Let's settles this! At the end of June (June 30), the type of music with the most votes is the unofficial EWB music of the year!

I'm gonna throw my hat in the race for the darkhorse, Jazz. The shear complexity of some of the better Jazz just seems to put it on a level beyond the other genres. It's also such an all encompassing genre, ranging from fast to slow, loud to quiet, vocal to instrumental, big band to small arrangment, and that's not even including the infinite number of possible instrument arrangements. So yeah, Jazz, and Bill Evans "Everybody Digs Bill Evans" is the greatest CD ever.

I don't know how you are able to say that, because KISS owns all, but only people i know that would agree with have seen KISS in concert. You really need to see KISS in concert to know how great they truely are.

For the record, KISS is PISS.

Like Squancho said, that list isn't very comprehensive, a lot of important genres were just skipped over. The best of kind of music is incredibly subjective anyway, and indicitive only of what style anyone is currently into. That said, I'm personally into a lot of punk/emo/screamo/hardcore right now.

I like KISS, I enjoy that shit, but there is not one reasonable arguement you could make to them "best band in the world". People often forget the difference between "favorite" and "best". I love the fucking Sex Pistols. Best band ever? I think not.

OH! Reckon I like lots of music, I can go from Billy Idol, to Slipknot, to Hank Williams Jr., to Staind, to Tori fucking Amos.

I like quality music, never really definded by a genre, and then sometimes I just like the stuff we all mark out for. Just because. Not a rap person, but other than that, we're good.

Anyways... I think that topics like this could be a whole lot of fun, provided that the assclowns stay away from them.

Personally, the only music that I don't like is Rap music, Opera, and that "Pop music" that wannabe female rappers (like Ashanti, ugh) sing... I mean, if I wanted to hear someone say "Yeah, Yeah" or "Ooh, Baby", I'd watch a porno, where at least I know the women are nekkid.
