Guest Reaperstang Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Hi I am TP. I used to run a promotion called the PW but the bigger promotions stole my established talent and eventually forced me to go out of business. I have worked some basic jobs lately and I still own that 89 Dodge Omni. I also own a 93 Taurus. I am looking to buy out a promotion or become a head booker until I get enough money or interested people in starting my own promotion. I am a good booker and I am mildly over. If I find my article in that wrestling magazine I will show you how they rated my stats. They rated it in a lot of categories(I will post my player stats later). So the other night when I got home from work at 7 I laid back and watched the tape of RAW from the previous night. Watching it made me wanna get back into the business. I read up on the industry and noticed Lance Storm and many others retired. I also noticed that DDP and Austin were trying to get back into the ring. With talent and big names like that out there I probably could bring some guys into a new fed. So I typed up an application and sent it out to every promotion I could think of. WWE, TNA, ROH, CZW, and many others were on that list. I just sat around waiting for a response to my emailed applications. OOC: I am doing this on TEW and starting unemployed. I haven't actually started the game because I am gonna try and fix the TEWZone data as much as I can. In the questions section I have a thread for this. Go there if you wanna help me with the TEWZone data. Also I wanna get 10 people from the boards into my fed so ONCE you do your suggestions and corrections in that other thread post your TEW stats. Follow those directions in that thread though.
Guest Reaperstang Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 So I went into work today and as I sat there with 3 coworkers we discussed our futures with Red Lobster and such. When they were done I brought up my wrestling past and how I wanted to get involved again. 1 guy Geoff was a huge wrestling fan and heavily in favor of Evolution kicking HHH out or Orton and bringing in BEnjamin. Then Scott the gay guy but good friends with Geoff(who is straight) and only a pay per view wrestling fan and heavily attracted to Batista. Then last was Jason a guy who doesn't like wrestling but has an open mind. A huge baseball fan is Jason. So when I told them my plan they laughed at me since none had ever heard of anything outside of WWF, WWE, and WCW. Geoff knew a little about ECW from the Invasion angle and such. So later that day as I was day dreaming and cutting lettuce I decided I needed to go all out. I was gonna quit my job and try to keep in touch with about 8 people from there. I needed to put my 2 weeks notice in though. When to announce it was key though. I got home and checked my emails. All I got was some spam from WWE and other sites. The WWE spam doesn't open right though since I don't have the right flash update. Oh well stuff happens. I started reading up on the worlds best wrestlers and how much they wanted for indy bookings just in case I needed to open my own promotion. In order to do that I would need about a 50 thousand dollar lone though. Lots of things I needed to think about. Good thing tomorrow is my day off!
Guest Rubber Band Man Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 I haven't read to many tew diaries so I will be reading this one
triplexpac Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Seems like an interesting diary, lets see how it goes! I like the idea of starting with nothing.

Guest Reaperstang Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 (edited) Diary Entry 1 Dear Diary After a long time of going through many different game plans I talked to my grandpa who happened to sell Ted Turner Amway a few years back. My grandpa offered me a couple million dollars. He has always had money but never has given it to anyone in the family. I asked thinking I have nothing to lose. My mom figured he would say no but when he said yes she flipped and then said nonshalantly(sp)... "hell he doesn't need it anyways." I thanked my grandfather and promised him I would turn out a profit with my new company. I called Ted Turner and he told me the rumors about him getting back into wrestling were false. He didn't want in the business. I asked him for some assistance and he gave me numbers of people I could reach about my promotion. Workers, staff, and television networks. Now none of this happened over night. This happened over the course of a year and a half. After much work me and my friends still had no staff. So my friends offered to help me a little bit. I basically ended up splitting 4 million dollars between all of them. We had our first venue booked. It was gonna be called Legends. I ordered a World Title and 2 Tag Team Titles online. I decided to have a cruiserweight division even though we didn't have a title for them. The first show will not have any titles fought for but we will unveil them. We will also have some announcements regarding the belts. Yeah this idea sounds great. How come whenever I write in this dumb online diary I always end up rambling? Anywho, I never thought I would be 19, rich, and owning my very own wrestling promotion. It is a good thing my friend Tom is good with building websites. The website should be up soon with my roster and advertisements for our first show. I am also glad my grandpa is willing to pitch my promotion to some of his friends as well. It is nice having some connections. With a possible television deal in the works I think this could work out. We don't have any 6 sided rings with dual entrances like American Gladiators or anything but we will have some pretty good shows. I have no doubt. Espescially with the roster I have assembled so far. Well I better get some shut eye. PS... I quit Red Lobster the night I got the money. Edited May 31, 2004 by JuggaloNinjaLee

Guest Reaperstang Posted May 31, 2004 Report Posted May 31, 2004 (edited) June 4, 2004 Legends on MTV nodq.com I attended the first CoW Legends show. Overall it was an alright show. The whole set up was good but not state of the art or anything. The show kicked off with a slight buzz in the air. The announcers all were introduced seperately with videos and music. The crowd popped for each of them. Heenan got the biggest pop of the 3 announcers. Joanie Laurer or whatever her name is looks a lot like Chyna from the WWE a few years ago(OOC: I know she is but this is from a fans point of view). She looks like she could take some of the guys in CoW. Charles Wright VS Jinsei Shinzaki Charles was just too slow to wrestle Shinzaki. Shinzaki did a nice looking diving clothesline off the top rope t hat Wright sold very well. The crowd kept chanting "God-fath-er." He had him up for the Pimp Drop hit Lash in the nose and it started to bleed. Shinzaki spun out of it and hit a quick roundhouse kick that knocked Charles down. Lash went to the outside real quick to get his nose checked. CW Anderson came out and knocked both men out with chairs. He his Shinzaki first though which is why Shinzaki won via DQ. David Flair came out and the 2 beat on both men for a little bit. The segment lasted about 10 minutes. Buff Hype for the Royale Everyone knows how a Bagwell promo goes. He talked about how he was buff the stuff and the girls couldn't get enough. He called a girl out of the crowd and she about collapsed when she ran her hands down his abs. He asked her who was gonna win the battle royale and she said Hulk Hogan. Buff went into a frenzy and told her to get out of the ring. He proceeded to tell her Hogan wasn't buff or the stuff and he definately wasn't Buff Daddy. Buff didn't get over as a face or a heel in this promo though. He was just cocky ol' Buff. Hogan Arrival Hogan arrived right after Buff left. He showed up in a limo wearing a black leather coat. Black jeans, and a light blue bandana. No, red and yellow. The crowds biggest pop came during this time. Owner Promo The owner showed up on screen. He thanked the crowd and said the 10 man battle royale winner automatically made the World Title Tournament and went to the finals. He also showed the World Title during this time. The belt looks really nice. Same shape as the old Smoking Skull Belt Austin wore in WWE. It had a red back but the front was black leather. He also told us he was still going to bring in more superstars in the coming weeks. The crowd didn't seem bored or too enthused during this time. Duane Gillberg VS David Flair Duane went for a quick spear. He hit Flair but fell down on his face. David looked at him like Duane was crazy. David laughed and then chopped Duane back into a corner. Flair proceeded to do chops and after the crowd went wooooooo! David did too right back. He then screamed he wasn't Ric. The crowd started chanting "Ric, Ric, Ric." David got frustrated and powerbombed Duane. He then slapped on the figure four and Duane tapped immediately. David got up and did the Ric Flair struts. They prolly used up 6 minutes tops. The crowd knew Davids character didn't wanna be compared to his father and played off it quickly. Buff Laid Out The big screen then showed a cameraman running to an area surrounded by medics. Buff was on the ground not moving. This went on for 2 minutes. I knew it couldn't be Hogan but they set it up that way. Strange Tag Teams Chris Kanyon, and Chris Candido seemed ok but DDP, and Vampiro? That was the match up. Kanyon hit the Diamond Cutter on DDP but Vampiro came in and knocked Kanyon out of the ring about 9 minutes into the match. Candido then tackled Vampiro out to the floor. DDP got up as Kanyon was getting back into the ring. Kanyon and DDP seemed like the main focus of this match. Lash finally restored order just in t ime for Kanyon to tag Candido and roll to the floor. Vampiro tagged DDP who hit a quick Diamond Cutter out of nowhere and picked up the win. Vampiro left through the crowd. He didn't stick around to celebrate. This match went 16 minutes. Buff came back Buff came back in a car that he must have stolen because a pregnant lady was in the passenger seat. Buff was bleeding from the head and storming into the building. Good segment I thought. Savage attacked Goldberg Then Goldberg was shown coming out of his lockerroom but Savage hit him with a chair busting him open. The crowd booed and started chanting for "Eminem." Battle Royale and Tourney Bye This was the longest battle royale ever! Brock Lesnar won after what seemed like over an hour. He won by eliminating Goldberg who took out Savage, and Hulk Hogan. New Horseman Attack David Flair, and CW attacked DDP on his way back to his lockerroom. They left him down and turned to the camera. CW told us that he should have been in that battle royale and that he was robbed of a shot. The screen went to black as CW and Flair walked the other way down the hallway. So the show was ok but CoW doesn't seem to have any real interesting stars. =========================== Legends Ratings Heenan Video-54.4% Joanie Video-47.5% Shiavone Video-52.7% Charles Wright over Jinsei by DQ Match Reaction = 30.0% Match Quality = 56.3% Overall Rating = 35.8% Buff Interview-77.8% Hogan Arrival-55.7% TP Sit Down-72.0% Flair over Gill by Submission Match Reaction = 14.7% Match Quality = 47.4% Overall Rating = 27.8% Buff Angle-65.9% DDP and Vampiro over Candido and Kanyon by pinfall Match Reaction = 44.5% Match Quality = 74.4% Overall Rating = 61.8% Buff Returning to the Arena-65.9% Savage attacking Goldberg-78.3% Battle Royale Match Reaction = 63.6% Match Quality = 69.2% Overall Rating = 30.4% New Horseman attack DDP-37.9% =========================== OOC: My roster is nothing how I want it at the moment. Guest Reaperstang Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 (edited) www.411wrestling.com With CoWs arrival on the wrestling scene people have begun to buzz about competition. They will not be competing with WWE for a little bit but they have caused TNA to get a later time slot. So the war may be between TNAW and CoW. We look to the coming weeks to see if any talent will be stolen from either promotion. Who will make the first blow? Who will wrestlers view as the better promotion? All to come in a few weeks time as CoW gets a few shows under their belts. OOC: Ok I personally don't like the way I did the results. I am still trying to find something short but decent for my television shows. Does anyone have a diary t hey can refer me to for a good example of good short results? I need to come up with something different. Did any of you who read my other diaries like those formats? My WWE one was kinda detailed and from the perspective of me being in the arena hearing or watching the show. My PW one was a lil detailed but choppy. It didn't flow. My WCW one seemed like it was ok or at least heading the right way but I never posted a show. So yeah I dunno I wanna write but for TV shows I wanna do short results. I like short results except for PPVs. Edited June 1, 2004 by JuggaloNinjaLee
Guest Reaperstang Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 (edited) 411wrestling.com CoW has been very active in the free agent market. They signed six new people to written contracts. Two workers from the UK, and a referee. They also got a veteran brawler. They also signed another tag team. We could not get name confirmation from our source inside the company. Will they debut this week at Legends? CoWrestling.com Legends tonight is going to be the beginning of history. The world title tournament begins and TP will be in the arena and has something to say about Brock Lesnar winning the battle royal last week. What will the "new Horseman" do this week? Will they continue jumping talent at will or will they get their message across some other way? Last week Buff Bagwell was found out cold after trash talking Hogan. Did Hogan do it? Tonights main event is Goldberg VS Randy Savage. TP made this match because of Savages actions last week. Tune in tonight at 10:00 P.M. on MTV. OOC: My results will be done a lot better this time. Guest Reaperstang Posted June 5, 2004 Report Posted June 5, 2004 I walked out of the webmasters office after telling him what the card was going to be. He put some hype behind it and I approved it. I got back to my office and sat in my nice comfy chair. As I sat there I thought about storylines, tag teams, and many other things. I called CW Anderson to see if he was gonna be doing Z-1 and he told me not if he was on a CoW show because we were his number one priority. I thanked him and told him if he stuck by us I would look out for him. He thanked me and I immediately decided I needed to get his tag team partner David Flair over somehow. I already had him squash Duane Gill. Then I went out to lunch with my assistant that I knew from high school. She tried keeping it business related but I really wanted to ask her on a date. I chickened out and turned things into a conversation about the fact we had no sponsors and weren't getting enough tickets sold. It was almost 1 and I had to catch a plane so I could make it to Legends. We wrapped up lunch and she asked me to sit by her on the plane. Of course I agreed to and that was my daytime. I went back to my office and had tons of phone calls. I didn't have time to listen to my messages though. I also noticed my inbox was full of emails. I grabbed some paperwork and went to the airport.

ACCBiggz Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 This is simply garbage... I'm trying to read this, but my brain is saying no, please no more... I don't even know where to start.
SeanDMan Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 To say that this is bad would be an insult to bad diaries everywhere. To be honest, I've ignored this diary based on my general dislike of you and your reputation as a bad writer. When I saw Biggz had commented I figured you might have turned it around, but you haven't. OOC: My results will be done a lot better this time. The show should be up by Sunday. I highly doubt it. Your writer is dry. It's pathetically bad. Theres no emotion at all. Lets go ahead and deconstruct it. TP went on to say that David Flair and CW Anderson were suspended for their actions last week. Police escorted them out of the building from their lockerroom. They were suspended for their actions? What actions? We don't get a replay? We don't get a reminder? We don't get breifly hinted at the person who was the subject of their actions, we get nothing. And we don't get any reaction. They get escorted out of the buliding by police. And that's it. We aren't told how they feel. They could be furious. They could be incredulous. They could be happy to have the night off and very self satsified. They could have led poisoning from licking the paint off the walls and were subsequently thrown in the looney bin. We don't know, because you don't care to take the time to tell us. On. Charles Wright came out and started about how he didn't have a match but Now. This has potential. Wright somes out and sais he doesn't have a match but. This could turn into anything. He could say he doesn't have a match tonight but he's really eager for one so come on out. He could say he doesn't have a match tonight, but thats all right because he doesn't give a shit about entertaining the fans. He could say he doesn't have a match tonight, but he's all right because he's going to go backstage, snort 25 pounds of coke and drink tequila out of a hookers anus. He could say that, but he doesn't. Because he doesn't say anything. Because Ted Dibiase came out and introduced Animal from the legendary Legion of Doom as his opponent. I kinda suppose this could be okay... Animal could have gotten a massive pop from the crowd. He could have came out and cut a promo on how much he hated Charles Wright. He could have come out, complained about being hung over from last night, and urinated on the referee. He could have done that, but he didn't, because you didn't care enough to write about it. On. Goldberg VS Savage(11 minutes) Goldberg had Savage beat when he missed a spear and hit the post. Midajah got up on the apron and Savage grabbed a chair. Savage smacked the chair against the ground and then tossed it to Goldberg as he turned around. Savage dropped to the ground and the ref turned back around. Goldberg was caught with Savages chair and the ref announced Savage the winner. Savage ran away afterwards as Goldberg was furious. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, that was an 11 minute match Not droning on and on about how shitty the match write up is, lets deconstruct this. 4 matches, 4 MATCHES on this card got 10 plus minutes while the main event got 11 minutes. Lets think about that for a second. This isn't Ring of Honor where every match can go 20 minutes. It's Champions of Wrestling, faturing mostly past their prime brawlers who think that innovation is adding a 360 to their lariat. The prospect of 5 matches on this card getting over ten minutes is, frankly, revolting. Now continue to say that if you can't showcase the wrestling, you can showcase the characters. How do you do this? Focus. Give us two guys who are the core of the federation. Want it to be Goldberg and Savage? I guess that works. Now lets show how we don't make them the focus of the show: Give a match with Gillberg, and a BACKSTAGE BRAWL with Lash Leroux more time. Randomly give one of them a manager (it's not clear which) for no apparent reason. Have a bullshit DQ finish. Eddy Guerrero Randy Savage is not Have the crowd chant for Emenim during one of their promos. Uhhhhh.... This is all horrible booking. And, for the record, it appears in your diary. On. TP came out and thanked the fans for coming. He announced that Brock would not get a bye and the crowd cheered. TP showed the reason why Brock wasn't getting a bye. The footage on the screen showed that Brock was eliminated earlier in the match but slid back in. TP said if Brock didn't win the tournament though he would get the first title shot. He then announced who would be in the first 2 tournament matches tonight. Okay. So if he doesn't win in the tournament to get the belt, he will automatically get the first title shot. WHY. What the fuck sense does that make. He cheated last week, the fans hate him and they do not want to see him get a bye and win the tournament AND YET THE FED HEAD GIVES HIM A FREE TITLE SHOT. RETARDED RETARDED RETARDED BOOKING. This is making Russo era WCW look downright sensible. And one more thing. WHO THE FUCK IS TP. He's clearly a prominent figure. Last week he was called the owner. NOW WITH NO EXPLAINATION HE IS CALLED TP, BUT IT IS NEVER REVEALED WHY, OR WHAT TP MEANS OR WHO HE IS. IS HE THE OWNER? IS HE A FAN? IS HE JESUS FUCKING CHRIST REBORN? WE DON'T KNOW, BECAUSE GASP SHOCK HORROR, YOU'RE TOO FUCKING LAZY TO TELL US. This diary is so far beyond horrible it's created new levels of atrocious when it comes to writing completely illogical and uninteresting diaries. I'm pulling for this one to be closed, moved to the archives, and subsequently burnt so one can ever read it and mistake it for acceptable quality of writing.
Guest JamesHearte Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Nice so far. I like the format for the matches. Shorter reads are good for my attention span. I'm not loving everything, but the fun Buff Bagwell plotline makes up for that. Buff rocks! Seriously, I'm looking foward for more..
Guest Reaperstang Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 I do feel I need to give more explaination. I guess I have been assuming that people would understand. TP is the owner. Nobody knows what they stand for. Just TP for now. I do a lot of my booking and such on the fly spur of the moment. Then later on I write up the show. I should probably write up the shows in notepad or something. I find it hard writing the whole match out. When I read long write ups from other people it seems really repetitive. Also I don't feel 11 minutes is long for a match like that given away on free tv. I think PPV matches should all be at least 15 minutes so to me thats still under what I feel a big calibre match should be. I am having trouble finding an identity for this fed. I do not like having washed up has beens but that is all there is on the market right now. I am using TEWZone 4.2 and I created a promotion. Yeah right now Buff and Hogan are in a minor storyline that is gonna move both men into something better for each.
Guest JamesHearte Posted June 9, 2004 Report Posted June 9, 2004 Hopefully Buff's road is a one way trip to the CoW Championship! Moo.
britneyspearsisgod Posted June 10, 2004 Report Posted June 10, 2004 (edited) I do feel I need to give more explaination. I guess I have been assuming that people would understand. TP is the owner. Nobody knows what they stand for. Just TP for now. Then at least explain that. Don't make everyone find out for themselves. Add some mystery to it. If this is for TV, have the announcers go on about who is this TP guy and what is he all about. Don't just assume some random people are going to know who it is. I do a lot of my booking and such on the fly spur of the moment. Then later on I write up the show. Then that's what you need to work on - plan it to some degree. Don't just decide randomly. Put some thought into it. What would you like to see? Once you realize that, then get notepad loaded (or even just scramble some notes down on paper) and plan for a few weeks. You don't even have to do it with a lot of conviction - just pre-plan things, and you'll at least get some continuity going. I should probably write up the shows in notepad or something. I find it hard writing the whole match out. When I read long write ups from other people it seems really repetitive. Then just recap the match. But do it with some REAL description. Talk about past events, describe a few moves, describe some psychology and do it like that. Just describe the big points of the match. At least try to convey the match and whatever importance it may have. Everything on a show MUST make sense. Do not waste a spot on your shows, because a wasted segment is wasted money. You don't have to have it long... just a bit longer than what you've got. Also I don't feel 11 minutes is long for a match like that given away on free tv. I think PPV matches should all be at least 15 minutes so to me thats still under what I feel a big calibre match should be. The point is, all the matches go at that length though. There's little variaty in the matches. Look at WWE - PPV matches generally, if it's main event (and there are good workers involved) go for around 20-30 minutes. And even then, most matches will generally last more than 5-7 minutes (if we're lucky). I am having trouble finding an identity for this fed. I do not like having washed up has beens but that is all there is on the market right now. What you needed to do is hire young guns to intersperse with the big guys, and slowly bring them up. That's what you need to do. Bring in younger talent and let them shine through. Don't just settle for the big names - if you want new wrestlers, you gotta make them. Overall, you need to add more detail, plan out your shows and generally try to come up with new stars to intersperse with the ones you got. You need to explain what you're doing. Don't expect people to know what's going on - we don't even know what you're planning... then again, neither do you. If you don't have the dedication to write out at least some form of results, then end this now. Unless your dedicated to write a diary, there's no point in doing one. Right now, anything is an improvement on this. Edited June 10, 2004 by britneyspearsisgod
