Best British Rock Album EVER!

Damn, you quoted me before I realised that "good" was way too strong of a word to use for the Prophets :P

As for the 'phonics, I wouldn't say I hated their genre..I just find them boring, depressing, and whiny. Just like the MSP, and Travis, and all these crappy bands like Keane and Snow Patrol, that Radio 1 keep whoring to me on the way to uni :(

But I'm mainly just annoyed that shit like Muse are six places above Judas Priest, without whom many Bristish rock bands that came along later might not have existed. Priest saved British rock, and they continually get shafted by these lists :(

Good list minus the Muse shit being there. Stick The Darkness at number ten and just remove Muse and it's a top notch list  :)

Thats obviously a clever and witty joke. Im probably being bitter and slightly drunk here, but the Darkness are far inferior to Muse.

Indie is still rock, stupid.

Powerslave and Piece of Mind absent? WHY?

This week's Kerrang has the full 100 btw.

Not all indie is rock. There's indie rock, but there's indie-pop. Although i've allways thought of Blur as a pop-rock act. Cheerful (in its time) yet still along the lines of pop-rock. I do agree that their early stuff is much better than the recent stuff. And there's no need to call him stupid for such a small thing.

EDIT: Ash's on the list and they're a indie rock band though.

I don't think Blue are Indie-Rock...they are more Indie-Pop, with the occasional rock song. Ash, are the other way around, being an Indie-Rock band who play the occasional poppier song. However, a lot of thier rock songs still have pop hooks, so may sound poppier.

I can't find a link that might have maybe 50 or 100 from this list.  If somebody could help me find it, that would be great.

Kerrang shows up at my house every week, I'll post up the full list.

Which is why Kerrang!, the ROCK magazine that this is taken from, cover indie bands?

Oh wait....they don't....

Idlewild are on the list, they're not exactly hard rockers extraordinaire.

All I'm saying is that Kerrang! don't cover indie bands. As the list is voted for by the public, obviously they can't filter what people vote for, so if enough people voted for a band, then they can get in on the list.

EDIT: Carcass and Cathedral are British? Cool...

I'm surprised nobody voted for The Beatles. Or at least, not enough people voted for The Beatles.

Guess the readers of Kerrang! are more likely to listen to Idlewild then The Beatles...

Stereophonics are a rock band, thats why they cover them (well, thier latest album is, anyway)

I've never seen them cover Elbow, Oasis (although they are Brit-Rock, so they could have been covered)...I'm pretty sure they wouldn't cover Keane (not saying you are lying, but Keane are pop, not even Indie).

Meh, most indie bands they don't cover, unless there is an Indie-Rock element, rather than being pop/indie-pop.
