RIP Rodney.

Words can't express my gratitude for all the laughs he's given me and my dad when we read his comedy books and watched his movies.

Rodney was a major part of my relationship with my father, and I will always be a major fan of his.

Here's to you Rodney, tonight I'll shed a tear or two and watch Back To School in your memory.

RIP to one of the best comedians ever. I loved his jokes. His death came out of nowhere to me, had no idea he was sick. RIP Rodney.

I thought he died last year, and up until about a week ago I thought that. So for a week he was alive in my book... before dying... again.

god that sucks. I can't say that i'm as big of a fan of him compared to some of the other people here, but I did enjoy every movie of his that I have seen and it sucks that he's now gone.

When reading an article regarding this, the English major in me realized something- Dangerfield's trademark line ("I don't get no respect") is a double negative, meaning that they cancelled each other out (i.e. He does get respect.)

Thankfully, the signs in this thread show that it was actually the truth. RIP to one of the all-time great comics.
