That's strange, I got both from the Amazon.co.uk site, just after Requiem was released.

Also, as far as I'm aware it comes with subtitles but not dubbed over.

Wasn't there a problem with it being released in the USA? Especially the second one as some people said it condoned terrorism, which may be why you can't get it.

...I could walk into HMV this morning and buy both films if I wanted to. I surprised there's such a issue with getting them.

Apart from places where they're banned, obviously.

Easier to get them in the UK then in North America,

For some reason you peoples like Japanese movies more then we do =P

Hm, how ironic considering how I bitch about the availability of anime. ¬_¬

Yay for lax British laws on mass teenage killings.

I can't find the book. And I cannot buy it from the internet, I'm only 12.

You shouldn't be watching this movie then if you're twelve.

So there.

Mommy Kou knows best. :P

Anyways.. what's this movie about, and for somebody like me (who isn't too fond of subtitles) is it really worth buying?

If you don't know what happens, and you can manage to find a group of other people who don't either - watch it together. It's the best fun making up random theories over who dies/survives and how as you go along. :D We got something like 30 or 40 people watching it at school during lunch, and only 2 people had seen it before. Hilarity I tell you.

Guest Mr McFarlane

You had me at "except they have to kill each other".

Bunch of schookids kidnapped as, basically, Japan has gone down the shitter. They're put onto a random island and made to fight to the death, except it has to be won within 3 days otherwise they all die.

As for Requiem, the survivors of the previous BR's form a terrorist group (Wild Seven), so the government pass the BR2 act and kidnap more kids, but this time they have to kill the winner of the previous game (from the original BR). They're also paired together, so if there partner dies, they die.

Plus Requiem has Natsuki Kato in.
