Leakage

I felt a sexual spin/double meaning would be perfect to drill home that Stadium Arcadium has been leaked......that is all.

I've only heard the first 4 tracks on "Jupiter" this far, and they're all great stuff. Dani California is the weakest of the 4, with "Charlie" being my favourite. Purely because it's like the closest thing to the Chilli's covering a Primus song. Scrub that..."Snow" is sexy.

Holy fucking shit, what an album.

To elaborate: Jupiter is definately the stronger of the two IMO. C'Mon Girl, Snow, Charlie and Hump De Bump make sure of that. But Mars has some really great mellow songs like Turn it Again, Hard to Concentrate and Animal Bar.

So, both albums are chock full of great songs and, a lot of them (maybe 3 quarters) could definately be singles.

I don't know if I want to get the leak or not, I am really really looking forward to next tuesday just because of this CD and feel like it will be useless if I hear a leak of it. What do most people think of it though, I heard the Peppers think this is the best cd they have ever done which means it will be fucking incredible.

I would'nt take my word as gospel skummy, as I don't really like By The Way. I've given the new album 2 listens through, but nothing has jumped out and grabbed me, other than Snow, as previously mentioned. With the recent release of Pearl Jam and 10,000 Days RHCP are quite low on my list of priorities at the moment.

The title track is probably my favorite track, though.

Fuckin' wow. What an album. I seriously cannot get enough of it. Listened to both discs once through, now listening to Jupiter multiple times - Mars tomorrow. There isn't a bad song on the entire album. Loads of different styles, and most importantly, the funk is back. Not entirely - to the standard of their older stuff - but it's there, regardless. Stadium Arcadium, Snow (Hey Oh) and Charlie are my favourites thus far, but as I say, there isn't a bad track on here. Best album since BSSM, easily. Fucking fantastic. Great basslines, great lyrics, awesome solos, great drums, amazing harmonies, the lot.

The leak is good quality too. (Y)

yeah. I started listening to Mars today and Tell Me Baby is awesome. Real funky bassline. Only 4 songs in at the minute though. Great stuff.

So far all i can say is that Snow is the best track i've encountered so far, just awesome.

Turn It Again may be my favourite song ever.

Mars is slowly starting to take it's place over Jupiter but both discs are just fucking brilliant.

Secondly, very excellent stuff. Every song has something good to it, which is surprising. I've only listened to each album a few times so I can't really say which is my favourite yet, but I think it'll be Mars once I'm used to them. Animal Bar, We Believe and Hard To Concentrate are beyond awesome. Hump De Bump and Charlie are also good stuff.

Snow is, like the rest, really good, but I don't see the above-and-beyond love it's getting. It doesn't stand out for me as much as others, but like I said, it's still very good.

I got the leak and I must say I'm impressed. Not being the biggest RHCP fan out there, needless to say I'm impressed with everything on both discs.

I love the song Snow, as well, had it stuck in my head all day.

I've just finished listening to Jupiter, and it's actually frustrating to listen to. So many of the songs are so close to being good. Some songs have good music, like C'Mon Girl, but are ruined by Kedis' singing. Other songs, like Charlie, Warlocks and Torture Me, are so close to attaining the greatness of their old work, then the chorus comes, and instead of picking things up, the song slows down and Kedis starts bellowing again.

Several songs on Mars follow the same pattern of being good until the chorus, though I have to say, on So Much I that arrangement actually works. If they could just make an album filled with songs like Made You Feel Better and Turn It Again, I'd be a RHCP fan again.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. It's annoying to hear them touch on past greatness, and then lost it moments after. It's like...they're so close to making the music I want them to make, and then they revert to By The Way's mediocrity. It's a shame because, for me, the Chili Peppers only exist as a back catalogue now, nothing they've done since Californication has interested me. That back catalogue is fantastic, but everything since has tainted the band, in my opinion, I really haven't enjoyed any of it. This is far superior to By The Way, but not even close to Blood Sugar Sex Majic, or even Californication, quality.
