Darkness... it's all around us, and it's in every one of us. Even the most noble of heroes have an inner darkness. To truly become the best one can be, you must embrace this.

Animosity... it fuels the hatred between competitors. Without this, there would have been no classic feuds; no Flair/Steamboat...no Sandman/Raven.

Respect... even with the hatred that comes along with professional wrestling is the respect. Good feuds start and end with hatred...classic feuds start with hatred, and end with respect.

Kinship... bonds are formed through alliances, wars and mutual respect.

Pro Wrestling DARK is a new promotion opening up in the California area. DARK will bring about the best in professional wrestling action, delivering amazingly talented performers and top of the line booking. The fans will not be treated as lesser than the company, as we will not be lying to you about anything.

Wrestling is, first and foremost, a sport...and we at DARK will be treating it as such with a Rankings system for each title based on Win/Loss records.

Names already signed on to appear with the promotion include California regulars Adam Pearce, Super Dragon, Hook Bomberry, The Havana Pitbulls and Babbi Slymm... as well as Independent standouts Bryan Danielson, Christopher Daniels and Jack Evans... and the international legend, Vampiro.

Check back for the full card for our debut show on Friday January 21, 2005!

Pro Wrestling DARK presents...

DARK Expo '05

-DARK kicks off its' inaugural show with a main event that is sure to make even the most veteran of fans cream their pants in anticipation, as "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels will go one on one with a man that he has never before faced inside the squared circle...the legend...El Canadian Vampyre Casanova...the Goth-Punk Prince himself, Vampiro.

-In tag team action, the "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson will be teaming up with former WWE Cruiserweight Champion James Gibson to take on the team of Super Dragon and Samoa Joe. Danielson and Joe have a long history of amazing matches, and the inclusion of Gibson and the California local bad ass Super Dragon should only up the quality of those spectacular bouts.

-For the first time since being given the gift of a lifetime by his childhood hero, Jack Evans will return to California wearing the mask of Blitzkrieg, as he goes up against SoCal standout, and one half of the Aerial Express, Scorpio Sky.

-Egos will clash in the DARK when The Coolest Guy in the World goes head to head with The Rock Superstar on 1/21. Both Kazarian and Kaos will be looking for a win here at the first ever DARK event.

-To add to the excitement of our first show, each match has a special stipulation added to it. In every bout on this card, the man that acquires the pinfall or submission will earn his way into a nine man tournament to crown the first ever Western Heavyweight Champion, as recognized by Pro Wrestling DARK.

Breaking News

-World Wrestling Entertainment dug into their pockets again today as they inked a deal with an NWATNA superstar and former NWA World Tag Team Champion. The superstar in question is "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, who was set for two big matches nearing the end of this month, as he was scheduled for Pro-Pain Pro Wrestling in their main event against AJ Styles and Chris Sabin, and also scheduled for another main event in the debuting Pro Wrestling DARK promotion, where he would have faced off for the very first time against Vampiro.

Daniels will report to Ohio Valley Wrestling on the 15th of January, where he will undergo a two-month evaluation period, where he is expected to challenge OVW Champion Elijah Burke for the title at the promotion's upcoming Six Flags show in February.

Pro Wrestling DARK Announcement

-Earlier this week, we in the offices of Pro Wrestling DARK were informed by Christopher Daniels that he would not be able to honor his commitment to the company on January 21st at DARK Expo '05. Daniels was very apologetic, and nothing less than professional about the situation. We at DARK wish him the best of luck with World Wrestling Entertainment.

In an even classier move, Chris went leaps and bounds above what he needed to do, and through Vince McMahon, helped us to come up with a replacement for his match against Vampiro. So now, instead of seeing Vampiro take on Christopher Daniels at DARK Expo '05, the fans that attend our debut show will be treated to a very special match, as Vampiro will go one on one, in what is still a "First Time Ever" match-up, against former WCW Cruiserweight and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Ultimo Dragon.

OOC: Just so you guys know, any predictions that come in after now do not need to include the Main Event match. It will just be the other eight bouts that count towards the contest. Also, just so you know... Tommy Williams is "Funky" Billy Kim, and Chad Malenko is actually Chad Collyer. Malenko is just the name he's been using at the Inoki Dojo.

Pro Wrestling DARK:

DARK Expo '05 - January 21

from the National Guard Armory

in Corona, California

-The show began as fans were still entering the building. Two former Revolution Pro regulars went toe to toe as Phoenix Star and Zokre both battled for a chance to be a Champion; something that neither man has been able to do up to this point in their careers. Both men gave it their all, but in the end, it turned out that it just wasn't Zokre's time, as he fell victim to a Springboard 450 Splash from Star for the three count.

-The doors were closed shortly after the opening bout, and the night was under way, as DARK Owner AJ Grinnelli made his way to the ring. Grinnelli introduced himself, and spoke about the talent that he has assembled for what he hopes will become the largest promotion based out of California ever. Grinnelli said that next month's show, entitled "Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses" will feature three Three Way Dances, comprised of the nine men who score a pinfall or submission on tonight's show...and then the winners of those three matches will face off in a Round Robin tournament in March to crown DARK's first recognized champion, the West Coast Heavyweight Champion.

-Up next was the six man tag team match, pitting the team of Babbi Slymm, "Tough Enough" Kenny King and The Human Tornado against "Magnetic" Chris Bosh, Eric Matlock and Supa Badd. Before the match started, Bosh got on the microphone and explained the change of nicknames...saying that everyone knows that he's photogenic by now, because he sees fans just snapping pictures away at evwery chance they get. Bosh then said that he changed his nickname to Magnetic, because no matter how much you hate him, you just need to see him. The match got under way with an exchange of Arm Drags from all six men, that ended only when Badd couldn't get Slymm up for one, and ended up on the receiving end of a Short Arm Lariat from the much bigger man. Bosh and Supa Badd worked oevr Kenny King for awhile, slapping him around and yelling about how Al Snow wasn't there to protect him. King blocked a Double Suplex attempt, kicked Bosh in the gut, and hit Supa Badd with a Superkick, which allowed him to tag out to the Human Tornado. Tornado came in and went right after his arch-nemesis, Supa Badd. The two men exchanged Knife Edged Chops, and then Tornado looked ready to hit the Tornado DDT, but Chris Bosh attacked him from behind, sending him to the outside of the ring. Badd and Tornado fought into the crowd, and eventually managed to disappear from sight, leaving Bosh and Matlock against Slymm and King. Matlock took King to the mat, and almost had the match won with an STF, but Bosh, wanting the title shot, broke up the move, and then tossed Matlock to the outside, only to run into Babbi Slymm and the Numba One Stunna! Slymm covered Bosh and picked up the win thanks to Bosh's arrogance and selfishness.

-Adam Pearce came out to a chorus of boos from the fans, but the Scrap Daddy paid them no attention, as he wet about his business. His opponent, Hook Bomberry, came out to the ring looking scared out of his mind, but slid underneath the ropes and made the first move, attacking Pearce before the bell even rang. Bomberrylooked like he was going to be alright, applying a Cross Armbreaker to Pearce, but the much larger man fought out of the move, and just put the beat down on Bomberry, not even allowing him to regain his balance or composure. Pearce mercifully ended the match just short of five minutes into it, as he pulled Hook up, and then drove his ehad into the mat with the Old School Piledriver for the victory.

-Before the next match started, Frankie Kazarian and Kaos had a verbal exchange on the microphone, with Kazarian seemingly putting over Kaos' accomplishments in the now dead XPW...until he did a complete 180 and started to make fun of him. Kaos reached for the mic, but Kazarian pulled it away, proclaimed that since he had used that microphone, that it was now the "coolest microphone in the world", and then asked for the bell to be rang as the fans chanted "Cool". The match itself was the best up to this point, as both men put everything they had into winning this bout, in hopes of gaining a spot in the nine man Western Heavyweight Championship tournament. Lots of false finishes here, as Kaos hit a running Blockbuster Neckbreaker for a two count, followed by Kazarian connecting with the Flux Capacitor for a two count of his own. The two men went into an exchange of roll-ups, which ended with Kaos coming out on top in a position to Powerbomb his opponent...but instead, Kaos went for the Falling Star. Kaos was about to hit the move when Frankie flipped over and landed on his feet. Kazarian caught Kaos with a boot to the gut, and then planted him face first with the Wave of the Future, picking up the win out of nowhere.

-Now it was time for the big tag team encounter, pitting the New Japan tandem of Bryan Danielson and James Gibson against SoCal bad boys Super Dragon and Samoa Joe. All four men seemed very evenly matched throughout the bout, as neither team seemed capable of picking up the advantage. Every time one man would start to dominate, there would be a tag from the other team, and the match would end up back at square one. The crowd popped big for every exchange, especially the first oen between Gibson and Joe, which saw Joe hit the Ole Kicks, but also saw Gibson manhandle Joe with a series of various Suplexes, including a Wrist-Clutch Exploder, as well as a Tiger Suplex. The finish of the match saw Samoa Joe choking out Danielson until Gibson broke it up by attacking Joe. Gibson and Joe fought to the outside, and Super Dragon took advantage, coming off the top rope with a Double Foot Stomp to the back of Danielson's head, driving his face hard into the mat. Dragon covered, and picked up the victory while Gibson and Joe were still fighting outside of the ring. After the match, Joe looked infuriated, but shook Dragon's hand, and violently pulled him in, saying something to him before leaving.

-During the intermission, many fans went to the merchandise booths to pick up DVDs, VHS' and T-Shirts from their favorite workers on the card, but those who stayed in their seats were treated to another appearance by AJ Grinnelli, who made an announcement regarding Joey Ryan, who he stated had not showed up at the building. Grinnelli announced that he would have a chat with everyone who is not in the tournament for next month, and will make a decision on a replacement for Ryan in his match against Chad Malenko, which will take place as soon as the intermission is through.

-After the break, with Chad Malenko waiting in the ring, AJ Grinnelli stepped into the aisle and quickly introduced Malenko's new opponent...James Gibson. Malenko took advantage of a bad situation by exploiting the fact that Gibson had already wrestled previously this evening. Malenko worked over Gibson's left knee, setting him up for the Texas Cloverleaf. Gibson reversed an attempt at the Cloverleaf and rolled Malenko up into a Leglock. Gibson kept on the attack, but fell on the defensive again when Malenko applied a Boston Crab. Both men worked on the submissions for the remainder of the bout, but the finish came when Gibson stopped an attempt at the Cloverleaf, and hit the Tiger Driver for the win.

-The next match featured two amazing performers as Scorpio Sky faced off with the man given the mask of Blitzkrieg, Jack Evans. Evans came out wearing Blitzkrieg's mask, and removed it only after the bell rang. Scorpio and Evans shook hands before the bell rang, and that signified what would happen during the rest of the match, as the two men were equally matched. When one man would gain the advantage, it would quickly swing back in favor of the other, and the trend would continue from the starting bell until the final count. The end of the match saw Scorpio miss a 450 Splash, and then get caught with a Springboard Dragonrana from Evans. The fans let out a "Holy Shit" chant, and this reaction pushed Evans to go for more instead of the pin. Evans went up top and tried for the 630, but he took too long, and Scorpio managed to get his knees up. Evans hit the knees hard and crumpled to the mat, and the rest was academic, as Sky didn't have to do anything more than just pin his opponent.

-Spanky came running out from the back with his partner Tommy Williams in tow. The two men shook hands with the fans and Spanky did the best he could to put over the youngster with the fans. Their opponents, the Havana Pitbulls, showed Williams no mercy though, as they attacked him before the bell as Spanky was talking to some young fans. Spanky went back to his partner's aid, but the Pitbulls had already done the damage with a Superkick/German Suplex combo. Spanky fought through the first part of the match on his own, but Williams managed to recover and aid his partner. Spanky and Williams looked prime to pick up the win when Spanky hit the Sliced Bread #2 on Reyes, but the Spankster tagged out to his partner, and then was attacked from behind by Romero. Rocky then went to work on Williams as the ref tried to get him out of the ring. Spanky tried to get in, and that distracted the ref long enough for the Pitbulls to hit the Cuban Execution, and Romero to make the pinfall on Williams. After the match, Spanky went to his partner's side and helped him up as the Pitbulls made their way victoriously to the back.

-The fans erupted as The Misfits' "Kong at the Gates" played over the PA system and the Canadian legend Vampiro made his way out to the ring. Vampiro removed his spiked leather vest and gave it to a fan. Ultimo Dragon, not to be outdone, allowed the entirety of his music, No More Tears by Ozzy Osbourne, to be played through twice in its' entirety as he took photos with fans and even stepped oevr the barricade to pose with a young man in a wheelchair. The match itself was slow and methodical as each man was weary of his opponent. The fans popped for everything that both men did, but the crowd turned on Vampiro when he kicked out of an Asai DDT. The two men exchanged Knife Edged Chops, and Vamp's chest was bleeding after the exchange. Vampiro scored with the Nail in the Coffin out of nowhere, but Dragon kicked out after the one count, shocking Vampiro, and causing the fans to applaud. Vampiro went up to the top rope, and then connected with a Flying Spinning Heel Kick, but Dragon managed to kick out again, this time at two. Vamp signaled again for the Nail, but when he attempted it, Ultimo grabbed his neck and applied the Dragon Sleeper. Vampiro refused to tap out, but Dragon showed why he is considered one of the best, when he flipped Vampiro over his shoulder, into position and then connected with a second Asai DDT...this time scoring the three count.

News and Notes

-The tournament to crown the West Coast Heavyweight Champion will continue as DARK's second event, Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses, will feature three separate Three Way Dance matches to determine the final three competitors in the tournament.

-Spanky has challenged both of the Havana Pitbulls to face him in singles action, and both men have accepted Spanky's challenge. Due to the tournament taking place, Spanky's match against Rocky Romero will take place either in March or April, but the former student of Shawn Michaels won't have to wait that long to face off with the other half of the Pitbulls, as he will take on Ricky Reyes at Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses.

-After fighting out of the building at DARK Expo, the Human Tornado and Supa Badd have been scheduled for Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses to face off one on one in the middle of the ring.

-Chad Malenko was furious at his loss to James Gibson last month, and has placed blame on Joey Ryan, who missed the show for unknown reasons. This month, Malenko will get a chance at revenge when he teams with the debuting Ring of Honor World Champion, Austin Aries, to face Ryan and his X-Foundation partner Scott Lost.

Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses

Friday February 18

from the Knights of Columbus Hall

in Covina, California

-Pro Wrestling DARK's second show, titled Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses, kicked off with an intense Four Way Warfare match, that saw Eric Matlock try to gain some semblance of revenge on the "Magnetic" Chris Bosh, who had cost him his shot at the West Coast Heavyweight Title last month in their six man tag team match. At one point in the match, Matlock had Bosh in an STF variation, but Zokre caught him in the face with a running Baseball Slide Dropkick. Kenny King almost won the match with a Flying Crossbody off the top rope on Zokre, but he kicked out at two. The end of the match came about when Chris Bosh applied the Photo Op to Matlock after playing with him a bit first, and forced the submission.

-Austin Aries came out sporting the ROH World Championship around his waist, having won the prestigious title from Samoa Joe less than two months ago. Aries grabbed a microphone and said that as ROH Champion, his match should be main eventing the card, and then claimed it was a travesty that he was forced to wrestle on the second match. The X Foundation came out and Joey Ryan got into Aries' face, telling him that he was lucky to be wrestling on the card at all. Ryan was really starting to get the fans behind him, but Aries pie-faced him, which led to the Technical Wizard taking the Wrestling Machine down hard to the mat. The bell rang to signify the beginning of the match, but Ryan and Aries had already begun exchanging holds, with the ROH Champion coming out on top, and in position to apply the Rings of Saturn, but Ryan struggled out of the hold and the two men got back up to a vertical base. The fans applauded the exchange, but Aries was quick to tag out to Chad Malenko, who still blamed Ryan for his loss to James Gibson last month. Malenko's anger was shown plenty during the bout, as he was vicious and on-target with everything he hit, but the team work of the X Foundation really slowed down the momentum of Malenko & Aries. Scott Lost hit Malenko with a Flying Rocker Dropper from the top rope, but that wasn't enough to put him away. Joey Ryan tried for the Duff Drop on Aries, but the Wrestling Machine shoved him off the top rope. At that same time, Malenko had Lost in the Texas Cloverleaf, but was not the legal man. Aries yelled something at his partner, and Malenko went lax on the hold a bit, allowing Aries room to connect with a beautiful 450 Splash to the back and neck of Scott Lost, which proved to be more than enough to put him away for the three count.

-Next up was Spanky's revenge on the Havana Pitbulls, part one. Spanky went one on one with Ricky Reyes in a match that saw both men connect with a blow that busted their opponent open. Reyes hit a vicious Tiger Suplex for a two count, but Spanky managed to rebound from the devastating maneuver and pick up the victory with the Sliced Bread #2. After the match, Spanky grabbed a mic and declared that next month, or the month after, he would get his hands on Rocky Romero.

-The first of the three WCH Championship tournament matches began with Babbi Slymm and Adam Pearce brawling in the ring before Super Dragon even got there. When the SoCal Badass finally got to the ring, whoopin's were handed out as he took it hard to both men, and managed to Curb Stomp them both at separate points. Slymm tried for the Numba One Stunna on Pearce, but Scrap Iron reversed it and kicked him in the gut, setting up for the Old School Piledriver, but Super Dragon caught Pearce in the face with a Spinning Kick that caused Pearce's nose to start bleeding. All three of the men kept going back and forth until Dragon finally caught Pearce with the Psycho Driver for the win.

-The Human Tornado and Supa Badd continued their battle from DARK Expo by brawling into the ring through the crowd. Badd grabbed a chair from a fan, but the fan grabbed it back, and then he turned into a beer to the face from Tornado, who then ran to the ring and waited for Badd to follow. The match itself didn't last long, as Badd reversed a Tornado DDT attempt, hit a low blow, and then rolled up his opponent for the win. But after the match, as Supa Badd celebrated the victory, he was attacked from behind by The Tornado, who shoved him into the turnbuckle, and then ran away, leaving the fans wondering what the hell just happened.

-With both Rocky Romero and Phoenix Star waiting in the ring, Ozzy Osbourne's "No More Tears" hit over the PA, and the fans erupted as Ultimo Dragon made his way out to the ring. Dragon posed for several of the fans on the way down to the ring, and when in the ring, shook the hands of his opponents; both of whom more than graciously accepted the hand of the legend. The match saw some really good three way action, with Phoenix Star surprisingly holding his own against his opponents. Star almost even won the match with a Springboard Swanton Bomb onto Romero, but the Pitbull kicked out just before the count of three. Romero locked in the Romero Special on Star, and it looked like he was going to give up, but Ultimo broke that up with a massive kick to the face of Rocky. Dragon pulled Phoenix up to his feet, and then delivered the Asai DDT to Phoenix Star, while simultaneously landing a Legdrop across the neck of Romero. Dragon covered Star and picked up the win.

-"The Rock Superstar" Kaos made his way out to the ring and ripped into the fans for turning their backs on him last month. Kaos then laid claim to having made California an indy hotspot, and said that if it hadn't been for him, the Cali scene wouldn't have ever taken off the way it did, and then he challenged anyone in the back to come out and prove him wrong. The lights in the building went out and smoke came from the entrance way as Kong at the Gates by the Misfits began to play, and the fans started a small "You're Dead" chant as Vampiro slowly made his way to the ring. Kaos high-tailed it into the crowd, still holding onto his mic. Vampiro told Kaos that if he wanted someone to show him that he is nothing...that Vampiro would do it, right there! But Kaos refused to fight him, and only after a few minutes of egging on by the fans, would Kaos eventually accept a match against Vampiro, next month.

-After everyone had settled down, we returned to in-ring action as Samoa Joe went one on one with Hook Bomberry. The match started out with Joe just toying with his opponent, until Bomberry managed to snag an arm and apply a Cross Armbreaker. Joe scrambled to break the hold, and after managing to do that, he became infuriated. Samoa Joe took it hard to Bomberry, just plastering him with stiff shots from every angle. Hook fell to the mat to try and protect himself, but Joe wouldn't stop the attack. Bomberry managed to get back up to his feet, and after catching Joe unexpectedly with a right Forearm shot, tried for a Spear, only to have Joe counter it with the Triangle Choke. Joe took the move to the mat, and applied more pressure, forcing Hook to tap out. After the match, Joe got up, and shook the hand of his unconscious opponent.

-The Scorpions' song "Alien Nation" hit, and Scorpio Sky made his way out to the ring, coming into the match as the underdog, as he would be taking on two much more established superstars; speaking of which, the most established of the two was out next, as former WWE and WCW Cruiserweight Champion James Gibson made his way out to the ring to the heavy sounds of Devildriver's first single "I Could Care Less". Gibson and Sky then waited as Joe Esposito's "You're the Best Around" hit over the PA system, and the Coolest Guy in the World came out to join them in the ring. Kazarian and Gibson started the match with an exchange of Arm Drags, but Scorpio Sky quickly inserted himself by joining in, and we had a three way Arm Drag contest. The men ended in a standoff and the fans applauded. Each man hit a signature move on each of his two opponents at one point or another in the match, with Scorpio hitting the Final Answer on Gibson, and the VHS on Frankie; Gibson hitting the Tiger Driver on Kazarian, and applying the Trailer Hitch to Sky; and Kazarian hitting the Flux Capacitor on Scorpio, and the Wave of the Future on Gibson... but no one could pick up the three count. Scorpio rolled up Gibson with a bridge, but Kazarian came off the top rope with a Springboard Legdrop onto Sky, which in turn wrenched the neck of Gibson, who had been rolled up. As Gibson writhed on the mat, Frankie pinned Sky for the win. After the match, Gibson shook Kazarian's hand, wished him luck next month, but then finished by saying that Frankie didn't beat him...he beat Scorpio.

News and Notes

-The West Coast Heavyweight Title will be decided this month as we make our return to Corona. The Championship will be decided in what we have named the Triangle of Terror. The concept will see Ultimo Dragon, Frankie Kazarian and Super Dragon battle first in a Three Way Dance, where the man who gets pinned is eliminated. Then, if that's not exciting enough, we've also added one final stipulation to this Decision Match, as the two remaining men will have to face off in a Best of Three Falls match-up to decide the first ever WCH Champion.

-Tristin Hayze, a little known East Coast Independent worker, will be debuting this month in DARK, in hopes of making a mark on the better of the two coasts, but in order to do so, he'll have to go through the challenge of Samoa Joe.

-After their initial confrontation last month at Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses, The Rock Superstar will go one on one with Vampiro in the middle of the ring. You can bet that both men will be going all out to pick up the win, as the WCH Title rankings will begin with this show, and a win in a match against an opponent of either man's calibur would definately put the winner in contention for a title shot.

-Rocky Romero has been suspended for one show after his actions backstage at last month's event. Romero attacked Spanky backstage, and sent the superstar to the hospital with lacerations on his forehead and neck. Rumor has it, however, that Romero was not alone during the attack, and Spanky has challenged whomever it was that accompanied Romero with the attack to face him this month in Corona.

-Bryan Danielson will return to DARK this month as he teams with New Japan partner James Gibson to face the man that almost pinned him in the main event at BH&BK, Scorpio Sky, and his partner, the debuting Quicksilver.

Previously: Frankie began his tenure in DARK by picking up a win over "The Rock Superstar" Kaos to earn a spot in the West Coast Heavyweight Title tournament. In the first round of the tournament, and the main event of Black Hearts and Bleeding Kisses, Frankie pinned Scorpio Sky in a match that also involved James Gibson.

In the Future: Frankie is looking ahead now to the Triangle of Terror, where he will be faced with both Super and Ultimo Dragon in his final test to become the WCH Champion. If Kazarian can manage to defeat both of his opponents in the Triangle of Terror, he will become a marked man, and will have a series of tough bouts ahead of him.
