Actually, in addition to my earlier post: Three letters

E-C-W, E-C-W!

With all the hype about it it would be fantastic if it made it into the game as a third brand. Imagine the storylines: ECW one Night Stand (you could be challenged to an EXTREME Match in front of the ECW crowd). Or be drafted or invited to join ECW as it 'Goes Global' in storyline mode. In addition you could control ECW in GM Mode (imagine you and a couple of mates choosing a brand each and going head to head).

(anyone else getting deja-vu seeing RVD with the WWE/ECW title after playing the ECW storyline in the 2006 version?)

Unfortunatly SD games have a history of dissappointing us in this respect, as I recall they missed out on being able to include the invasion storyline for that year, and it always seems like some hot storyline or Wrestler or team gets left out: MNM, Animal & Heidenreich's LOD (well I'd have liked them, there are bugger all Teams on the 2006 version). Hopefully, with the games 'roster cut-off' being around Summerslam IIRC, then they have time to fit ECW into the game. The early screenshots seem to indicate that they are prepared for an extreme element for the gameplay (what with all the weapon shots and suicide dives!).

What does anyone else think?

Well I'd stick 25 from each roster, and then ten legends. I wouldn't make it with the ECW split either, just stick with what happens from before - possibly have some ECW guys as unlockable characters if the ECW split happens in season mode. With that here's my roster:

ECW shouldn't have it's own game this early. There's only like, 13 members of ECW at the moment. No thanks. In reality, ECW is really only a brand extension, so I'd just add in the extra ECW wrestlers to SDVRAW.

All I ask is that the Zombie & Macho Libre be added. Please.

Wasn't the title of the game supposed to be changed to WWE vs ECW 2007 or something like that?? I wanna see every wrestler that has ever stepped foot in a WWF/E ring in the game and I wanna see old angles and storylines plus new ones and even some random ones that have never been seen before. The bad part is I probably won't ever get to see it actually happen

LEGENDS

Legends I would like to see in the game: (grouped but in no particular order)

Definitely:

> Demolition (Ax, Smash and Crush)

They would look good on the next gen systems and plus they were a great mega-popular tag team in the late 1980s.

> Andre The Giant

Has to be in there, full stop. World Class Legend. RIP.

> Jake Roberts (Where you can actually unlock him without having to buy a PSP or cheating)

Don't know about you but I felt cheated when I found out I'd need to buy a PSP to unlock him, he should come back this year.

> The Hart Foundation (Bret, Owen and/or Jim Neidhart)

It's good to have Bret but at the beginning of his career he was a tag team wrestler, so he should have one of his tag team partners in here.

> Hulk Hogan (same attires as in 06)

I don't like him too much but he ruled the 80s.

> Ted DiBiase

The Million Dollar Man was a great heel, should definitely been in there albeit his third appearance if he does.

> Mick Foley (Mankind/Cactus Jack/Dude Love attires)

Can you imagine Cactus Jack spreading pins all around the ring floor? Or Mick Foley donning the dreaded sock? Or Dude Love dancing his way down to the ring? I can... It'd be great. The attires he wore would also have potential to look a lot better.

> Rick Rude

Rude was one of the most charasmatic people on the roster.. should make his legend debut this year.

> Eddie Guerrero

They should definitely put Guerrero on here as a legend this year as a mark of respect to the great who left too soon.

> Mr. Perfect

I'm surprised he hasn't been on already, very talented wrestler and charasmatic, would be a good character to have on the game.

OTHERS

Could be Good:

Razor Ramon

Yokozuna

Jim Duggan

Chris Jericho

Roddy Piper

The Ultimate Warrior

Jerry Lawler

Dusty Rhodes

King Kong Bundy

The Rock

Randy Savage

Steve Austin

Unlikely:

Animal

Hawk

Kevin Nash

X-Pac

Bob Backlund

And a legend arena - WrestleMania 1 I say, with the proper retro blue ring.

Hell, there are sooooo many!

I think about 5-15 of these would be good, although I doubt there will be that many legends this year.

Old School Undertaker and Masked Kane should be second attires for Kane and Undertaker (like with Kane last year), Triple H could even have a Hunter Hearst Helmsley attire.

I think they should bring back the Attire system like in Shut Your Mouth, where almost every wrestler had at least two different attires to choose from. And also, just off the subject, there should be WAY more backstage areas, having one or two is pathetic and even the original SmackDown! had four.

Oh, and lots, lots more weapons that don't disappear after using them four times.

Just read a report on IGN.

Money in the Bank will feature in the game, as well as improved ladder match options - the ability to lean a ladder against an other (think Shelton running up one), the ability to sandwich an opponent in-between a ladder and a couple of ladder upgrades. They've changed the way you actually win the ladder match, but the new way sounds crap.

They have upgraded table matches though. Not sure on the upgrades, but the ability to double stack tables is good.

Oh and Johnny Nitro is confirmed!

SmackDown PS3 Smacked Down

July 24, 2006 - There was quite a bit of drama for wrestling fans this weekend, and it wasn't in regards to the Great American Bash pay-per-view that took place yesterday afternoon.

Late Saturday, a number of German SmackDown fans had noticed that the PlayStation 3 logo and game tab had been removed from the official WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 website for both the North American and German-language versions (though it had remained intact on the UK web-space). Talk on THQ's official German forum began to discuss the issue at a quickening pace, to the point where THQ's own Max Stellar addressed the issue in the primary thread:

"The backdrop for this is that the PlayStation version was going to be finished substantially later than the other versions," Stellar said. "The development team would rather concentrate its resources on the other three platforms."

Triple H, a possible PS3 fan, strangles 360 nut John Cena in anger over the game's cancellation news.

Not too long after this statement, the entire thread was removed. No other mention of the game from a THQ official was made for the rest of the weekend.

However, early this morning, THQ's European offices issue an official statement and corroborated both Stellar's statements and PS3 wrestling fan's concerns:

"The next installment in our perennial SmackDown franchise is slated for release across multiple game systems this holiday," the statement began. "The highly anticipated WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007 is scheduled to ship for Xbox 360, PSP and PlayStation 2 in November. Consistent with our goal of delivering the highest quality content across all next-gen platforms, we have decided to postpone the debut of the SmackDown series on PlayStation 3 until the holiday 2007 timeframe."

IGN could not reach North American THQ representatives as we went to press.

Hillbilly Jim, Jerry Lynn, the A.P.A and Goldust are all that you need. But since I have nothing to do right now, a.k.a I have time, I'll list some guys that I'd seriously like to have included. There's no order for these whatsoever:

-Jerry Lynn (Well, yeah...)

-Dean Malenko

-Razor Ramon or Scott Hall

-ONLY ONE Hogan, and that's the nWo version

-Matt Hardy, c'mon

-Umaga

-Burchill

-Owen Hart

-Mr. Perfect (They did a T-shirt for him this year, why not to include him?)

-Rick Rude (Same as above)

-80's Ric Flair with a long blonde hair :pervert:

-Mick Foley as Mick Foley, Cactus Jack and Dude Love

-Eddie. 100% sure he will be there, he's so easy to add in.

Can I ask why Jerry Lynn would be a legend on a WWE game? Unless they added ECW legends, and even then I wouldn't see Lynn being added at all.

So long as the roster contains as much of the active roster as possible, then I dont really mind. I hardly played as the legends anyway.
