 of those goals are just down to Alisson making mistakes. Which is frustrating. There were parts of that where Liverpool were equal to City.

City would be up like 20 pts in the table if they had a better start to the season. They're going to run away with it.

It's way too simple to narrow it down to one thing, but City having the greatest depth in the league is really showing now. Even with Aguero hardly featuring this year, they still have such incredible options to choose from that Pep can rotate regularly and they just don't miss a beat.

Sterling, Foden, Silva, Mahrez, Torres, Jesus, De Bruyne, and Gundogan for options in their front 5 is just scary depth.

Yeah Liverpool had, and maybe still has, a superior starting XI but when attrition sets in City can just keep cycling through options with minimal drop-off.

There were moments in that game where it was clear that these are the best two sides in england. Even with liverpool missing key players.

Theres just been a maelstrom of issues for liverpool this year. Injuries, COVID, aiming to defend the league title in a league where it's almost impossible to do so, while having done 2 90pts sessions back to back.
