Any Year's Best List should be put together not based on when the film was released theatrically in ONE country, but when they were first released period, even if it was only in limited release. Any movie released at the end of 2004 in a few cities should not be on a 2005 best movie list because technically it was released in the previous year.

And as for Crash, while it had a strong cast and a strong premise, the exectuion was wanting and lacking. It could have been a great film, in reality it was a good film.

How the only mildly amusing 40 Year Old Virgin made it at the far superior Wedding Crashers didn't, I will never know.

I thought Crash was really good.

With the exception of Brokeback Mountain, which is horrible, and The Squid and the Whale, which I have never even heard of, that's actually not a bad list.
