Best:

1. The Girl Next Door

2. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

3. Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story

4. Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

5. Team America: World Police

6. Club Dread

7. The Incredibles

8. Spider-Man 2

9. The Bourne Supremacy

10. Shrek 2

Disappointing:

1. Collateral- This movie was horrible. I had heard such good things about it and I went in expecting a half decent movie. Instead I got a bunch of crap and almost fell asleep.

2. Mr. 3000- I was hoping it would be at least a little better than it was, but I can say that I did laugh very hard. Then again I was laughing at the plot holes and awfulness of the movie.

Next Year's Film: Star Wars III

Best DVD Package: Star Wars Collection... I guess...

I've not seen enough good films to warrant 10 (some films like Eternal Sunshine I never got round to seeing). In fact, just about every film I saw this year was disapointing. This thread also made me realise how little films I have actually seen this year.......

1. Kill Bill 2

2. Spider-man 2

3. Shrek 2

4. The Incredibles

5. Starsky and Hutch (this is here by default. It was only above average at best)

Dispaointing: Where to start? I could do 10 for this. Van Helsing? That was a chance missed right there. Dodgeball or Shaun of the Dead? Neither were funny in the slightest.

But I'm going for 'The Butterfly Effect'. A good idea, so horrendously executed.

Best DVD package:

Return of the King SE

Next Years Film

Batman Begins

I havent seen many movies this year, i wanted to see Eternal Sunshine, but i missed it in the theatres, so yeah, my list reflects my limited movie time this year.

BEST:

1. Tais-Toi (funniest movie i have seen in recent memory, Jean Reno!)

2. Hero

3. Shaun of the Dead

4. Starsky and Hutch

5. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

6. Team America: World Police

7. Shrek 2

8.The Terminal

9. The Ladykillers

10. Hellboy

DISAPPOINTING:

-Kill Bill Vol 2: I found this so disappointing, boring and repetitive, it doesnt even come close to the first movie.

-Passion of the Christ, not nearly as 'shocking' as i thought it was going to be, also pretty boring.

-National Treasure- im not sure if disappointed is the right word, since i didnt have very high hopes coming into this movie, but sure did it fall way below those.

NEXT YEAR'S FILM:

The star wars one

BEST DVD PACKAGE:

*shrugs*

It might have counted if it was released worldwide this year. But this says EWB's Top Films of 2004, and not everyone comes from the States. Besides, it's only dubbed.

You know better than to fight it davinator, you know that only the United States count whenever it comes to... anything. :P Anyways, here's my list:

AS's Top Seven of 2004

1. Walking Tall (I liked it, so sue me)

2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

3. Shrek 2

4. The Passion of the Christ

5. Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story

6. Elf (in theatres last year I know, but it was late)

7. Napoleon Dynamite

As you can see, i'm not a very big movie goer, but I know what I like.
