TEW20 Real World Update: June 2022

Recommended Posts

Here is the update for June, nothing too big this month, I've started working through adding some default gimmicks to base wrestlers, I've gone through the non-active wrestlers sorted, now working through the bulk of active wrestlers by region and gender, it's just a slow case of going through and checking everyone manually. Other than that just the usual, there are some additions, renames and a duplicate removal (full list in the editor). Beyond that nothing major, just the typical updated and additions you'd expect each month. I've probably missed a few things to feel free to rant and rave about them here.

Enjoy

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is [Promotion] closed when they are active?
Due to how slow the game runs with more promotions active, I have included active promotions but have them closed, to identify these they have their opening date and closed date the same. To activate the promotion simply remove the closed date.

MJF should have a drastic change to his backstage behavior in light of what happened between Double or Nothing weekend and then on the June 1st Dynamite.

MJF is a weird one, I feel he is a guy who lives the gimmick, and I'm getting strong Pillman vibes from this, so for me it's hard to side one way or another on this.

Could be, but that type of behavior would create issues with his employers in game.

Heads up, for the next update I'm dropping Championship Wrestling from Hollywood for Deadlock Pro Wrestling, the simple reason being CWFH is a pig to get recent info for and DPW was one of the top US feds wanted to be added.

Media Groups

Here’s the state of play after the Warner Bros. Discovery merger. Whether putting all of the networks under the one Warner Bros. Discovery banner is better than subdividing them by the various groups they have, but, here goes…

Main Division:    Warner Bros. Discovery Networks (all USA)

  • Cartoon Network
  • Destination America
  • Discovery Channel
  • TBS
  • TNT
  • truTV

Main Division:    Warner Bros. Discovery Asia-Pacific

Subdivision:    Warner Bros. Discovery New Zealand (formerly MediaWorks New Zealand)

  • Bravo (joint with NBCUniversal International)
  • Eden
  • Rush
  • Three

Main Division:    Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA

  • Cartoon Network (UK)
  • DMAX (Germany, Italy, UK)
  • Quest (UK)
  • TCM Movies (UK)
  • Tele 5 (Germany)
  • WarnerTV Serie (Germany) formerly TNT Serie (Germany)

Subdivision:    Warner Bros. Discovery Nordics

  • Kanal 5 (Sweden)

Subdivision:    Warner Bros. Discovery Poland

  • TVN Group (including TVN and TVN 7)

Subdivision:    Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe

  • Eurosport

Couple little things I found when starting a game in Japan.

-Mitsuhide Hirasawa should be retired.
-The Winger should be retired.
-El Samurai should be retired.
-Taiyo Kea should be retired.
-Ninja Mack should be available to work in Japan.
-Kenzo Suzuki should be retired.

The guys I set to retired all haven't worked in the past couple of years. Could be the Rona keeping them away, but they are inactive.

AEW notes -

  • Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quen need Matt Hardy removed as manager
  • Jade Cargill, Kiera Hogan and Red Velvet are managed by Stokely Hathaway
  • Red Velvet and Stokely are heel
  • Julia Hart now a heel and manages Malakai Black (and arguably Brody King and Buddy Matthews) remove from Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman
  • Christian Cage is now heel
  • Marko Stunt, Jack Evans have all gone
  • Dan Lambert manages Paige Vanzant, Ethan Page and Scorpio Sky
  • Jungle Boy is dating Anna Jay
  • Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti are now heels, and managing each other
  • Don't think Tully is still managing Shawn Spears, but not certain on this one
  • Sonjay Dutt manages Jay Lethal
  • Mark Sterling manages Tony Nese
  • William Regal maybe a babyface, no idea on this one though
  • FTR should be faces
  • Hook is a babyface
  • Daniel Garcia is a heel
  • Inner Circle and Jurassic Express stables can be made inactive
  • Wheeler Yuta needs to be moved from Best Friends to BCC
  • Another debateable one - Kenny Omega, Don Callis and Michael Nakazawa removed from the Elite, make Adam Cole leader and rename the Undisputed Elite
  • Few Tag Team tweaks
    • A Boy and his Dinosaur renamed to Jurassic Express
    • Fish and O'Reilly renamed to ReDragon
    • MJF and Wardlow made inactive
    • TayJay made inactive

I think Omega is still in The Elite/Undisputed Elite. It is a hard call since Kenny is gone with the injury he had harbored since the end of his New Japan run.

Gone through and changed those, a few I had fixed up already for next month as I have done a small roster tidy for AEW, I've also done some minor pop boosts across the roster, most notably putting Page, Omega, Bucks & MJF to a Well Known level they are at the same level as Andrade, Jeff & Joe but below the big ex-WWE guys. I held off on the Elite stuff since with Kenny injured not sure what's happening there.

Also regarding rosters I've given GCW, MLW, NWA, PWG and TJPW a small tidy up too.

- Warner Bros Discovery Networks
- Warner Bros Discovery Asia-Pacific
- Warner Bros Discovery EMEA
