I was short stacked, only had $850 left mid-way through the tournament. My suit didn't come on the flop at all, so I couldn't get a flush, but I had a straight draw, needing a King for a straight. It didn't come. Besides, what the hell do you expect me to do, wait for pocket aces until I'm down to like $200? :P

I had the luckiest time on my Partypoker table.

First hand I get pocket 8's so I figure "What the hell?" and called. Flop gave me a third 8. So I went "Fuck it. All in" and I found 3 callers but I found a second ten on the river to give me full boat. See ya wouldn't wanna be ya

Hand 2. We're down to 7 (And I've got a nice chip lead) I pull Jack/Ace in the hole so naturally I play the hand. The flop came 10-King-Queen. Straight time so I bet to bring every other player all in. 3 takers. Yoink see ya wouldn't wanna be ya.

I went onto win. Got $50 too. BONUS! CASH OUT TIME BIYATCH!

I'm a sad, sad man, so i'm usually playing at family get-togethers or against the computer on my Hoyle Casino 2004 game. Reckon I could head on over to PartyPoker.com though.

*bump* Finally finished in the cash :D

Earlier today, I finished 6th in a $1,000 Freeroll tournament. Won myself $45 :D

At one point, I had over $10,000 in chips, and got to the final table with only about half of that stack ($4,600). Went all in for my last $1,700 with Q-J suited. Got called by a pair of 2's. The flop came...

4-3-6

Still trailing, as my opponent picks up a straight draw. A miracle card came on the turn...

Q

I had made a pair of Queens, and was ready to get back in the fight...so why did I go out on 6th?

5

That's why. My opponent makes the straight, and I get rivered to the discard pile.

:(

Ouch.

I was playing a freeroll today on Stars - first time in a while. I started playing aggressive early on, when half the table was sitting out. Raked in about 4000 in chips. So then I got a bunch of bad hands and started folding a lot. Then I went agressive again, got moved to another table, and started getting crushed. 1903rd, not good.

I finished 502nd in my first freeroll.

I was hitting enough pots to stay alive but I just never found a hand.

I eventually went all in on Ace-Eight of Diamonds and I did find two pair.

Problem was there were three clubs on the table and my opponent got a flush.

Played my first Freeroll tourneys over the weekend.

845th out of 4000 in the first (which I was quite happy with), and 3019 out of 4000 in the second.

I had pocket Aces, and I was sure the other guy was just betting big to bluff his way to the pot, so I called him and went all in. I was right, he had a 2 and a 7.

Then what pops out in the flop?

6 2 9 7 7

And that was it for me. 3019th

I took part in my third freeroll on poker room yesterday. I finished 9th out of 1600. I'm more than pleased with that finish. I only won 2 big pots but several smaller ones. I almost went out around 900.

I was dealt pocket Kings. I was one seat to the right of the dealer so I was next to last to act. Third person to bet raises all-in (2,500) and everyone folds and it's my turn to act. I'm sitting comfortable at this point chip wise as I'm looking at around 1400. I sit there and think to myself "Okay pocket Kings. There is only one hand that can beat me pre-flop. What the hell let's move all-in too." So I called his all-in and everyone else folds. So it's a 1-on-1 showdown. Turns out he didn't have a better hand than me. He was holding an A J offsuit. So I'm thinking to myself I'm a decent favorite. Flop comes down 2-8-A. Fuck he's got top pair and I've got two outs. I need a King! Turn card comes down a 4. Leaving me one chance to stay alive. And of course luck stuck and I got my King on the river.
