Hogan signs for TNA

user posted image

Press ran hot this morning as NWA:TNA signed legend Hulk Hogan for what is believed to be a two year contract worth in the vicinity of $600,000 dollars outright. The fifty year old announced the signing alongside Jerry Jarrett at a press conference this morning. It is believed TNA are trying to really start mounting a challenge to the WWE, after extending and securing the services of such wrestlers as AJ Styles and Raven for a further two years. Worse news for the WWE, is that the currently injured Kevin Nash reportedly wants out of the promotion, to join TNA. More news will follow.

The V Report for WWE Smackdown!

Thursday, 4 December 2003

Attendance: 7543

-Announcers are Michael Cole and Tazz

-Opening segment. Out comes Brock Lesnar, Mr Mean, Mr Angry. He obviously isn't happy at Paul Heyman making the Royal Rumble event, and gives Benoit and Cena a bit of a roasting. He says that neither of the two deserve to face him, and Paul Heyman should be ashamed of making two 'nobodies' #1 contenders. He says he will take his anger out on Funaki, but to make things fair, his title will be on the line.

-Brock Lesnar © v. Funaki

WWE Title Match. Total squash, yet lasted five minutes for Lesnar to decimate Funaki. 'Naki comes out and attacks Lesnar instantly with a forearm, only to get lifted up and dropped to the outside. Lesnar follows him out and proceeds to ram his head against the turnbuckle. He then starts ramming him into anything he sees for another few minutes while playing to the crowd. Funaki is rolled in and F-5ed for the win at 4:48. * not really a match, but it will do. Lesnar then stands over Funaki with the title as we head to a...

Commercial break.

-We return with Chris Benoit walking into Paul Heyman's office. Heyman welcomes Benoit, and trusts that he is happy with his decision from last week. Benoit says he is, but of course would rather one on one. Speaking of which, it happens that Matt Morgan will make his singles debut tonight, and if Benoit wants a one on one match, he has got it. Benoit says he would take pleasure in destroying Morgan, and to 'make a man of him.' Sounds very heelish.

-Nunzio & Akio v. Jamie Noble and Ultimo Dragon

Nunzio and Noble start, both of their styles are suited, while Dragon and Akio suit their styles. Back and forth action early, but this all changes as Nunzio gets the first tag. Noble struggles a bit against Akio, before a dropkick allows him to get the tag to Ultimo. This continues for a bit, with the Noble/Dragon team rarely getting the upper hand at all. Akio Time finishes the Dragon at 7:23. *** 3/4, nice match. Given a surprising amount of time, and Nunzio and Akio proved why they are some of the best workers in the Cruiserweight Division.

-After the match, Tajiri comes to the ring (NOTE: Without Sakoda) as Noble and Dragon leave. Nunzio and Akio are still celebrating to the boos of the crowd, before Tajiri turns Nunzio around and gives him the Black Mist to the face. Nunzio falls to his feet and Tajiri and Akio have an altercation. Tajiri gets handed a microphone and begins to talk in Japanese. THANKFULLY, Akio understands Japanese and English (but it didn't stop Tazz trying translate Tajiri, involving the words pajamas and souvlaki.) Akio continues to answer in English, saying he is still with Kyo Dai, but Tajiri doesn't agree. As Nunzio begisn to stir, Tajiri Buzzaw Kicks him back to the ground. This prompts Chuck Palumbo and Johnny Stamboli to come rushing to the ring to a surprisingly large pop. Palumbo goes to check on Nunzio, while Stamboli attacks Tajiri. Sakoda FINALLY comes out to save Tajiri, only to be Superkicked by Palumbo. Akio goes to pull Stamboli off Tajiri, but gets elbowed in the head. Tajiri and Sakoda then go head to head with Palumbo and Stamboli, only to be broken up by the members of each of their stables. As Nunzio and Akio try to calm down their respective groups, we head to a commercial break.

Commercial break.

-Just a quick not on the last segment, very Romeo and Juiliet like...only with men.

-The Big Show is backstage with a shiner on his right eye. He says that last week, before he and the A-Train were 'cheated' by Rhyno and Bradshaw, Rhyno had the audacity to cheap shot the Big Show and give him the black eye. He says, tonight he will take on the tag team champions with A-Train, and hopes to show Rhyno just how much pain he can dish out on a human being, and what will happen if he continues to cross his path.

-The Big Show & A-Train v. Los Guerreros

Non title match. Cole and Tazz focus on the difficult times that the Guerreros have gone through, and hope that they sort things out. That's nice. Too bad this was an absolute shellacking, mostly focussed on Chavo. Show looked in better shape then last week, but as soon as the US Title is off him, I'd expect him to have a little time off. When Eddie was in the ring with Train, he had the spotlight, but all ended as Rhyno ran in, goring both Show and Train for the DQ at 6:12. ** Chavo goes to hit Rhyno for DQing him, but gets clotheslined out of the ring. Eddie joins in with Rhyno, completely ignoring Chavo and attacks Show and Train. Out come the World's Greatest Tag Team. They attack Eddie, but Rhyno Gores them both down. And we head to a commercial break.

Commercial break.

-We return with everybody out of the ring apart from the WGTT. Both are clutching their stomachs after the Gore. Haas begins to talk, saying that Benjamin beat Chavo last week, so therefore they deserve a shot at the title. Paul Heyman makes an appearance saying that while it was impressive, many other teams deserve a shot, so next week he will announce the future of the tag team titles.

Commercial break.

-Chris Benoit v. Matt Morgan

Main Event. Matt Morgan's singles debut. Morgan starts off with a bit of offence, he is a big bloke compared to Benoit. Benoit sells the attack well, before gaining the upper hand. Some sloppy moments from Morgan, result in him completely missing a big boot, but Benoit makes it look planned with a quick thinking neck breaker. Some more average parts of the match before Benoit locks on the crossface. Morgan struggles to his feet, falling backwards and slamming Benoit into the ground for a two count. Cena then makes an appearance and we get the second DQ of the night as Benoit is F-Ued at 9:12. ** Morgan is very inexperienced, and it showed. Cena then continues to attack Benoit, but Morgan isn't happy he has lost his first match. Enter Brock Lesnar. As Benoit gets to his feet, Lesnar slams Cena with the help of Morgan. Benoit stumbles around a bit, and is the F-5ed by Lesnar. Morgan and Lesnar have raised arms as the show goes off air.

The V Word - Solid show, but didn't go all that far. Surprisingly, the FBI/Kyo Dai stuff was given the longest, and Sakoda still looks to have a part in the WWE. Interesting to see what the tag title stuff will be next week. I'm VW, signing off.

The V Report for WWE Velocity

Date: Saturday, 06 December 2003

Attendance: 7050

-Let me warn, this has quite possibly the best match I've seen on Velocity, and the worst match of all time. Be prepared.

-Announcers are Josh Matthews and Bill DeMott

-Nunzio & Akio v. John Hennigan & Matt Cappotelli

Opening match here, as the tag team who are on a role take on the Tough Enough champions from the previous TE. Cappotelli is much more over in the crowd then Hennigan, but more heat was based toward Nunzio and Akio. Mostly controlled by the heels here, but the TE Crew were given a bit of offence surprisingly. Cappotelli and Hennigan are wearing some poofish bright yellow tights, ala Billy and Chuck's old tights, and were soundly beaten at 4:29 as Cappotelli tapped out to a Sicilian Crab from Nunzio. ** 3/4, solid opener.

Commercial break.

-We get highlights of the Funaki/Lesnar segment from Thursday. I take my notes.

-Opening segment. Out comes Brock Lesnar, Mr Mean, Mr Angry. He obviously isn't happy at Paul Heyman making the Royal Rumble event, and gives Benoit and Cena a bit of a roasting. WWE Sign Former Talent

In a sense of deja vu around the WWE lockeroom today as three former workers returned, all of which will be spending a month or so in the Ohio territory. Viscera, Gangrel and Mideon all resigned today, Gangrel and Mideon on single year contracts and Viscera on a two year deal. All three immediately were sent to OVW for tuning up before a possible return to WWE TV in the near future. Gangrel is the closest to be being in full ring condition, and may have a call up before the time of the Royal Rumble.

The V Report for WWE Heat

Sunday, 7 December 2003

Attendance: 7008

-Your announcers are The Coach and Al Snow. Al hypes up his match against Stevie Richards and puts down Maven.

-Fairly good attendance

-Rob Conway v. Goldust

Opening match. Conway continues to grow his beard, and Goldust looks a bit out of shape. Fairly poor match, Conway isn't the best worker, but is getting some crowd reaction. Fairly even match, both getting the amount of offence so their character gains some credibility. In Conway's defence, he sold all of Goldust's spots well (including the Bronco Buster). Ending comes as Goldust gets given a reverse neckbraker, known to the commentators as the 'Connoisseur of Fine Wines' at 6:56 * 3/4. Goldust does that wierd sucky thing, offers a handshake. Conway accepts, and then smacks him in the chin. He walks off stroking his beard to the dismay of the crowd.

REWIND!

-Mark and Henry and Rodney Mack defeat Rob Van Dam and Booker T

-Booker T & Rob Van Dam v. Mark Henry & Rodney Mack /w Theodore Long

Main Event. Let us never speak of this again. TOTALE CLUSTERFUCKE. Thank god this didn't go long, because Rodney Mack and Mark Henry never look all that flash, and with two men who didn't look all that happy about having to do the job in the end, things were going to get messy. Back and forth action throughout the entire part of the match, before FINALLY it finishes. Booker goes for the blind tag but Van Dam is distracted by Long. Booker doesn't have time to see what really happened and is hit with the Black Out and submits at 8:12. * 1/2 Dragged and dragged and dragged and dragged and... Booker isn't happy with Van Dam, and ignores the real excuse of why he didn't tag in.

Nike end deal, SEGA signed

From WWE.Com.

SEGA sign WWE deal

user posted image

We are pleased to announce that SEGA has come on board for the WWE Experience. Nike have ended their deal and we wish them all the best in the future.

This move by Nike is understood to be because of the more risque nature the WWE has taken as of late, against what Nike wish their product to be seen as. We understand that SEGA are putting more money in than Nike for more exposure on TV.

Raw Preview

From WWE.Com

NEARLY THERE

7 DECEMBER 2003

With a week to go, Armageddon is upon us. Already, a massive five matches have been announced for a jam packed Armageddon card!

Will we tonight find out Kane and Shawn Michaels' mystery partners heading into the tag match at Armageddon and what will happen between Triple H and Goldberg?

For the chance to face Triple H at Armageddon, tonight's main event is set to be a ripper as Goldberg face both Randy Orton and Batista in a handicap match! This is a big chance for Evolution to kill off any threat from Goldberg, for good after he signed the contract last week that Ric Flair altered!

Don't miss all this, and much more, on Spike TV's Raw!

Personally, I like the shows.

While I haven't read from the begining, it's interesting to see you booking some stuff good, and possibly intentionally booking other things badly (Which is good, because hit or miss can be entertaining.) In addition, your Recap style is easy to read, but still good enough ot understand what's going on. Personally, i'm not a fan of the show previews, unless you feel like putting them at the end of posted shows, otherwise it just looks like bumping.

Anywho, this stuff is good and i'm suprised at the lack of feedback. Still, keep it up as you have at least one reader...

Also, the cheese kicked ass :shifty:

The V Report for WWE Raw

Monday, 8 December 2003

Attendance: 7016

-This is the FINAL Raw before Armageddon, so lets hope it is a cracker...for everyone's sake.

-Hosts are JR and The King

-NOTE: There is a cage above the ring

-Opening segment. The cage lowering music begins and the cage begins to lower. When it hits the ground out come Triple H with a sledgehammer and his water bottle. He walks around the cage and shakes it a bit, before entering through the open door. He goes on the apron, spits on the whole crowd with water and grabs a microphone. He talks up the history of cage matches, and what it takes to get through one. How prestigious a cage match really is. But Goldberg won't be in one. I quote, 'this scum sucking shadow of a human being will never have the chance to compete in a cage match'. At Armageddon, nobody will see this, because Goldberg will be nursing his wounds in hospital while The Game will be drinking champagne. And only the finest mind you.' He then begins to tear up the cage with his sledgehammer.

Commercial break.

-We return and the cage is up top, but from all reports, the bottom half is cut off to save anything from falling down.

-Rob Conway & La Resistance v. The Dudley Boys & Spike Dudley

6 Man Tag Match. Average match, but I wasn't expecting five stars from a six man tag match that is building up a PPV. Never the less, Grenier gets worse every time I see him. Everybody gets solid ringtime, well as much as you can get in six minute match. Spike is the whipping boy, as Dupree slapped him silly for a good minute. D-Von and Bubba Ray ended up winning it for their team as Conway was hit with the 3D at 6:37. * 3/4. Average. STAREDOWN. I love them. People trying to look as mean as possible.

Commercial break.

-We go backstage and we have The Hurricane and Super Jon Heidenreich (he hasn't been called that, but I say he will) asking Eric Bischoff for revenge on Rosey and The Emerald at Armageddon. Bischoff agrees to it, saying they can have a tag match. Rosey & The Emerald v. The Hurricane and Super J at Armageddon.

-Christopher Nowinski v. Maven

The Al Snow feud seems to have been demoted to Heat as of late (Or HeAT as they insist we spell it.) Maven looks in fine condition, while Nowinski doesn't, possibly this personal problem? Why put him on the show? Back and forth action, Maven tried his best to get the crowd involved, but he couldn't. Al Snow makes a run in at the end and socks Maven in the gob as Nowinski distracts the referee. Nowinski hits the Honour Role for the win at 5:12. * 1/2. Average match. Maven looks angry and grabs a microphone.

-Maven shouts at Snow to 'get his arse back in the ring.' Snow says no. Maven then challenges him to a match at Armageddon, but Snow declines. He says that Maven hasn't done a thing to deserve facing him at Armageddon, he hasn't even done enough to 'shine my shoes at Armageddon.' 'Oh I think he has...' says Eric Bischoff as he walks up from behind Snow. Bischoff tells Snow he has made his life a living hell, and Maven deserves to have a match. Snow finally gives in after a bit of arguing, 'let the teacher teach the student a lesson...'

Commercial break.

-Kane has his pyros explode and he comes to the ring looking cocky. He does his usual taunting, before grabbing a microphone. He says that after he and his partner beat Michaels, he will take on the World Heavyweight Champion, and beat him like he sucked the life out of The Undertaker. He wants to introduce us to his partner...Chris Jericho! Out comes Jericho and he talks up he and Kane's chance at Armageddon. Then Michaels comes out to the ring smiling aswell. He has a third microphone, and then turns to Jericho. He says he knows they haven't had the best of histories, but does he really want to join Kane? Kane says that HBK is just scared of Jericho, and becomes the 400th person to call him the Has Been Kid. A bit more bickering causes Jericho to TURN on Kane and cheap shot him in the forehead. The two attack Kane and Jericho accepts Michaels' offer to become his partner. After a minute or so, from behind them VISCERA (Wasn't he sent to OVW) comes out of the crowd and attacks Jericho and Michaels from behind. He sends Michaels into the ropes and clotheslines him to the ground (By clothesline, I mean he sticks his arm out). He does the same to Jericho. He delivers THE BIG SPLASH on Michaels, and then Jericho lumbers to his feet, he gives him a Sidewalk Slam. Viscera is all by himself, and he lifts his arms in the air, and helps Kane to his feet. Looks like we have a partner. Replays show Viscera come through the crowd, kick a guard rail down and slide into the ring. He looks as slow as normal.

Commercial break.

-Rodney Mack v. Rob Van Dam

We get about a minute of this match before another lumbering lump comes from the crowd. Van Dam beats on Makc before Henry comes out for the DQ and clotheslines Van Dam fiercely at 1:14. * 1/4 That's VISCERA-ESQUE FIERCE. The two beat down on Van Dam as Teddy Long rolls into the ring. He hypes up their big match, saying Mark Henry will be the ONLY black man in the WWE to hold a title. Henry taunts the crowd.

-Now we go backstage to see Goldberg warming up, punching a punching bag and rolling his neck around. His match...IS NEXT!

Commercial break.

-Goldberg v. Randy Orton & Batista

Main event. Handicap match. Goldberg wins, he faces Triple H in a cage next Sunday. Is there any doubting this result? Batista and Orton work away on Goldberg early, tagging each other frequently while working away on Goldberg's stomach. As Batista tags out, Goldberg begisn his superhuman comeback, with a kick to the shins. See, we need more of that. That would hurt more then an armbar. Bit more brawlings before Orton regains control, but when he goes for the RKO, he is pushed straight into Batista. Batista falls off the apron. A bit more of this, and Orton goes for another RKO, but gets pushed straight into the referee, who is smacked into the turnbuckle and he slides down to the ground, out cold. Then Triple H's music hits and he runs out with a sledgehammer. Goldberg turns around and Triple H goes to hit him with the sledgehammer, but Goldberg ducks and Triple H hits Orton. Triple H goes to check on Orton as Goldberg squats in the corner. Not take a squat. Keep the mind from the gutter people. Triple H turns and is speared into the mat. Batista comes into the ring and is shoved under the arm and Jackhammered! As the ref stirs, Goldberg kicks the sledgehammer out of the ring and makes the cover on Orton for the three at 9:22. ** Passable.

-Now, Goldberg picks Triple H up with a microphone in hand. He says now he has deserved it, now he will face Triple H. 'And Triple H...' he lifts him up and gives him a Jackhammer! 'YOU'RE NEXT!'

The V Word - Nothing in the way of wrestling, but the promos were good. Good build up to the PPV, I think most feuds got time apart from the Women's Title match.

We regret to inform the WWE fans that Val Venis and Chris Kanyon have been released. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

Kanyon was released we understand because of the lack of creative options. Venis has been unhappy as of late with his role in the company. TNA are possibly looking at both wrestlers in the meantime.

Poor Val. Still, good show. Viscera is a really weird choice for tag partner, but maybe you want to form a new Ministry with Kane? Also, glad to see "Heat" feuds getting some time. Although Al Snow vs. Maven seems never ending.

The V Report for WWE Smackdown!

Saturday, 11 December 2003

Attendance: 7534

-Announcers are Michael Cole and Tazz

-Opening segment. Paul Heyman comes to the ring to a chorus of boos. He begins off welcoming the crowd to his show, and tells them that they are in store for a great night. Last week, he said he would announce the future of the WWE Tag Team Titles. A bracket appears on screen.

He then thanks everyone for attending, andc proving why Smackdown! is better then Raw. Let's get the tournament started.

-The World's Greatest Tag Team v. John Hennigan & Matt Cappotelli

WWE Tag Team Titles Tournament - Round 1. Good solid match by the Tough Enough kids, crowd were hardly involved, but it was passable due to the lack of experience they have. WGTT dominated most of the match, but not entirely as they gave the TE Crew some good offence. Good spot from Cappotelli as he hits a sweet Hurricanarana on Benjamin, while Hennigan holds down the ropes, and Benjamin falls on Haas on the outside. End comes as Haas makes Hennigan tap out to the Haas of Pain at 5:12. ** 3/4 Good opener.

Commercial break.

-Brock Lesnar is out in the ring already and he begins talking about how he destroyed everybody last week on Smackdown. He wishes to show a video of this so EVERYONE can see.

-Chris Benoit v. Matt Morgan (Joined in progress)

Attendance: 7035

-Announcers are Josh Matthews and Bill DeMott

-A-Train v. Hardcore Holly

Not as bad as I would have thought, they both have relatively similar styles...I suppose. Back and forth match between the two men, lots of punches...and kicks...and punches...Fans were behind Holly for most of the match, and really got stuck into the A-Train. 'Shave Your Back's aplenty. Holly hits the Alabama Slam for the win at 5:12. ** 1/2 Not poor, but far from great.

REWIND!

Replay of Paul Heyman announcing tag team titles tournament.

The V Report for WWE Heat (Pre Armageddon)

Sunday, 14 December 2003

Attendance: 6000 or so and climbing

-Welcome to the pre WWE Armageddon show, here on Heat.

-Your hosts are Jonathan Coachman and Stevie Richards as Al Snow is preparing for his match.

-Rob Conway v. Spike Dudley

Main event. Conway comes to the ring flying the French Flag. The two grapple in the middle of the ring to start with with, Conway swivels Spike around and grabs him around the stomach. He locks in a bearhug, but Spike pulls himself to the ropes. Rope break, but Conway runs back, bounces off the ropes and hits a clothesline. Conway picks Spike up, but cops an elbow to the rips, followed by being sent into the corner. Spike comes charging in and gives a solid hip and shoulder straight into Conway's ribs. Conway falls to a knee holding his ribs, and Spike knees him right in the middle of them. Spike bounces off the ropes and flies with a knee straight into Conway's jaw. Conway falls to the ground holding his jaw, but draws Spike to him and grabs a knee, bringing him to ground. Conway leaps to his feet and makes a cover for just one, so he gets Spike to his feet and locks in a chinlock. Spike's arms wave around, and he slowly builds up and elbows Conway in the ribs. Conway charges at Spike, but he dodges and gives him a bulldogs. Cover for a two count. Spike goes up to the top rope, but Conway runs up quickly and pulls him off by the head, sending him slamming to the ground. Richards is not a bad commentator here, good heel. Cover for 1...2...Kick out. A few more minutes of brawling, and Spike slowly regains control as he works on the ribs of Conway. Spike goes for the dropkick on the back of Conway's head, misses completely, but Conway still sells it and falls to the ground clutching the back of his head. Spike starts banging his chest and grabs the back of Conway's head. He runs over the turnbuckle and goes for the Dudley Dog, but is caught midair, and is given a backdrop. Conway taunts the crowd, lifts Spike up and sends him to the ropes. Conway himself runs the other way, as they near each other, Conway hits the Connoiseur of Fine Wines for the win at 8:23. ** Not great, but a few blown spots dragged it down a bit.

-I'll see you soon for WWE Armageddon!

The ppV Report for WWE Armageddon

Sunday, 14 December 2003

Attendance: 15 602

-Welcome to the SECOND ppV report in V Wrestling history. Average card tonight, lets hope Triple H and Goldberg can go close to their surprisingly good match at Survivor Series. Looking forward to see Simon Diamond/Emerald in the ring. JR and the King welcome us and we will start straight away. Let's get into it.

-Maven v. Al Snow

Opening match. Both men have had pretty heated histories between each other, and JR and King hype this up big time. Al Snow begins by trash talking to Maven, and going to lock up with him, but he is kicked in the shins from a big reaction from the crowd. He locks in a front headlock on Snow, before being pushed into the turnbuckle. Snow gets out of the headlock, and whacks Maven in the mouth. He gets warned by the referee, so he moves round him and sends Maven headfirst back into the turnbuckle. Snow taunts the crowd, allowing Maven to quickly take him down by the leg. Maven tries to mat wrestle with him, but gets kicked off and falls on the ropes. Snow sends him to the other rope and then clotheslines him to the ground. He bounces off the ropes and hits a leg drop, before taunting to the crowd. He gets Maven to his feet, and scoop slams him. Cover for 1...2...kick out. Snow gets to his feet and waits for Maven to rise, and then hits a reverse atomic drop to the 'oohs' and 'ahhs' of the crowd. Snow tries to dominate Maven a bit more, but then it fails as Maven begins to stage a comeback. Maven gets a hit in on Snow, and whips him to the ropes. As Snow runs back, Maven dropkicks him to the ground. Now he is fired up, and he delivers another dropkick straight into Snow. Maven rushes to the top rope and Snow stumbles around and as he turns Maven goes for the dropkick, only to have Snow pull the referee in the way! The referee goes down and Maven runs to check on him. Snow turns him around and grabs Maven around the neck, but Maven pushes Snow away and hits a Superkick. Cover...1...2...3...4...5...Hang on, the ref is out cold. Maven goes over to try and wake the referee up, as Snow sneaks out of the ring and grabs a chair. Maven turns, cops a flat out pasting in the face from the chair and Snow throws the chair out of the ring. Cover...1...2...3...The referee wakes up and Snow wins at 6:23. * 1/2 Seemed rushed, and nothing really that special happened.

-The Hurricane & Jon Heidenreich v. The Emerald and Rosey

Heidenreich and Rosey start off and they lock up immediately, Heidenreich wins the test of strength and sends Rosey into a turnbuckle. Heidenreich goes with a few shoulders into the torso of Rosey and then steps back and does an aeroplane motion as he charges in and splashes Rosey. JR calls this the Heidenjet as Heidenreich gets the early tag to The Hurricane. The Hurricane goes mad on Rosey and sends a few smacks into Rosey's mouth before doing his taunt and pushing him headfirst out of the ring. The Emerald then charges in and sends a massive clothesline that nearly takes The Hurricane's head off. The referee sends The Emerald out of the ring, allowing Rosey to choke The Hurricane in the ropes. Heidenreich gets into the ring and grabs Rosey over the top of the ropes and heaves him into the ring (somehow) that's a big lift. The Hurricane makes a cover for the two count. He gets Rosey to his feet and gets the tag to Heidenreich, who comes in and gets his big foot straight into the mouth of Rosey. 1...2...Kick out, and Heidenreich gets his opponent to his feet. Rosey is sent to the ropes and shoulder blocked rather sloppily to the ground. Hurricane tagged in, but as he comes in, he is then backdropped by Rosey. Tag to the Emerald who comes in. The Emerald puts his hands up in a boxing style, and the Hurricane charges but The Emerald puts his hands out front of him, signalling The Hurricane to stop. The Hurricane clearly asks 'Whatsupwitdat?' and The Emerald does The Hurricane's taunt, and then walks back laughing to the boos from the crowd. The Hurricane then flaws The Emerald, and then does THE REAL Hurritaunt. Crowd goes nuts, but The Emerald trips the Hurricane to the ground and then quickly slides in and locks in a Side headlock. The crowd claps for The Hurricane to regain his strength, but he cops and elbow to the head for his troubles. Tag to Rosey who drags The Hurricane to his corner. Rosey lays into him with some punches, and the referee intervenes, turning his back to The Emerald. The Emerald uses the rope on the tag corner, and wraps it around Hurricane's neck, forcing the ref to turn to him. Emerald denies everything, looking behind him and asking 'who me?' Rosey then gets involved, and then gets in a couple of shoulders to his ribs before tagging in The Emerald. Emerald then grabs Hurricane by the throat and throws him by it, cover for the two count. The Emerald continues to attack Hurricane, sending him into submission. He hits a leg drop, cover for the two. He tags in Rosey and locks in a headlock. This stays for a while and the crowd claps and claps and claps. On the third arm rise, his arm stays up, and he gets an elbow in on Rosey, but then gets a knee in the stomach for his troubles. Rosey sends The Hurricane to the ropes, and as he bounces back, Rosey ducks down but gets kicked in the face. Hurricane bounces off the ropes and hits a flying clothesline. Hurricane crawls his way to Heidenreich who comes in on fire for the newly tagged Emerald. Clothesline for him, and then another, and Rosey also cops one for his troubles. Heidenreich tosses Rosey out of the ring, but then cops a neckbraker from behind by The Emerald. Emerald sends Heidenreich to a corner, who gets tagged in by The Hurricane. Hurricane flies off the top rope, and hits a clothesline on The Emerald, and leans over to attack Rosey, but cops a punch from Rosey. The Hurricane stumbles back and falls straight onto the head of The Emerald. Emerald rolls back and hits an Emerald Fusion for the win at 11:12. ** 1/4 Some nice fun with the gimmicks. Replays then show Rosey's punch that KOed The Hurricane onto The Emerald's back involved brass knuckles, and Heidenreich and Hurricane give their opponents the evils as we go to the announcers.

-The Dudley Boys © v. La Resistance

World Tag Team Title Match. Grenier and D-Von begin and D-Von immediately shoulder charges Grenier into the ground. D-Von goes to Grenier's legs, and lifts him up and slams him back onto his knee. He is lifted up and sent to the ropes, only to be clotheslined to the ground. Bubba tagged in. He sends Grenier to the ropes, and ducks for a backdrop, but gets kicked in the face. Grenier tags in Dupree. Rene then taunts Bubba a bit, before elbowing him in the back of the head. Cover for the two count. Bubba gets picked up to his feet and cops a forearm to the face, and then is sent to the ropes. Dupree goes for a clothesline, but Bubba ducks, and as he bounces back he gets two punches in, and then does that rolling arm thing and the 'suck it' taunts and gives him an elbow to the forehead. Bubba then scoop slams Dupree into the mat and tags in D-Von. D-Von comes in, only to be tripped up by Dupree, who then quickly tags in Grenier. Grenier comes in and gets D-Von to his feet. A few punches send D-Von into retreat and into the corner. Dupree gives some shoulder charges to the ribs of D-Von, before setting him up on top of the turnbuckle. Grenier follows him up to, but Bubba runs up to him and pushes Grenier off and onto the outside! Crowd goes nuts here, as that is a pretty big fall. Dupree runs into the ring, but Bubba elbows him as D-Von goes outside and rolls Grenier into the ring. Cover for the two count. Grenier tries to slide his way to Dupree, but D-Von drags him back and tags in Bubba Dudley. Bubba comes in 'all gunz-a-blazing' (Thankyou Mr Ross) and he clotheslines Dupree with a nice looking one that nearly takes his head off. Grenier tries to charge into the ring, but completely misses Bubba Ray and hits a rising Dupree. Bubba then delivers a Bubba Cutter to a stunned Grenier. D-Von is tagged in. D-Von grabs Dupree by both legs and tries to catapult him into a corner, only to have the referee in front of it. The ref crashes to the ground, and then he rolls out of the ring. As Dupree rolls to the outside, Bubba and D-Von are all alone in the middle of the ring. 'D-VON...GET THE TABLES!' Bubba calls, and D-Von does just that. The table gets set up and Grenier stumbles to his feet, but Dupree crawls into the ring. D-Von waits for Grenier to stumble his way, but as he waits Dupree grabs Bubba by the head and throws him over the top rope. D-Von lifts Grenier up, waiting for Bubba to complete the 3D, but Dupree pushes D-Von in the back, unfortunately sending Grenier catapulting out of the ring again. D-Von tries to charge straight at Dupree, but Dupree grabs him in the stomach, lifts him up in the spinebuster position, and turns around, giving a Spinebuster through the table! JR calls this the Tasting Plate. Dupree clears all the pieces out of the ring, as the referee begins to stir on the outside. The ref rolls into the ring and Dupree hits D-Von with a Paris Valley Driver (Death Valley Driver) for the win at 10:22. *** 1/2 Very good match. Lots of nice spots, and minimal Grenier! New tag team champs as well, the Dudleys were getting stale anyway.

-Shawn Michaels & Chris Jericho v. Kane & Viscera

If Kane's team wins, he faces the World Champion. If HBK's team wins, he gets a match of his choice one on one with Kane. Kane and Jericho start in the ring, and Kane immediately pushes Jericho straight into the crowd and backs him into a corner. He picks him up by his hair and delivers a stiff uppercut to the chin. He stares at Michaels for a bit, before getting Y2J to his feet and scoop slamming him to the ground. Kane rolls his head around and tags in Big Vis. In he comes and clubs Jericho to the ground and sprawling him on the mat. Cover for a two count. Vis then moves back and 'jogs' to the ropes, bounces off and rams straight into a groggy Jericho. Jericho is sent stumbling back into the ropes, and bounces back and is backdropped back over Vis. Vis tags back in Kane who already taunts for a chokeslam. Jericho stumbles around, but before Kane can grab him, he gouges him in the eyes. Jericho goes to tag in Michaels, but Kane grabs his hair and pulls him to the ground. Kane laughs at Michaels as he attacks Jericho's face with a boot. Cover for a two count. Kane tags Viscera back in who immediately puts a foot straight into Jericho's face, and he falls down like a bag of shit. Viscera lifts Jericho to his feet, and then he puts him over his head. He walks over to Jericho and trash talks him a bit, before dropping Jericho behind him, and then pushing Michaels off the apron. Crowd give him an angry reception, as Vis looks at his evil best. Jericho gets a cheap shot from behind, but barely moves Viscera who turns around 'slowly and methodically.' Big words Mr Ross! Jericho goes for another punch, but Vis shoves him straight into a corner. Viscera then walks back and charges at Jericho, splashing him and nearly breaking him in half. Jericho stumbles forward for a bit, before slumping back into the turnbuckle. Viscera tries to charge at Jericho again, but cops a boot in the face. Jericho heads to the top rope and hits a diving splash on Viscera. Both men are down on the mat, and the crowd claps at Jericho crawls to Michaels. Viscera gets the tag to Kane, and then Jericho gets the hot tag! Michaels comes in on fire and knocks down Kane straight to the mat immediately. Kane then gets up and cops another clothesline. Viscera goes to hit Michaels, but is tossed head first to the outside. Michaels then tunes up, and goes for the SCM, but Kane grabs him by the throat and throws him into the turnbuckle. Kane charges in with a turnbuckle clothesline, and Michaels falls straight to ground. Kane tags Viscera who has managed to get up on to the apron. Vis steps over the top rope and clobbers Michaels with a clothesline. Viscera does his big angry taunt, and then lifts Michaels up over his head, prances around a bit and drops him so he bounces onto his back. He then taunts the crowd...SIGNALLING THE BIG SPLASH! He 'runs' back, knocks YSJ off the apron and comes 'running' back, goes for the Big Splash, but Michaels moves! Viscera makes a huge noise in landing and rolls over holding his torso. He slowly gets to his feet, as does Michaels and goes for a sloppy clothesline, Michaels ducks, he misses, Sweet Chin Music for the win at 9:22. * 1/2 Too much Viscera.

-Molly Holly © v. Trish Stratus v. Ivory

Women's Title Match. All three stare each other down for half a minute to begin with. I'm not too sure what Ivory is meant to be in this match, the heel or the face, but anyway, she and Molly immediately attack Trish with a double clothesline. Molly gets Trish to her feet, and Ivory immediately then dropkicks Trish's knees, sending her back down to the mat. Cover by Ivory, but Molly pulls her off and now it is on. Ivory is sent to the corner, and Molly charges at her, kneeing her in the stomach. Ivory falls to her knees, and as Molly tuns, Trish pounces and elbows her in the jaw. Trish puts Molly to the ground with a weak looking scoop slam and covers her for a two count. Ivory runs at both who are on the ground and just...jumps on them. Messy. Ivory lifts Trish to her feet, but then gets thrown to the outside and Trish and Molly begin to brawl. JR calls this an 'intense match' but really it isn't. King said it right, 'At least I get to see some puppies.' Molly gets a punch into Trish's mouth, and sends her into the corner. Molly then puts Trish on the top rope, and follows her up. Trish then pushes Molly off, and lands an elbow drop on her. Cover for the two count. Both girls struggle to their feet and then stare at each other in the middle of the ring. Trish goes for a punch, but Molly blocks it, and sends Trish head first out of the ring. Molly leans over the ropes and trash talks to Trish, when Ivory slides in, rolls Molly up for the win at 5:23. 3/4 * New women's champ. Waste of time. Ending rushed.

-Rob Van Dam © v. Mark Henry

WWE Intercontinental Title Match. The two immediately walk up to each other and begin brawling straight away, Van Dam gets the first shot as he hits a standing dropkick on Henry, sending him backward into the ropes. Van Dam then whips him to the other ropes, jumps over the top of Henry and hits a side dropkick. Cover for an early one count as Van Dam gets flung back a meter or so. Henry gets to his feet slowly, and catches Van Dam midair as he tries to sidekick him, but the other leg catches him in the face and Henry is sent back into the ropes. Van Dam charges at Henry, but is backdropped over the ropes, but he lands on the apron. Without looking at him, Henry moves forward taunting, but he turns around and Van Dam flies off the ropes and lands on Henry with his arse. Cover for two. No real offence from Henry yet and we are already three or four minutes into the match. Van Dam goes to get Henry to his feet, but is immediately pushed straight to the turnbuckle. Henry hits the BIG SLAP, Van Dam reels holding his chest. Henry then charges and hits a big splash in the corner, and Van Dam is crushed and falls straight to ground. Cover for a two count. Henry grabs him by the hair, and throws his head back to the mat, he then runs back a bit, bounces off the ropes and goes for an elbow drop, but Van Dam moves. Henry stumbles to his feet and is tripped from behind, and he is covered for a two count. Van Dam waits for Henry to rise, and then dropkicks him to the mat. Crowd buzzes, as Van Dam signals for the Frog Splash. He leaps onto the turnbuckle, and jumps off, but Henry moves and Van Dam bounces all over holding his ribs. Henry gets to his feet and coathangers Van Dam to the mat. Van Dam rises again, but is pushed straight into the turnbuckle. Henry puts him on the top rope, and then throws him to the outside by his neck. Henry steps over the ropes, and jumps to the ground, he then clubs a groggy Van Dam, who retreats to the barricade. Henry smacks Van Dam's head into the barricade, and then lifts him over his head. JR pleads for him not to drop him, but he does, and Van Dam falls to the ground holding his chin. Henry rolls in and out of the ring to break the count, and heads over to Van Dam who is lying near the steps. Henry comes over and puts the boots into him, before getting him to his feet. Van Dam tries to punch back, but gets slammed into the post, and then rested there. Henry moves back, and then charges forward, but it tripped face first into the 'steel' steps. Van Dam taunts to the crowd, and then gets onto the top rope, waiting for Henry. Henry stumbles to his feet, but as Van Dam leaps, he trips off the turnbuckle, and falls face first into the ground. Crowd laugh, but it takes away from the match. Henry rolls Van Dam into the ring, and he looks totally out of it after that fall. Henry sends Van Dam to the ropes, and goes to back drop him, but Van Dam jumps over him. bounces back and dropkicks Henry's legs. Van Dam then bounces off the ropes again, and goes for a cross body, but is caught midair. Henry hits the World's Strongest Slam for the win at 9:18. ** Blown spots, but a solid HENRY match. He is the new champion by the way, meaning three titles have changed hands so far.

-Triple H © v. Goldberg

Cage Match. World Heavyweight Title Match. JR reminds us that all three titles have changed hands tonight, and will Goldberg make it a clean sweep? We wait to find out. The two stare each other down in the middle of the ring as the cage is being locked. The referee shakes the chains, and we are reminded that the only way to win is to escape the cage. No pin, no submission. They lock up immediately, and Triple H pushes Goldberg into the ropes. He sends Goldberg to the other ropes, who comes back and is clotheslined to the ground. Triple H looks around the ring for a bit, before grasping the cage and shaking it a bit. Goldberg attacks him from behind, and then slams his head into the cage before belly to belly suplexing him to the mat. Goldberg leans on his knees and spinebusters Triple H to the ground very early on. Triple H rolls around in pain, and Goldberg takes a leg of Triple H. He drags him over to the ropes, and puts a leg on the bottom rope. He bounces off the ropes and then leg drops onto the raised leg of Triple H. King comments on how tactically spot on this is. Goldberg again does the exact same thing, and leg drops onto Triple H's leg. Triple H grimaces in pain, and hobbles to his feet. He gets a shot into Goldberg's eye, but Goldberg just pushes Triple H back to the ground. Goldberg begins to climb the cage, but Triple H hobbles over to him, and grabs a leg, pulling Goldberg to the ground. He can walk a little more freely now, and he grabs Goldberg's head and starts raking it against the cage, causing Goldberg to shout loudly. No blood yet. Triple H bounces off the ropes and comes in with a lofted knee which nails Goldberg in the ribs. Goldberg is on a knee, and Triple H locks in a headlock. Goldberg struggles around for a minute, but slowly passes out. One arm lift, falls. Two arm lift, falls. Three arm lift, falls...wait no Goldberg rises and from the clapping of a very uninspired crowd, he gets to his feet. Three elbows and he is out at the seven minute mark (that headlock lasted two minutes!). Goldberg grabs Triple H by the hair, and tosses him into the 'steel cage.' Goldberg begins to climb, but Triple H climbs up after him, both are half way up, before Goldberg goes suicidal and throws himself at Triple H, and lands underneath him! Goldberg looks out, and Triple H lifts him to his feet. Goldberg falls back down into a heap, and Triple H just laughs. He begins to scale the cage, but Goldberg walks (very groggily, looks legit hurt) and shakes the cage, sending Triple H to ground. Goldberg gets Triple H to his feet and goes for a very lazy punch, 3H ducks and hits a pedigree! Goldberg flops to the ground, and Triple H scale the cage and stands on the top of it. He taunts the crowd, climbs down and wins it at 9:23. * Triple H retains. Looked to be a good match, but the injury to Goldberg ruined the whole thing, and the finish became shit. Disappointing end to a disappointing PPV.

-The V Word - No good. Bad matches. Best match by far was the Dudleys/La Resistance, but Henry is the new IC Champ, which puts a downer on the whole day. Main event had loads of potential, but unfortunately it wasn't to be, and we will see how Goldberg is faring as soon as possible.
