eh, you won't like any of my suggestions, but oh well.

nine inch nails - Dead Souls (Joy Division)

Tool - Stranglehold (Ted Nugent)

Devo - Head Like A Hole (nine inch nails)

Johnny Cash - Personal Jesus -_-

Actually, Iron and Wine's cover of The Postal Service's "Such Great Heights" is awesome.

I quite like Marilyn Manson's version of Sweet Dreams.

Dope's version of You Spin Me Right Round (Dead or Alive), is pretty cool. And million Dead have done a good one of the Smith's "Girlfriend in a Coma" They did it live, apparently it's been recorded for a Smith's tribute album, but i've not been able to acquire it.

Megadeth - No More Mr. Nice Guy (Alice Cooper)

Rage Against The Machine - Fuck The Police (NWA)

Murderdolls or No Doubt - White Wedding (Billy Idol) - I'd go with the No Doubt version, myself.

Monster Magnet (I think) - Cars (Gary Neuman)

Garth Brooks - Hard Luck Woman (KISS) :shifty:

And the Crickets didn't do the original version of `I Fought The Law'. The Bobby Fuller Four did. They just sound kind of like the Crickets.

Snake River Conspiracy - Love Song (The Cure)

Foo Fighters - Baker Street (Gerry Rafferty)

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over The Rainbow/What A Wonderful World (it's on that Lynx advert where the two half naked people make their way back to the supermarket picking up their clothes as they go along)

Velvet Revolver - Money

Grateful Dead - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds

White Stripes - One More Cup Of Coffee

Marilyn Manson - Working Class Hero

Why duck? It's a badass cover.

Well, hasn't El Baboon said that he hates Cash's covers of stuff?

Anyways; The Presidents of the United States of America - Video Killed the Radio Star

ORRRR...

The Pillows - Video Killed the Radio Star

The former sounds more like the song and is clearer, but the second has better musicianship.

Dope's version of You Spin Me Right Round (Dead or Alive)

Seconded, though I might be biased because of it's source

"Music" by Out Of Your Mouth

Horrible, the song, the band, the cover... it's like taking three horses, giving them 250 pounds of beans, 3 gallons of laxitive, and expected a rose garden.

Well, hasn't El Baboon said that he hates Cash's covers of stuff?

People need to stop treating Squancho like some kind of musical diety. OH MY GOD OBSCURITY! Squancho is no more bipartisan or immune to error of judgement then anyone else. You guys tend to like him because he likes your obscure indy bands, which while acceptable, doesn't mean he's completely correct 100% of the time. He always backs his favourites, even when those favourites are pretty bad.

Besides, it's all opinion. And my asshole doesn't stink, like everyone has a computer.

The Presidents of the United States of America - Video Killed the Radio Star

Decent. I thought the original was intelligent but kind plodded... the covers are all pretty good.

Check out Kenny Wayne Shepherd's cover of "Oh Well". I know you like the original, so maybe you'll like this version...
