So did anyone get the current issue of Kerrang with the Metallica tribute CD? What dya think?

Haven't listened to it yet, ripping it now. Figured I'd make this thread while I wait.

For the uninformed, it's the 20th anniversary of the Master of Puppets album, so to celebrate, they got a bunch of Kerrang approved Metal bands to cover the entire album.

Track list is as follows...

Trivium - Master of Puppets

Mendeed - The Thing That Should Not Be

Bullet for my Valentine - Welcome Home (Sanitarium)

Chimaira - Disposable Heroes

So why do they do these heavy metal shows? Talk about how great Slipknot are in their magazines. Then put on "Eminem rocks" or "My chemical romance rock" on the channel?

First two tracks are really good. I think most Trivium fans will have heard them do MOP before, but this studio version sounds a lot better than the live versions.

Oddly enough, my favourite track on it is the Fightstar one..and I fucking hate fightstar.

The only track i dislike is Bullets, and I'm not too sure about FFAF's yet either.

Thats the first time I've heard Funeral For A Friend as well, is that the way he sings all the time? I quite like it. I expected it to be more whiny.
