so i bought leaf green from grangier games today, tonight, reading the side of the box that it is a american version, question: is the any difference between the americna version and the euro version? like trading and stuff

If it's anything like Gameboy carts, it won't matter. I got the Pokemon Gold cart when it was released, but it turned out it was an American version, but it could still play perfectly on European machines, it could trade and everything. I know that would be for GBA, so I'm not as sure, but I'd assume it's the same. Best bet would be to give the place you bought it from a call and ask, chances are it'll work fine.

Portable consoles don't rely on NTSC or PAL to display stuff, so the hardware is identical. As to whether the actual game content is different, I couldn't say, though I'd asusme it wouldn't seeing as there'd be extra costs involved and stuff.
