Smackdown Flashback:

Main Event

Handicap Match

The Undertaker vs. The Dudley Boyz

A battle that has raged Smackdown for the past few weeks came to a head as The Undertaker took on both Dudleyz in a handicap match. With the added incentive that if they win they will get a shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles at the Great American Bash The Dudleyz pulled out all the stops to try and put a stop to the dead man, but they couldn’t get him down, let alone for a three count. As they got more and more frustrated The Undertaker began to get back into the match and came close to victory after first a tombstone on D-Von, and then a Last Ride on Bubba Ray Dudley. They managed to escape both times but it wasn’t long before The Undertaker was able to take advantage of both men and after a massive Double Chokeslam The Undertaker was able to pin Bubba Ray for the victory.

Winner in 9:17: The Undertaker

(77, 78, 75)

As the Undertaker did his usual dark celebrations in the ring Paul Heyman came out onto the ramp and told the Undertaker that the Dudleyz couldn’t stop him but he knows a man who can and he standing right behind him. The Undertaker slowly turned round and found himself staring face to face with The Big Show! The two stared at each other for ages without either man moving. Eventually The Big Show backed off and left the ring before joining Paul Heyman at the top of the ramp.

Triple H was banned from the arena tonight, as HBK will be next week to avoid any contact between the two going into Bad Blood. Austin did his usual posing on the ropes before taking a microphone from Bischoff. Austin said that he has been brought back to Raw by Vince McMahon to clean things up. Clean up the mess made by Bischoff. Austin said that it was Bischoff’s fault Chris Benoit was injured and it is his fault that the World Heavyweight Title is being handed to Kane. Austin says that if Kane wants the title he will have to earn it at Bad Blood against an opponent hand picked by Austin. Austin then announces that taking on Kane at Bad Blood for the World Heavyweight Title will be….

WWE Raw

Live From Miami, Florida

Presented by Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler

Edge vs. Test

Raw began with the return match of Edge who was put out of action by Kane on Raw two weeks ago. Test made his own return last week with a victory over Chris Jericho but was unable to repeat that tonight as he went down to Edge, who fought like a man with a point to prove. Edge won after a long battle following the spear.

Winner in 8:37: Edge

(67, 76, 74)

After the match Edge took a microphone and challenged La Resistance to defend the Tag Team Titles against him and a mystery partner of his choosing this Sunday at Bad Blood.

Eugene Dinsmore w/William Regal vs. Mark Henry

Mark Henry has been away from the ring since February and tonight makes his return against the so far undefeated Eugene, who was forced into this match by Eric Bischoff. Henry completely dominated the entire match, throwing Eugene around like a rag-doll. William Regal, who was in Eugene’s corner decided that he had seen enough and behind the referee’s back hit Henry with some Brass Knuckles he had in his pocket. Eugene then had a simple cover to make to win the match and keep up his undefeated streak.

Winner in 4:27: Eugene Dinsmore

(62, 65, 73)

<<<Commercial Break>>>

When Raw returned Women’s champion Victoria had just made her way to the ring where Lita, Trish Stratus and Gail Kim were already waiting. Soon after Steve Austin made his way out to a thunderous applause from the crowd. Austin said that he had gathered the women in the ring to announce that this Sunday at Bad Blood they will be competing in a four way elimination match for the Women’s Title. And as a warm-up they will tonight be competing in a tag team match with Lita and Victoria taking on Trish and Gail.

Trish Stratus and Gail Kim vs. Victoria and Lita

Victoria didn’t seem to pleased with the announcement that had just been made and as a result couldn’t focus on the match properly which gave much of the offensive to Trish and Gail. They couldn’t finish her off though and eventually she was able to make a tag out to Lita who came in and cleaned house. Lita soon took the victory for her team after hitting Trish with a Twist of Fate while Victoria and Gail battled on the outside. After the match Victoria grabbed her title and ran off up the ramp protecting it after Lita had gone to congratulate her.

Winners in 6:11: Victoria and Lita

(62, 73, 62)

<<<Commercial Break>>>

Raw returned with the set for the Highlight Reel set up in the ring with Chris Jericho making his way to the ring. Jericho said that his guest tonight needed no introduction. He soon introduced his guest as The Rock!! The Rock made his way to the ring to the biggest cheer of the night from his home town crowd. When he got to the ring he and Jericho spoke on past differences they have had, and an argument soon broke out with a lot of funny insults being traded. They then moved on to the subject of Bad Blood this Sunday night and The Rocks match with Kane, where he will become once again the World Heavyweight Champion. As the conversation on Kane continued Randy Orton’s music played and the Legend Killer made his way to the ring with the Intercontinental Title over his shoulder. Orton got straight in The Rock’s face and didn’t waste any time in mentioning the victory he holds over The Rock from Wrestlemania XX. Orton then went on to say that he is pleased The Rocks back because he can now add another name to the long list of Legends he has defeated. The Rock was quick to point out that Orton hasn’t actually won a match in five weeks but if he really wants to try his luck against The Rock why doesn’t he do it tonight in The Rock’s very own home town of Miami, Florida. Orton quickly accepted the challenge and said that it would be an honour to defeat a legend in his own home town in front of his own family.

Kane vs. Maven

With just under a week to go until he faces The Rock for the World Heavyweight Title at Bad Blood, Kane was in action tonight against one of the men who he attacked on Raw two weeks ago, Maven. The match proved to be a total squash with Kane winning in just over two minutes after hitting a Chokeslam and then for good measure a tombstone piledriver.

Winner in 2:09: Kane

(65, 77, 65)

Back in the ring Triple H had come out to talk about his opponent this Sunday at Bad Blood, Shawn Michaels. Triple H said that this Sunday will finally mark the end of their battles because he will destroy the Heartbreak Kid once and for all. Triple H spoke about his past experiences in Hell in a Cell, and declared that by going on form and history Shawn Michaels doesn’t stand a chance in hell of beating him this Sunday night.

<<<Commercial Break>>>

Backstage Randy Orton was shown preparing for his match against The Rock with the rest of Evolution. After he left to go to the ring Batista declared that he was sick of being overlooked all the time and never getting any matches on Raw anymore. He then told Flair that he was making an open challenge to any one on the roster to take him on this Sunday night at Bad Blood.

Main Event

Non-Title Match

The Rock vs. Randy Orton

For the second week in a row Randy Orton was featured in the main event of Raw against a WWE legend looking for his first victory in some time. This was The Rocks first singles match in the WWE since April 2003 but he didn’t show any ring rust as he completely took it to the talented youngster. The Rock pulled out all of the spots which really kept the crowd in the match. Orton looked like he was going to kill off yet another legend when he set The Rock up for the RKO but Rocky managed to escape and hit Orton with a Spinebuster. He followed it up the People’s Elbow but Orton kicked out at three much to the annoyance of The Rocks home crowd. The match continued with Orton again coming close to finishing things off after hitting the O-Zone but The Rock was able to kick out on the verge of three. The Rock was soon able to finally finish things off after a Rock Bottom and a second People’s Elbow.

Winner in 11:42: The Rock

(72, 85, 69)

The Rock’s after match celebrations were soon cut off by his opponent this Sunday, Kane. The Big Red Machine stormed to the ring and went after The Rock much like he did Chris Benoit two weeks ago. He manages to connect with a Chokeslam and goes outside to get a chair, but when he returns The Rock is somehow getting to his feet. Kane swings the chair but The Rock slides out under the bottom rope and retreats up the ramp. Raw ends with Kane holding a chair inside the ring staring at The Rock who is looking back while holding the back of his head.
