I agree with the Lamarr is Buzzcocks standpoint. He's gone from being the straight man in all his early comedy work (Shooting Stars, Big Breakfast, etc.) to being quite the opposite, and his vitriol and comic timing are perfect. While Bill Bailey and Phil Jupitus are funny as comedians, on a panel format like Buzzcocks, then need someone to play off, and Lamarr is perfect for that.
