So what does this actually mean then? I've seen the headlines and articles but not really understanding the idea

It's not really clear exactly what it entails in full and it's a handshake agreement in any case. But most significantly for college football is that it creates a scheduling agreement where the top schools from all 3 conferences will likely be playing each other. So you'd get Clemson vs Oregon and Clemson vs Ohio State, etc.

I'm guessing it means more interaction/games between the 3 conferences?

(And even more whining when an SEC team (or two) makes it to the championship game every year....)
