Dammit, now I wish I had picked up 24 season 1 on DVD today instead of Family Guy/Roswell. I actually do vaguely remember a meeting with CTU including someone Jack's superior, I guess it was Walsh. Was he an older guy?

Yes, now I remember. They were in some sort of building and it got shot up. The dude got hit and Jack escaped. Hopefully next season they'll get a character like that as head of CTU, because they're nothing special and allow Jack Bauer to be the real main character.

Thats wrong, season one started of with someone elth as head of CTU (Richard Walsh played by Michael O'Neill), he got shot in the second episode, than jack tock over and after that (in season one) came Mason.

You can see walsh doing his job as head of CTU about 12:30 (episode time, not 24 world real time) in the first episode.

Season 2 had Mason in the beginning and later Alberta Green took over i think.

Indeed, if ya don't wanna shell out the cash to buy the seasons you can rent em at probably any video store...each disc in the set is a seperate rental but ya can check out one and see if ya like it then go from there.

I thought this season's finale was pretty anti-climatic. There were some really stupid things, like the whole deal with Gael's wife and Saunders. The school should've been empty and locked up. Didn't the president tell everyone to stay home? After all that has gone down over the last 24 hours, why would they call Jack back to interrogate a prisoner? The crisis has been handled. Wouldn't somebody that has slept do a better job? The bit with which wire to cut was one of the oldest cliches I can remember. Those are just the problems that I can think of off the top of my head.

Unfortunately, this show has never lived up to the quality of season 1. My expectations were set high because of that great season and the next two seasons have left me disappointed.

the finale was great, it was a nice change to the usual....as for the whole which wire to cut thing being a cliche, yeah it is...of course it usualy ends in them cutting the right one with less than a second to go, not with someone getting there hand hacked off...so I think that takes care of the cliche

It was a pretty decent episode. I was hoping for a better ending than Jack crying. :\

Anywho, next season should be filled with new characters galore. No Tony, Sherri, David Palmer (or atleast he won't be president), and Chase-- who heard of a one-armed CTU agent or floor personale guy *shifty*

I agree the finale may have left something to be desired, but I am guessing that is so there can be a fresh start on the next one.

Over all, I think Season 3 ranks just behind Season 1 in terms of goodness.

I dunno, the idea of the Bronson-like emotionless hero Jack Bauer stopping to take in the events of the day and being overwhelmed by them had plenty of shock value for me. It presented an entirely new perspective on the character.

Sherry only was shot in the stomace to make shure they can bring her back wen they want, and sinc she has a lot powerfull frinds she dos not need David as reason to get/be involved.

I could've sworn that at some point they told everyone to stay home. Maybe not when the President shutdown the airports back when Saunders was making demands but after the virus got out. I could be wrong but I thought I remembered this.
