Exactly as I say.

Without him, on stage, they would come across as your average 'indie' band. With him, it adds an extra element to their show, something to look at, something to enjoy, something to actually give it some energy.

It works on the record as he's in the background (Though I am still not particuarly into it, but I can deal with it). But when they were on Jools Holland he over powered he rest of the band and it got to the point where it was distracting.

I'll have to see a live performance to see for myself I think. But for the moment, I definitely think it's worth having him in there. I U-myxed Monster without the backing vocals and it doesn't sound right.

It's certainly a studio effect that doesn't really translate to a live performance. I saw them a while back, supporting some band or other, and they did Monster there. Whilst I really did enjoy the song, it's certainly a bit irritating live because of the mad screaming chap.

They played their new single, I forget what it's called, on some Channel 4 show with Alex Zane earlier. It's not as catchy as Monster, I reckon, but it's still quite a good tune. Probably bears repeated listening to be sure, mind you.
