High on Life, the game written by Justin Roiland in which your guns talk in silly voices, is getting the biggest spread of reviews I've seen in a long time. Opinions range from it being one of the funniest and enjoyable games of the year to it being insufferably bad, and there are plenty of reviews in the middle as well. It's out on Game Pass tomorrow.

Personally, from the gameplay I've seen, I think it looks like a fairly mediocre shooter. I'm not sure if I could stomach ten hours of the Morty voice either.

Yeah, I love it.

I’m enjoying it, I like Rick and Morty and the shooting is basic but fun.

I've never seen Rick & Morty, won't start because of High On Life, but I really enjoy the game. I legit lol'd at the sewer kid bit. I mean, the game is nothing groundbreaking, it's a pretty basic FPS. It's bright and colorful, funny, and pretty straightforward gameplay. And it's "free" if you have Game Pass. Fuck it, easy decision.

And you can also watch Tammy & the T-Rex in full in-game, so that's another awesome part.

I didn't act as the game intended for the sewer kid, apparently missed a one off achievement for that. I did as they asked when you come back home after that quest though.

And yeah, I looked up that movie whilst that was happening to me. I was sat there thinking 'this clip is going on a while' but that's pretty funny that they licenced the whole movie. Though, bumping up the game file size for the sake of that isn't ideal given how much they skimp on hard drives with these systems, it's probably small after compression I suppose. I had no idea of the existence of that movie but, seeing the synopsis, it sounds right up my street.

Right after you posted that, it came out that High On Life is the most popular game on Game Pass (right now).

The top 5 is High On Life, Minecraft (!), Forza Horizon 5, FIFA 22 and Rainbow Six Siege.

I've had a quick look and found that it still worked as of November 2022. I haven't heard that it's changed.

In Xbox news, noted industry insider Jeff Grubb reckons a big showcase will take place at the end of January or beginning of February. It would make sense as an event to detail games coming in the first half of the year, with E3 then showing off whatever is coming after that.

Is the Fallout New Vegas DLC any fun? I wouldn't mind playing the game again sometime and the DLC packs are on sale for $1.99 each right now

Yes. The Casino not so much enjoyable. But I enjoyed the rest of them a lot. Plus you get to meet Joshua Graham and that's pretty much worth it. The last one I remember a lot, as it felt like everything got sorted out plot wise. Revealing the full story. It was fun for me to see how little bit's all tied in with the story going along through them all. Some cool loot too.
