I feel like Trippier is a bit of a mad target considering they've got Wan Bissaka

Not gonna lie I'm gonna be gutted if/when Sancho goes to Man U.

It's a stupid thing to prioritise when there are conceivably two other right backs at the club who could challenge AWB. Club should be focussing on the bigger issues in the squad, like the lack of a disruptive central/defensive midfielder. Need to go out and find the next Ndidi, and do it this summer.

Brighton are close to signing Nicolás González after agreeing a club record fee of an initial £25m with Stuttgart for the Argentina forward.

The 23-year-old has been tracked by Graham Potter’s side for some time, Brighton having failed with an attempt to sign him last summer. Although Stuttgart have accepted a similar bid from Fiorentina, it is understood that González would prefer to move to the Premier League. He has also been linked with Leeds and Tottenham.

Brighton have been in negotiations over the fee for several weeks for a player who scored six goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances last season and the club have made a breakthrough, with the price set to eclipse the £20m paid for Adam Webster in 2019.

González, who moved to Stuttgart from the Buenos Aires club Argentinos Juniors in 2018 for £7.65m, is playing at the Copa América in Brazil.

Brighton are facing a potentially busy summer with reported interest from Arsenal and Manchester United in their England defender Ben White. Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the club’s Mali midfielder Yves Bissouma.

I like Man Utd's policy of declaring interest in a player but then absolutely refusing to meet the reasonable demand of the player's club for a fee.

Now it's Trippier, who they apparently don't want to pay £20m for. He's definitely worth that even if you only get 2-3 years out of him.

United apparently made a bid of £21.5 million two days ago so no idea what Adam is talking about, but either way, Trippier isn't really a needed signing and United should put that money to better use elsewhere - like a defensive midfielder who can actually win the ball and progress it up the field.
