Savage Garden

I just remember that Darren bloke going solo after them, and his whole gimmick was just

"Darren blah blah, 'The Voice Of Savage Garden'"

Everytime he was ever advertised it was followed by 'The Voice Of Savage Garden'.

I mean, they never did that kinda thing with George Michael or anyone, "George Michael, 'The Voice Of Wham!'".

No, that's because they always pushed him as "the straight one from Wham!"

Good work, Madison Avenue.

His name was Darren Jones by the way.

Not that I'd know that. :shifty:

Or that I bought his album :shifty:

*runs away*

You didn't know that, you've saved face. Well done.

It was Darren Hayes.

Meh. Like it matters. Both work in McDonald's these days anyway.

Well it'll help Darren pay the expenses for his new album.

Incidentally, if someone can help me obtain Darren's 2 solo albums then feel free to contact me in some way. (Y)

Thats because Wham is nowhere near the awesomeness of Savage Garden.

I must respectfully disagree. My fiance wanted to listen to some Christmas music last month, so I put "Last Christmas" on a continuous loop, just to be a dick. I was one repeat away from being homeless. That didn't do much for my point, did it?

As for Savage Garden, I got a bit sick of Truly Madly Deeply. To the Moon and Back, though...that song is true class.

Me and Liam are the true EWB Savage Garden crew.

Ellis knows, Ellis knows. Thier debut was the first album I ever bought, and I have both Darren Hayes' solo albums.

The second CD has copy protection on it, otherwise I'd do it for you. My first one got scratched up and skips a lot, so not worth it. Sorry.

Yeah, and To The Moon And Back is excellent, though I think it possibly isn't my favourite by them.

Huge fan, myself. Particularly loved their first album, but the second one had some terrific tracks on it as well. Was so pissed off when they broke up, especially given the utter shite Hayes has dished up in his solo career. It's clear who was the talent in the group, and who had the voice to carry it across.
