Liz Phair is truly a goddess! I saw her on the Bob Costas show on HBO the other day and she looked amazing.

She's hot, no doubt, but a lot of people just absolutely despise her new album due to it taking on arrangements and sounds that are more run-of-the-mill. While it's a hit-and-miss album, the songs that work further prove her writing ability as nice.

In no order, since in all honesty I listen to those five most of the time I pop in a CD anyway...

1. "Remember" - Disturbed

2. "Turn the Page" - Metallica

3. "Broken Down" - Sevendust

4. "Suffocate" - Cold

5a. "When the World Ends [Oakenfold Remix]" - Dave Matthews Band

5b. "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" - DJ Entropy

That "All Your Base" one was added simply because recently I've been listening to it more often, it's catchy =P

Have you heard their version of The Cure's "Love Song"? It was from the soundtrack of the last Adam Sandler movie. They play it on the radio all the time here.

She's hot, no doubt, but a lot of people just absolutely despise her new album due to it taking on arrangements and sounds that are more run-of-the-mill.  While it's a hit-and-miss album, the songs that work further prove her writing ability as nice.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of people are all pissed off and saying she sold out. It's the old thing where as soon as you do something different there's a group of "fans" that claim you sold out. I've never really listened to much of her music to begin with. I've got this one CD from back in the mid-90's that had a bunch of different groups doing covers of old cartoon songs. Liz Phair did a great cover of the the Banana Splits theme.
