Damn do I want that new album. If this is better than my favorite band's recent release and my favorite band is Tool...that's a paradox of shit I can't even begin to comprehend.

Anyway...I got the Tool album. It's alright, but goes a little slow for me. Be reminded that this is my first exposure to Tool.

Considering your age, my friend, you may be better suited starting off with "Opiate" or "Undertow". Not saying anything against you, it's just that Tool's later albums are much harder to digest and fully appreciate without a good bit of life experience.

Then again, I'm only 22, so it's a moot point.

As for the album....damn. Just damn. The lyrics to "Vicarious" alone strike every little resonant chord they possibly can with me. Musically, this feels so much like Soundgarden's "Down On The Upside" combined with Dream Theater's "Train Of Thought"....doesn't hurt that, in the world of Me, these albums freaking rule. Of course, your mileage may vary.
