Plus, like it or not, Civilization lends itself horribly for online play. It is hardly even worth it to fire it up at drunken LAN parties.

Although it is funny when all our games break down when someone discovers Judaism and everyone starts trying their damnedest to raze every city with Jewish faith in them.

I have to imagine that the 360 achievements for Civ will be awesome.

And, more importantly, ones I might actually be able to complete for once. :shifty:

Does anyone know anyway to get this beautiful, beautiful game to work on Vista? I've been dying to play it since we got the snazzy new PC, but it won't work. :(

How do you mean doesn't work? If you mean it installs and plays but doesn't show all of the map and/or the leaders heads, that's your graphics card, not Vista.

Is there such a thing as a quick multiplayer game of Civ IV? ¬_¬

And I'm going to make this the official Civilization thread because, fuck it, Revolution's out in a few weeks and I know I'll be playing.

Duel map

Ancient start

Advanced start (200 points)

Quick mode

I haven't played a multiplayer with those settings before but its pretty quick when I'm just playing against the comp.
