TNA: The Alternate Adrenaline Rush

I've skimmed through this so far. I must say, I like the format. It's simple and to the point. I haven't read much into in the terms of results and such, but I will get around to that eventually. I think the only thing this diary could use, is either overall ratings on segments and matches, and maybe a different font style so its easy to tell which is a segment and which is a match.

Other than that, it looks like you've got it pretty well handled. Keep it up.

2.15.07

iMPACT! got kicked off with the arena being pitch black when all of a sudden on the big screen the countdown starts from 9 down. Out comes the newly crowned NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Christian Cage with his bodyguard, Tomko closely behind him. Looking very cocky and walking very slow down to the ring was the new Champion, but when he did get in the ring he was ready for a celebration. Cage asked everyone for applause on a great victory at Against All Odds, but in came a chorus of boos. Cage couldn’t believe it, but said that it didn’t matter though, as he and Tomko can celebrate themselves separately, which came out wrong and the crowd gave it to Cage calling him a homo. Cage said he had enough and wanted his peeps to treat him like respect, but the booing and name calling continued. All of a sudden, out from the tunnel stepped the man in charge, Jim Cornette. Cornette said he is already tired of Cage pissing and moaning as Champion and can’t wait to see him get defeat at Destination X by someone like Samoa Joe or Rhino, both men who are entered in the Battle Royal. Cage told Cornette to listen carefully after calling him Jimbo. Cage went on saying that he is the best Champion in the world and that is why basically everyone on the roster has to fight over him to just get a shot. Cornette tried to interrupt Cage, but the Champion denied by telling Cornette to listen to his peeps. The only problem was that they were booing him. Cornette just laughed and told Cage to get his ears checked. Before Cornette left he wished Cage’s bodyguard, Tomko good luck tonight because he is Cage’s only shot at being saved from death.

The camera’s cut backstage after Cornette headed back through the tunnel where Jeremy Borash stood with ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels with a maniac look on his face. Borash went to try and ask Daniels a question about Against All Odds, but Daniels quickly got in the face of Borash telling him to get out of his face unless he wants to be sent to the hospital just like Kurt Angle. Borash immediately handed the microphone over to Daniels and scampered away. Daniels got real close to the camera and started shooting at Angle saying that he is nothing, a nobody and can’t take a little beating from a steel chair. “Blood loss, suck it up,” where the words from Daniels basically calling Angle a bitch. Daniels told everyone that he wasn’t done with Angle yet and when he returns he will finish the job by ending Angle’s career. In the meantime though, Daniels said that his eyes are now on the prize, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. “The Fallen Angel will be the last one in the ring tonight, whether anyone likes it or not,” was the last thing said from Daniels, mainly saying he will win the Battle Royal.

Match One

The Robert Roode Militia (Alan Randolph and Eric Young) w/Ms. Brooks and Robert Roode vs. Norman Smiley and Shark Boy

In a rematch from the Pre-Show of Against All Odds, Norman Smiley and Shark Boy were looking for a second chance against The Robert Roode Militia. ‘All-Star’ Alan Randolph is the newest member of The RRM and just like on the Pre-Show of Against All Odds, he looked dominant here. Smiley and Shark Boy really had no shot and this was just to push The RRM a little bit more. Smiley and Shark Boy got squashed like expected. The Robert Roode Militia made quick work here and finished off Norman Smiley this time with the Diving Leg Drop from Young and then followed up with the DVD from Randolph. It seems they call that combo The Roode Result leaving the result as a victory for The Robert Roode Militia.

Winners: The Robert Roode Militia

After a short commercial break, ‘The Ticked Off Texan’ Lance Hoyt stood next to Leticia Cline ready to reveal his actions at Against All Odds. Cline asked Hoyt why he turned on Chase Stevens and what did Stevens do to make the turn occur. Hoyt, sounding much ticked off said that Chase Stevens is nothing but a wannabe Lance Hoyt. Cline let out a little laugh when that was heard, but Hoyt shut here up after a threat came into play. Hoyt said that Stevens isn’t a Texan, is never ticked off and isn’t Lance Hoyt. Hoyt finished saying that tonight he is going to show what it means to be ‘The Ticked Off Texan’ Lance Hoyt after he gives out a beating to his former partner.

The camera cut to another section backstage where Jeremy Borash was ready for an actual interview, but this time with ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles. Borash asked Styles on his thoughts of last weeks match between him and Rhino. Styles said last week Rhino was lucky that he didn’t land to awkward or otherwise his career would have been over. Styles then right on to talking about Against All Odds saying that his plan went wrong and didn’t plan on having Rhino being there and attacking him. AJ told Borash that he was a little shaken up from the attack, but he always bounces back and that is why tonight he will win the Battle Royal. Borash stated a few men who are announced for the Battle Royal such as Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Tomko, Abyss, and Rhino. Styles abruptly stated that it doesn’t matter who is in the match, at Destination X he will be crowned new NWA World Heavyweight Champion before walking off.

Match Two

Chase Stevens vs. Lance Hoyt

Lance Hoyt stood in the ring waiting from Chase Stevens to come out and when he did, Hoyt’s ticked off face turned into some sort of smile as if he was happy to have Stevens in the ring. Stevens tiring not to shake in fear rolled in the ring and stood toe to toe with Hoyt before getting punched ring in the jaw by the Texan. The beat down began and it didn’t end until the bell rang as Stevens got in no offense whatsoever. Hoyt continued laying the boots into Stevens, but he kept on trying to retreat to his feet. Hoyt tried everything and everything such as the Boot From Hell, then the Blaster Kick and finally a Moonsault, but Stevens still somehow shrugged it off and continued to take the beating. Finally Hoyt had enough and almost took Stevens’ head off again with the Boot From Hell and then rolled out of the ring to bring back a table into the ring. At this point, Stevens was already getting up so Hoyt set the table up as fast as possible even with the referee trying to force Hoyt not to do it. Hoyt did it anyway and crushed Stevens threw the table with the Texas Tower Bomb making the referee call for the Disqualification giving Chase Stevens the victory. Either way, Hoyt didn’t care; all that he cared was that he gave Stevens a beating. Hoyt left the ring and took one last look before leaving through the tunnel and when he looked back, Stevens was already getting up which made Hoyt a little bit pissed off.

Winner (DQ): Chase Stevens

After another short commercial break, the gun shots are heard and out walks Homicide and Hernandez of The Latin American Exchange. They walk down to the ring not responding to the crowd at all. They then stop halfway down the ramp and turn back towards the tunnel as out comes Konnan on crutches. Konnan received a nice pop from the TNA crowd even though he is a heel. Konnan slowly made his way down to the ring and got help from Hernandez and Homicide to get in the ring. Konnan was handed a microphone and said that he was back even though he still wasn’t in the best of shape. Konnan told everyone that for the past month, The Latin American Exchange has been disturbed by the absence of himself, but now that he is back, they will be better than ever, especially with their new addition. Before Konnan could go any further though, out came the new NWA World Tag Team Champions of Team 3D with Brother Runt following right behind them. They got in the ring and stood right in front of Konnan as Brother Ray took a microphone and told Konnan that they were down at the ring for three reasons. First being to celebrate their victory and finally becoming NWA World Tag Team Champions, second being to welcome back Konnan and finally third was to kick some more LAX ass! All of a sudden, Homicide and Hernandez went to attack with Konnan trying to hobble out of the way near a corner. Team 3D got the best of The LAX and while Hernandez and Homicide were down, the crowd chanted for tables, even though they just saw them last segment, Brother Ray made fulfilled the request. Brother Devon brought in the table and set it up. They were setting up for a three man 3D, but before they could hit it, in the ring slid Senshi and he kicked Brother Ray and Brother Devon right in the back of the head. The kicks lead to Brother Ray getting taken out with the Cracker Jack from Hernandez and Brother Devon getting taken out with an Ace Crusher from Homicide. It was then a three on one on Brother Runt and Konnan told Senshi to go up high as Hernandez and Homicide set Brother Runt up in the corner. Runt was in the tree of woe, but his body was facing out lying on the table. Senshi jumped and broke the table in half as well as Runt with a huge Warrior’s Way. Konnan welcomed the newest member of The Latin American Exchange, Senshi to everyone as the four men celebrated in the ring holding up tag team gold with all three guys of Team 3D left laid out.

Backstage was Leticia Cline standing by with the TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin. Cline went to ask Sabin right away on his thoughts on the match at Against All Odds, but before she could finish the question, Sabin pushed her out of the way saying, “see you later sweetheart, I have business to take care of.” Sabin then continued the interview on his own saying at Against All Odds he didn’t cheat to win and it wasn’t a cheap way to win. It was just him playing smart and that is why he is still the X Division Champion. Sabin went on to saying that he hopes to face Lynn again as he wants to outsmart him again and show him that he is to old to be wrestling and should just retire for good. Sabin finished by saying that whoever he would be facing at Destination X if it would be Petey Williams or Petey and Jerry Lynn, he would walk out the smarter man and still X Division Champion.

Match Three

Jerry Lynn vs. Petey Williams

Jerry Lynn knew he needed a win to get his hands on Chris Sabin one more time so he gave it all against Petey Williams, but was it enough to beat the Canadian? Lynn started off the match with a lot of intensity taking Petey down to the mat and outside right away. Lynn stayed right on Petey nonstop for quite sometime, until he missed a charge with a Clothesline giving Petey a chance to turn things around. Petey took the control for once and remained in control for basically the remainder of the match. Petey tossed Lynn into the corner and then flipped him upside down into the tree of woe. Petey looked around while the crowd started singing, “Oh, Canada!” so this made Petey smile and step on the second rope/groin of Lynn. Petey let it go after the ref counted to four, but Petey stayed on top. Lynn slowly got up, but when he got to his feet, Petey charged with a huge Leg Lariat taking Lynn back down to the mat. Lynn kept getting back to his feet though, but this time Petey ran up and spun around nailing Lynn with a Spinning DDT. Petey then spun his arms calling for the finish as he started to pick Lynn up. He placed him in position for the Canadian Destroyer, but out of nowhere Lynn reversed it. He took the legs out from beneath Petey dropping him to the mat. Lynn then kept a hold of the legs and flipped over bridging on top of Petey getting a quick three and a huge surprise victory. Lynn just took a page out of the X Division Champions book and it got him one more shot at Sabin’s Title at Destination X with Petey Williams still involved in the match.

Winner: Jerry Lynn

iMPACT! returned from a short commercial break with a camera showing a close up of Kevin Nash then zooming a little out to see Austin Starr. The camera then turned around and it showed Alex Shelley, the man who was holding the camera. Nash talked into the camera in a quite voice saying that he has got the sense that Kurt Angle has arrived. Starr didn’t believe Nash saying that how would he know that without seeing Angle. Nash told Starr that he doesn’t have to see Angle that he has powers to know that Angle is here. They three walked on with Shelley constantly whispering into the camera saying he wonders if Nash is secretly in love with Angle or if his powers are Bob Backlund authorized. Finally, the three men walked up to the room of the Management Director, Jim Cornette where the door was open slightly to allow the camera to slid in to see and hear what is going on. In the room stood Cornette getting yelled at by none other than Kurt Angle saying that he is fine and wants some of Christopher Daniels and a spot in the Battle Royal. Cornette nervously said no to all of Angle’s requests saying he has doctors note so Angle told Cornette that he would have to do it own. Angle charged out of the room bumping into the three guys. Angle just stared at them with a strange look on his face and then just walked away clearly showing that he was pissed off.

In the locker room area, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage was hanging out in his locker room with Tomko. Cage told Tomko with him winning it would make Destination X 100 times easier for the two. Tomko just shook his head in agreement to everything Cage said; even agreeing that he had dirty gay sex with the Big Fat Naked Oily Guy catching Tomko off guard. Tomko then cleared his mind and told Cage that he will win the Battle Royal tonight not for himself or for Cage, but for the both of them. He then went on saying that at Destination X it will be himself against Christian Cage, but he won’t be lying down for a three count, he would be giving Cage a fight because either way the Title would still be on their side. Cage didn’t like what he just heard and tried to change the subject quickly forgetting about it. He told Tomko good luck and said that he will be watching the match very closely.

Many men stood in the ring as out came it seemed to be the last man in the Battle Royal, Samoa Joe, but he wasn’t ready for the match to start as he had something to say. Joe said that at Final Resolution he defeated Kurt Angle in a 30 Minute Iron Man Match, but never got his deserved Title shot after the win. Joe said that it is ok and now that Raven is all out of his way, he is ready to earn another shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. All of a sudden Joe was caught off though as the place darkened and the guitar sounded. Out of the tunnel stepped Sting with his rips tapped and all charging down to the ring, surprising the crowd that he was able to compete after taking a beating at Against All Odds.

Main Event (TNA Invitational Battle Royal for the Number One Contender for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

Featuring: Abyss, AJ Styles, Chris Harris, Christopher Daniels, James Storm, Lance Hoyt, Rhino, Robert Roode, Samoa Joe, Sting, and Tomko

The Battle Royal got underway right away with all eleven people going nuts in the ring. Right of the bat though, down came to the ring ‘Father’ James Mitchell distracting Abyss. In the ring then slid Xander as when Abyss turned around, he got met with a Bicycle Kick sending him out of the ring for the first elimination. Abyss has been Eliminated. Xander then followed Abyss out of the ring and the two brawled all over the iMPACT! Zone soon all the way backstage. The next man to go was Robert Roode as he was trying to play it nice and safe, but got met with a huge Gore by Rhino out of nowhere sending him over the top rope and out of the ring. Robert Roode has been Eliminated. Rhino tried to follow up with another elimination by charging at AJ Styles with a Gore, but not only did it send Styles out of the ring, it sent Rhino himself out as well. AJ Styles and Rhino have been Eliminated. The chaos in the ring continued with an eliminated coming pretty quickly as Samoa Joe nailed Lance Hoyt with a huge Enzuigiri making Hoyt fly out of the ring. Lance Hoyt has been Eliminated. The eliminations didn’t slow down from their though as James Storm and Chris Harris back and forth tried to lift each other out of the ring, but couldn’t get it done. Finally, Tomko came up and flipped both men over the top and out of the ring letting Tomko eliminate both men. Chris Harris and James Storm have been Eliminated. Only four men were now left, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Sting and Tomko. Joe and Sting tried to team up on Tomko and Daniels, but it didn’t work out as Daniels wasn’t in mind for any teaming up. Daniels went totally crazy again that at one point, slid under the bottom rope and out of the ring bringing in a steel chair. He didn’t get to use it right away though as Kurt Angle came running down to the ring distracting Daniels. Angle slid in the ring and Daniels charged with the chair swinging for Angle’s head, but Angle ducked and Daniels connected with Joe who was dangling on the ropes. Then from underneath the ring, came Raven who finished off Samoa Joe by pulling him over and out of the ring for good. Raven then disappeared back under the ring with Joe left pissed off. Samoa Joe has been Eliminated. Only three remained, but that soon changed as Angle was able to grab Daniels from behind and hit him with an Olympic Slam from in the ring all the way to the outside eliminating Daniels. Angle screamed out showing that he wasn’t done with Daniels yet, but knowing he did get some revenge. Christopher Daniels has been Eliminated. It was now down to the final two, Sting and Tomko. From the announcers table, came the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Christian Cage coming down to try and distract Sting. Sting held his own for a while, when Cage got on the apron, he distracted Sting for long enough allowing Tomko to nail Sting with a Big Boot making The Icon flip out of the ring. Cage entered the ring and he and Tomko celebrated in the ring, but little did they know, Sting was still holding on. Tomko headed to the corner talking crap to the fans as Cage stood in the ring holding up the gold. All of a sudden, Sting flipped back in the ring getting a huge roar from the crowd. Sting then came up from behind Cage and tossed him out of the ring and then charged Tomko in the corner hitting a Stinger Splash. Tomko walking unsteadily in the ring dazed a bit was then hit with a Dropkick from Sting sending him out of the ring making Sting the winner. Tomko has been Eliminated. Sting has done it, tapped ribs and all, he will be able to try and settle things between him and Christian Cage once and for all after it was put off for a little bit at Destination X. Sting celebrated his victory in the ring and Cage looked on in shock knowing that he has to step back in the ring with The Icon at Destination X.

Winner: Sting

2.22.07

This Thursday night at 9pm ET on Spike TV, the wrestling world will witness the rematch for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship that occurred at Against All Odds – the following is a preview of the huge broadcast!

AGAINST ALL ODDS TITLE REMATCH

Against All Odds saw Christian Cage defeat the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Abyss in a first ever Chained Fury Match, but the finish wasn’t exactly fair for The Monster. He got cheated out as the newest monster on the roster, Xander, who debuted and attacked Abyss helping Cage to victory. Now Abyss earns his rematch against Cage on iMPACT! and it seems it will be the last time these two hook up. The only problem is Xander will be in the house and will he affect the outcome of this match as well and also who will go to Destination X to face Sting?

FALL OUT TO THE BATTLE ROYAL

Last week on iMPACT! saw an eleven man TNA Invitational Battle Royal which featured many top names in TNA. Sting, the surprise entrant coming out with taped ribs and all, survived the madness and now goes to Destination X facing the World Heavyweight Champion. On iMPACT! we will get to hear the thoughts of Sting as well as the fall out to the Battle Royal, but the question is, what will the outcome be?

XANDER MAKES HIS IN RING DEBUT

Like said before, Xander debuted at Against All Odds costing Abyss the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Xander, for sure, isn’t done trying to get revenge on Abyss yet though as James Mitchell told TNA officials that Xander is just getting started. Xander will finally make his debut against someone on the TNA roster, just who will take the beat. Find out on iMPACT!, only on Spike TV!

KURT ANGLE STILL ON THE LOOSE

Kurt Angle wasn’t supposed to be in the iMPACT! Zone last week on iMPACT!, but Paparazzi Productions found out he was, but they didn’t stop him neither did anyone else. He was the one to cost Christopher Daniels a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship and this makes The Fallen Angel even more crazier then he was before. Daniels isn’t the one people are worried about though, the person on everyone’s mind is Kurt Angle, as he went berserk last week at Jim Cornette and showed it in the ring on Daniels, now just what is next. You can find out on iMPACT!, only on Spike TV!

All this and much more this Thursday on iMPACT! – witness the rematch for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship that occurred at Against All Odds!

2.22.07

iMPACT! starts off with it’s usual pyro and with Mike Tenay and Don West welcoming everyone to the show, but before they can really get underway talking about anything in-depth, the gun shots were heard and down came Konnan with Hernandez, Homicide and Senshi of The Latin American Exchange right behind him. The LAX came out their own little entrance area looking very pissed with Konnan having something to say. Konnan got helped in the ring by Hernandez and was handed a microphone by Senshi. Konnan told everyone that he had something to say and that he wasn’t waiting to say it. Konnan told everyone right away that The Latin American Exchange has been the best faction in TNA history ever since it has got underway, but Team 3D is now holding them back. Konnan went on saying that the reason Senshi was brought into the group was to give The LAX more direction and help Hernandez and Homicide overcome Team 3D. The mouth of The LAX then made a challenge saying that next week on iMPACT! he is willing to team any two members of The LAX against any two members against Team 3D. There was no response to that right away, but soon there was a brawl. As Konnan got no response he got frustrated talking crap to Team 3D when all of a sudden down came running Brother Devon, Ray and Runt of Team 3D. They dropped the belts right before sliding into the ring. It was a three on three all out brawl with The LAX getting the better of Team 3D clearing them from the ring after the short altercation. Team 3D picked their titles back up and as they backed up the ramp, Brother Ray was handed a microphone and started screaming at Konnan saying that himself and Brother Runt will be waiting in the ring next week to face two of his bitches. Konnan told Ray right back that they better prepare for Homicide and Senshi, but before Konnan can finish, Brother Ray through out another challenge, but this was for Destination X, the three members of Team 3D against the three members of The Latin American Exchange in a No Disqualification Match. Without even discussing with the other members of The LAX, Konnan accepted the challenge telling Team 3D to be ready to get their asses beat.

Backstage, Jeremy Borash slowly approached ‘Father’ James Mitchell with his new monster of mass destruction, Xander standing right behind him. Borash asked Mitchell for a few seconds of his time without getting hurt and Mitchell accepted telling Xander to calm down. Borash first asked Mitchell if he thinks Xander and himself will take down Abyss in the near future. Mitchell quickly replied by saying that Xander will destroy Abyss anytime Abyss would like the step in the ring with him. He went on saying that the people haven’t seen anything yet from Xander and what he is going to do to Jay Lethal next, will be much worse to The Monster Abyss whenever he can get him in the ring. Xander then started yelling the name of Abyss in the background which made Mitchell have to calm him down again. Mitchell finished up saying that Abyss shouldn’t have his mind on the NWA World Heavyweight Title anymore, the only thing on the weird mind of Abyss should the monster he is standing with, Xander.

Match One

Jay Lethal vs. Xander w/James Mitchell

Jay Lethal stood in the ring shaking in fear knowing that he is about to die in the ring facing off with the beast in Xander. Down came the monster of mass destruction and Lethal begged the referee to call the match off, but he had no choice, but to say no. Lethal took a deep breath and shook the fears away and charged right at Xander right when he entered the ring. Lethal charged at Xander giving him nonstop furies of punches, but the monster didn’t feel it. Lethal then ran off the ropes and came back nailing Xander with a Leg Lariat, but again, the monster didn’t feel it. Lethal didn’t understand what was going on and went for a standing Dropkick, but Xander stood their as if time was frozen. Lethal then proceeded to go up top and fly. He flew towards Xander with a Splash, but Xander simply caught him and tossed him back where he flew from, right into the turnbuckle. Lethal in deep pain slowly got up, but didn’t get to his feet before Xander picked him up in the Canadian Backbreaker Rack position and then dropped to his knees basically breaking Lethal in half with which he calls the Devastation Drop. Xander wasn’t nearly done though as he grabbed Lethal by the throat with both hands and picked him up. Xander then sat out dropping Lethal doing with a Double Arm Chokebomb with a pin which he calls the Death Penalty. Before the three though, Xander took his arms off of Lethal breaking up the pin. Xander wanted to send a message to Abyss as he lifted up Lethal one last time driving him down with a Reverse Piledriver or which he calls the Xander Driver. Finally, Mitchell told Xander to cover the lifeless Lethal which gave Xander his first victory and a very impressive one that is.

Winner: Xander

The rainbow colors flash and the camera cuts to Kevin Nash and Austin Starr who are waiting in the corridor for Kurt Angle. Alex Shelley was the man with the camera waiting to get the Olympic Gold Medalist on camera again. Nash talked about how he is so much better than Angle and he had no right pushing him out of the way last week as everyone knows including himself that he is better then Angle. Shelley rightfully agrees with Nash, but not so much Starr as Austin Starr said that he could beat Angle in a faster time than Kevin Nash. Nash and Shelley just laughed at Starr and Nash said that he was the one to beat Bob Backlund in a record time eight seconds as well on the same night getting three chicks pregnant…at the same time. Starr was confused knowing that wasn’t possible, but the talks soon came to a sudden halt as Kurt Angle came barging through the doors looking for Christopher Daniels calling out his name. Angle ran into Paparazzi Productions and he didn’t look happy. Angle said that he thought he got rid of them last week and doesn’t feel like dealing with them this week. Kevin Nash didn’t like the comment and called Angle an imbecile saying that Christopher Daniels was on the wall. Angle looking very confused turned around to see a poster of The Fallen Angel on the wall. Angle ripped in down in anger and stormed away with Nash and Shelley laughing and Starr looking on with a grin.

Screeching noise back and forth is heard as Gail Kim walked back and forth connected to a ten foot long railing by handcuffs waiting from James Storm. Storm finally walked out of the bathroom saying that it was a relief letting that one go. Gail did a quick sniff and flipped out saying she couldn’t bare the smell. Storm told Gail to shut up and focus on the task ahead of them, a tag team match with AJ Styles on his side facing Rhino and the man he can’t wait to get his hands on, Chris Harris. Storm told Gail that she will never be happy again if she keeps trying to escape from him. All she has to do is work with him and that way they can take down Chris Harris and then go after the World Title. While saying this, Storm was feeling the body of Gail, but Chris Harris stopped Storm from that when he arrived. Harris said that he is sick of the way Storm is treating Gail and he is ready to take her from him. Storm said that was impossible, but Harris didn’t think so. Harris proposed a challenge saying that at Destination X the two will face off with Gail’s contract on the line, but Storm just laughed at the challenge. Harris then came back with another proposal saying if him and Rhino win tonight then the match is on, if not, Gail is his. Storm thought about it quickly and agreed before walking off with Gail. Right before Storm walked away, Harris said that Gail will soon be with a deserving man and also that he smells of disgusting crap. The segment ended with The James Gang walking on screen with BG James going to walk into the bathroom, but walk right out saying that he needs another restroom as that one smells of S to the H to the I to the Tizzle. Basically it was just some cheap comedy for the crowd.

Match Two

AJ Styles and James Storm w/Gail Kim vs. Chris Harris and Rhino

Storm handcuffed Gail Kim to the rail at ringside before the match officially started. Right when Storm locked the cuffs though, Harris dove through the middle ropes with a Suicide Dive taking down Storm. The action got underway right away with Harris and Storm going all out around the ring with Styles and Rhino trying to get an advantage inside the ring. Things stayed chaotic for a few minutes until finally, Harris and Storm went their separate way and continued on with a normal tag team match. Styles and Storm cheated their way through the match attacking the legal man cheaply behind the referee’s back and such. Finally towards the end of the match the tides turned though, as Harris nailed Storm with a Superkick of his own making him fly out of the ring. Styles tried to then blindside Harris, but he turned around in time allowing himself to duck the charge and flip Styles out of the ring toppling on top of Storm. Rhino and Harris then went right out to the ring and took their men back in the ring setting up for something big. Rhino and Harris both planned for a charge at their opponents when they got to their feet, but it didn’t go perfectly as planned, but still did the job. Storm was the first to his feet and Harris charged looking for a Spear, but Storm saw it coming and blocked it with a kick to the face knocking Harris back feeling dazed. Styles then got to his feet and Rhino charged, but Styles saw it coming as well, but instead sidestepped it allowing Rhino to crash into Storm with the Gore. Rhino went right for the cover on Storm, but Styles was going over to quickly break up the cover. Harris made sure that didn’t happen as he charged at Styles and connected with a Spear of his own. Harris and Rhino stood tall being victorious and it ended with Harris pointing at Gail Kim motioning that soon she will be okay.

Winners: Chris Harris and Rhino

After a short commercial break, the cameras cut backstage to see Christopher Daniels showing up in street clothes just entering the building. A staff member approaches The Fallen Angel asking if he was looking for Kurt Angle, but Daniels responded that he wasn’t actually, instead he wanted to know where Raven was. Out of nowhere, Raven somehow just appeared behind Daniels, scaring him a bit. Raven looked deep into the eyes of Daniels expecting something from him and that he was. Daniels said he thought all week about his proposal and he accepts. The crowd had no clue what was going on at this point nor did the announcers, but Daniels said that he and Raven have some important information to share with everyone.

The cameras cut to another set backstage where Leticia Cline stood with Chase Stevens ready to conduct an interview. Leticia right of the bat asked Stevens his response to his thoughts on what Lance Hoyt did to him at Against All Odds. Stevens straight up agreed with Hoyt saying that them two weren’t connected enough to be a tag team and he was the one to figure it out first and take it into his own hands and wasn’t very upset about that. Stevens did say that he was upset about his match with Hoyt last week because he thought Hoyt went a little too far. Before Stevens could even finish his thoughts though, even came flying a Big Boot right to the face of Chase Stevens by ‘The Ticked Off Texan’ Lance Hoyt for no reason at all. Stevens was left laid out again and Hoyt just bent down taking the microphone away from Leticia. He said right in the face of Stevens said that the thrashing from the Texan is still far from over. It seems as if Hoyt took this feud one step further by brutally attacking Stevens again.

Down to the ring came ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels out of one tunnel and then Raven out of the opposite. The two met up in the ring where they greeted each other again with handshakes. Daniels was handed a microphone while Raven did his signature pose reaching his arms straight out and titling his head back. Raven then sat in the corner of the ring, doing another signature pose. Daniels said that for a long time in TNA he has been held back and then finally at Against All Odds he was able to show a totally different side of himself. Daniels said he is a changed man, but the changing hasn’t been finished yet as there is one more big step to take in his career. Daniels told the crowd last week off camera, Raven approached him saying that he likes what he is doing as of now and taking charge. Daniels went on saying at first he wanted Raven to leave him alone, but the conversation continued with Raven talking about his past in TNA and how it didn’t start off the greatest with James Mitchell, but eventually it was worth it winning the NWA World Heavyweight Title. The Fallen Angel said he got intrigued of what Raven was saying, but didn’t know exactly where it was leading too. Finally Daniels said that they have two men on their tails, Samoa Joe after Raven and Kurt Angle after himself. Alone it might not be the easiest thing, but together is a whole different story. Daniels then did the same poses as Raven and sat in the opposite corner. The two sat in the ring as Raven took a microphone of his own welcoming everyone to his little playground, to Daniels’ little fun house. “Welcome to The Layer” were the last words from Raven before he dropped the microphone as the two just sat in the ring. All of a sudden though the intro to Angle’s theme hit followed by the rumbling of Joe’s theme. Kurt Angle and Samoa Joe then appeared at separate tunnels and charged down to the ring. Joe went after Raven and Angle after Daniels. The Layer didn’t back down though, as just after formation they wanted to make a statement. Not one could get a clear advantage after a minute or two though which made led to over twenty security guards come charging down to the ring to break the chaos up. After seconds of struggling, the guards finally broke the two up which lead to Jim Cornette to step out on stage. Cornette told Angle that he wasn’t allowed to participate in any physical contact last week, but still did last week and now at this time. Cornette said he was making a point saying from now on, Kurt Angle is suspended and won’t be able to return until after Destination X! Angle went berserk on the opposite ramp trying to break free of the guards to get his hands on Cornette, but that wasn’t happening. Cornette gave a little laugh and also mentioned at Destination X it will be Samoa Joe against Christopher Daniels with Kurt Angle banned from ringside. Angle against went wild, but it didn’t do anything. Cornette just showed his side of evil there.

After another short commercial break, the rainbow colors flashed again and on camera was Kevin Nash and Austin Starr with Alex Shelley holding the camera. Shelley zoomed in on Nash discussing what just went down and saying that he was going to be the first to talk to Angle and be the one to calm him down. Starr again had a smirk on his face telling Nash that Angle hates him, but Nash came back betting Starr that Angle hates Starr more then him. All of a sudden the talk came to a stop when through the doors came crashing Kurt Angle very ticked off screaming out Jim Cornette’s name looking for him. Samoa Joe quickly followed behind trying to catch up. The two just blew by The Paparazzi not even allowing them to say a word. They did have something to tape though and that was the Diamonds in the Rough surprising them walking up from behind. Simon said he had a problem by saying that there shouldn’t be anything to video tape unless he and his boys are around. Nash replied saying that even Mr. Diamond doesn’t like his boys, with Simon grinning at Nash’s gay joke. Simon said that he also has a problem with them following around a guy who doesn’t even know they exist. Shelley told Simon to take it back before Nash busts a cap in his ass. Killings and Skipper, the two black men, then stepped a bit closer to Shelley backing him away. Nash told Starr and Shelley it was time to regroup and this meant a clear out which left the Diamonds in the Rough standing alone. Simon said to Killings and Skipper that he doesn’t have the problem, but they are the ones with the big problem.

The camera cuts directly to the locker room of the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage as he is seen stretching out. Cage stops for a moment and starts talking to Tomko about his upcoming match with Abyss. Cage asked Tomko if he was going to win and of course Tomko gave him a yes. Win cleanly got a yes as did destroy Abyss. It seemed again Tomko was out in a daze. Cage then got closer to Tomko putting his arm around his shoulder. Cage asked if Tomko if he was enjoying what he was doing and Tomko said yes, but quickly realized what was going on and said not at all. The Champion pushed Tomko back asking him if he ever listens to him and Tomko stumbled on his words, but finally gave a positive response. Cage shook his head in disappointment and told him they have to go, the match is next.

In the corridor, Petey Williams is sitting on a table with Jerry Lynn sitting in a chair. The two are discussing the match they have at Destination X which involves Chris Sabin as well. Petey of course puts himself over saying he will be next Champion which only make Lynn brag about himself saying he is the pilot of the X Division and that he will finally defeat Sabin. Soon enough on camera stepped the TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin with a sly smile on his face. Sabin got nice and close to Lynn asking him if they were discussing the match at Destination X. Lynn told Sabin that discussing wasn’t necessary as either way he is going to kick his ass. Sabin just continued smiling asking Petey if he told Lynn what was up for the match that was not in his favor. Petey gave a head shake no as Sabin laughed telling Lynn he was in a load of trouble come Destination X. Sabin walked off one way with Petey walking off the other way. Lynn just sat in the chair confused by what Sabin meant.

Main Event (NWA World Heavyweight Championship)

Christian Cage © w/Tomko vs. Abyss

Christian Cage marched down to the ring with Tomko right behind him with both men looking very cocky with slight smiles on their faces knowing as if this was going to be an easy win. The music of The Monster hits and down quickly comes Abyss. Abyss seems to mean business just by the way he is approaching the ring and it doesn’t seem like Cage would want to get involved with him tonight. Christian Cage went to lock up with Abyss right away, but that was no way happening as Abyss was in a totally different state of mind tonight. He just kept throwing Cage aside, but from time to time continued looking at the entrance ramps making sure there would be no surprise appearance for Xander or James Mitchell. Christian Cage seemed like a rag doll in this match as Abyss threw him around the ring back and forth. Abyss totally dominated the match and seemed as if it was his night to win the belt back showing that he didn’t deserve to lose the gold in the first place. Tomko tried his hardest to avoid this from happening though as every chance he had he would get on the apron and either distract Abyss or the referee. A total distract late in the match did occur when the lights when out and when they came back on, right at ringside was ‘Father’ James Mitchell with the big masked man of Xander standing right by. Abyss stared straight at Xander not taking an eye off of him. The referee tried getting Abyss focused on the match, but that wasn’t stopping Abyss from turning around. This made the referee leave the ring and speak to Mitchell and ask him and Xander to leave. As the two backed up the ramp, Tomko slid in the ring and clocked Abyss with a Big Boot right to the back of the head bouncing chest first off the ropes. He came back at Cage who had Abyss set up perfectly for the Unprettier. Tomko slid out of the ring and the referee came back in. Cage hit the finishing move and it was enough to get The Monster down from the count. Christian Cage retained the title, with some help again from Xander and Tomko.

Winner: Christian Cage

After the match ended, Xander entered the ring grabbing ‘The Monster’ Abyss and forcing over the top rope. The two brawled all over ringside and soon backstage. Tomko helped up the Champion Christian Cage as he held up the belt. All of a sudden though, the music hit and out stepped Sting. Cage looked shocked as he thought The Icon wasn’t in the iMPACT! Zone tonight. Sting screamed on the top of his lungs and then motioned the title around his waist. Cage just shook his head nervously saying that it wasn’t going to happen. Sting then gave him a throat slash staring down the Champion with some intensity. iMPACT! faded away with Sting staring a hole into the Champion Christian Cage.

Quick Match Results:

- Xander defeated Jay Lethal

- Chris Harris and Rhino defeated AJ Styles and James Storm

- Christian Cage defeated Abyss

Before iMPACT! could get even kicked off with any sort of introduction, the cameras cut right backstage as ‘The War Machine’ Rhino and ‘The Phenomenal’ AJ Styles are going at it backstage. Both men went hit for hit, but finally AJ took distinct advantage after nailing a huge DDT on Rhino right onto the concrete floor. You could tell this feud was going to end pretty soon as if it weren’t, both men would kill each other as you could see week in and week out. Styles kept toying around with Rhino, but soon look to end it all. He lifted up Rhino and turned him upside down in position for the Styles Clash. It looked like as if he had it, but Rhino held on to a steel structure nearby. The War Machine was able to slip through the Styles Clash and then when Styles went to follow up with a charge, Rhino ducked it and made AJ flip into the cage door breaking it open. All of a sudden you hear the voice of Jim Cornette as he runs over to the scene with a bunch of security guards. Most of the guards go to hold Rhino back as the other go on the floor keeping AJ grounded. Cornette told the both of them that he has seen enough. The Management Director went on saying that Rhino and Styles will face off for one more time in a structure they have never worked in before. Cornette looked to the side making the cameras zoom in on the cage. Cornette then screamed out saying it will be AJ Styles and Rhino in Six Sides of Steel at Destination X which lead into the intro of iMPACT!

Match One (TNA X Division Championship)

Chris Sabin © vs. Petey Williams

Petey Williams was receiving an early shot at the TNA X Division Title before he faces off with not only Sabin in the ring, but Jerry Lynn as well at Destination X. When Sabin and Petey squared off in the middle of the ring, it seemed Sabin told Petey something quickly and Petey shook his head agreeing. This match was very slow and basically storyline based. No one ever got a clear distinct advantage and this made the crowd pretty disappointed. Halfway through the match, down came Jerry Lynn ringside to watch the match. In the meantime, Petey had a rally of a few moves and went for the Canadian Destroyer, but Sabin blocked it and quickly rolled out of the ring. He went up to the announcers table and grabbed his X Division Title Belt and walked right past Lynn heading back into the ring. Lynn went to keep the match fair and tried to take the belt away from Sabin, but it was a bad mistake as Sabin nailed Lynn with a shot right to the face with the gold. Then came Petey Williams on the outside looking to attack Sabin, but then put some boots into Lynn who was down and out on the floor. The referee had nothing to do but to throw the match out and call it a no contest.

Winner: No Contest

The boots kept on coming from Petey Williams and the X Division Champion Chris Sabin, but it soon stopped as Sabin said it was enough. Both men rolled into the ring and Sabin had a microphone in hand. Sabin told everyone that Petey and he have been keeping a secret for a little bit away from Lynn. Sabin told everyone to look above the ring and their hung the cables in a X, as if it was set up for an Ultimate X Match. The Champion went on saying that the big secret was that at Destination X he would defend his Title against Jerry Lynn and Petey Williams, but basically now, it is a handicap match along with it being an Ultimate X Match. Sabin laughed telling everyone that Lynn has no chance as in a total of 10 Ultimate X Matches, Petey and Sabin combine for five wins. Sabin gave Lynn a good luck before he and Petey left laughing at the old man.

After a short commercial break, backstage was cameraman, Alex Shelley holding his Paparazzi camera with him shooting everything ahead of him which included Kevin Nash and Austin Starr. Starr asked Nash what they were doing as they don’t have Angle to run into today as he is suspended. Nash said that he saw Kurt Angle in the building today so there is nothing to worry about. Shelley and Starr looked at each other very confused, but it all stopped when up strolled the Diamonds in the Rough. Simon Diamond was leading the way with Ron Killings and Elix Skipper right behind him. Simon approached Nash saying that he still has a problem and that was Paparazzi Productions. Simon said without their camera that Shelley is holding they are nothing. Nash tried a comedy come back, but it was shut down with Simon continuing on saying that Nash is washed up and is only leading great young talent in Shelley and Starr down to a pile of crap. Nash again with a comedy remark saying that Simon and his two black men are a pile of crap, but all five men around didn’t react with even a smile. The segment ended saying that soon enough Paparazzi Productions will be no more as Simon said that he and his Diamonds will soon break the camera that holding together the Production.

Back in the ring, down came the former NWA World Tag Team Champion, The Latin American Exchange. All four men of the group stood in the ring with Konnan being handed a microphone. Konnan said that at Destination X, The LAX will tear Team 3D into pieces and not only Brother Devon and Ray, but as well as Runt. Konnan continued saying that before that happens, next Senshi and Homicide are about to teach Brother Ray and Runt a short lesson on why not to mess with The LAX. Before Konnan could finish up though, down came running the three members of Team 3D. They cleared the ring which eventually got Homicide and Senshi back in and Brother Devon leaving the ring so the match could begin.

Match Two

The Latin American Exchange (Homicide and Senshi) w/Hernandez and Konnan vs. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Runt) w/Brother Devon

The brawl started up right away when Homicide and Senshi rolled back in the ring. Ray and Runt went for an early attack and it worked for the time being, but soon enough, Homicide and Senshi fought back to even out things. The war between these two factions really continued here tonight as everyone was involved including the men at ringside. At one point in the match, The LAX had total control, but just to put it in Team 3D’s face, on the outside, Konnan faked as if he hurt himself as he can barley walk now. The referee’s attention turned toward Konnan which allowed Hernandez to enter the ring. Hernandez was able to nail Brother Runt with the Cracker Jack, but that was all as Brother Devon entered the ring and took Hernandez out. Both Devon and Hernandez continued to brawl on the outside as the referee got back to the action. Things went back and forth until the finish came. On the outside Hernandez was able to nail Brother Devon with a huge boot. In the meantime, Konnan was distracting Brother Ray by holding his foot back. While this was all going on, Homicide set up Da Gringo Killa on Brother Runt while Senshi headed up high. Senshi jumped off the top rope and hit the Warrior’s Way on the top of Runt’s feet giving impact for Homicide to drop Runt with Da Gringo Killa. The crowd went nuts for the amazing double team move. This allowed Homicide to get the pinfall and give The LAX a victory. You can tell, with Konnan healthy, The Latin American Exchange seems unstoppable.

Winners: The Latin American Exchange

Another short commercial break occurred and when iMPACT! returned, in the ring sat ‘The Monster’ Abyss with a picture of James Mitchell and Xander in his hand. Tenay and West explained that Abyss was waiting for Mitchell and his new monster to come down to the ring and meet Abyss face to face. Finally down came ‘Father’ James Mitchell, but without his monster in Xander. Mitchell got in the ring cautiously trying to calm down Abyss. It worked at first, but Abyss then remembered that Mitchell turned his back on him. This made Abyss grab Mitchell by the throat, but it was broken up with Xander charging down to the ring. Once again the two monsters brawled. Neither man could get the upper hand after a few minutes. Finally, out stepped the Management Director, Jim Cornette trying to settle things down by calling down many security guards. They were able to break the action up long enough to make Mitchell and Xander back off. After everything was peaceful, Cornette told Mitchell that he can’t take the brawling all over iMPACT! every time so that is why at Destination X the two will be engaged in a brawl with a referee. Cornette gave both monsters a good luck and was reluctant to get out of there still alive.

Backstage in the locker room of the NWA World Heavyweight Champion sat the Champ himself, Christian Cage. His bodyguard Tomko just walked right into the room which made the Champ stand up and listen to what Tomko had to say. Tomko told Cage that he respects him a lot and no matter what he will always be his best friend, but either way, he still wants the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Cage respected what Tomko said and told him just beat Sting tonight and then anything can happen. “Oh, I will beat Sting tonight and next week, all I have to say is don’t think I am lying down for you Champ,” where the words coming from Tomko surprising Cage a bit. Christian Cage again respected his answer and told Tomko it starts with Tomko tonight and right now all he wants is what they planned for on Sting. Tomko and Cage embraced in a quick hug while the camera started fading away.

Commercial break time again, but when iMPACT! came back on, down to the ring came Samoa Joe. Joe got in the ring with the crowd chanting his name while he was handed a microphone. He quieted down the crowd a bit, but got them rallied up again after he asked the crowd if they were ready to make Christopher Daniels pass out. Then make Raven pass out. The crowd loved it, but Joe settled them down again and made it a serious matter. Joe said that Christopher Daniels isn’t the man he wants as the only person in his mind is Raven. He continued saying that if Raven wants to make his own little Layer, then he just has to take out both. Joe told everyone that he wasn’t pleased with Angle being suspended, but his match at Destination X with Christopher Daniels will be all for Angle as he will make Daniels pass out just like Angle would make him tap out. All of a sudden some new weird music played as the iMPACT! Zone darkened. Out stepped The Layer of Christopher Daniels and Raven dressed in all black. They got in the ring circling Joe, but told them they don’t want to hurt him now, they want to wait until Destination X. That was a lie though as Raven spoke to Joe distracting him which allowed Daniels to attack from behind. This allowed The Layer to put a bunch of boots into Joe, but that soon stopped as the music of Kurt Angle hit. The Layer looked right at the entrance tunnels, but no one was there. Only thing in their way was Samoa Joe who was on his feet. He charged at Raven with a huge Lariat and then at Daniels with a Jumping Big Boot right to the face. The Layer rolled out of the ring and back stepped up the entrance ramp staring down at Samoa Joe who just took out both men in a matter of seconds.

Backstage in the corridor was Chase Stevens talking to a random girl that didn’t work with TNA. Chase was telling this chick on how good of a wrestler he really is, but how he is being held down by an asshole of Lance Hoyt. In the middle of the conversation though, like the last two weeks in came flying ‘The Ticked Off Texan’ Lance Hoyt. Hoyt nailed Stevens with a huge boot almost taking his head off. He then lifted him up and slammed him right in the wall. While this was going on, the girl was screaming for some help. The help didn’t get there in time though as Hoyt was able to walk off laughing after taking out Chase Stevens once again and then spitting in the girl’s face.

Back in the ring stood ‘Cowboy’ James Storm along with a handcuffed and mouth tapped, Gail Kim. Storm told the crowd that he was always the better one in America’s Most Wanted. He said that he proved a few weeks back at Against All Odds after defeating Harris, but that wasn’t enough. Storm went on saying that he will teach Harris one more time that he is better then him and that Gail Kim is his at Destination X. Then out came ‘Wildcat’ Chris Harris to a nice pop from the crowd. He said that Gail Kim doesn’t want to be around a slob like Storm, but wants a manly man in himself. Storm disagreed and as did Gail as she shook her head. Storm laughed, but Harris responded by seeing who Gail would rather prefer. They played it like in the movies on where the dog would come after calling its name. Storm and Harris continued calling Gail’s name, but this just made Gail even more upset and roll out of the ring and leave. Storm and Harris didn’t know what was going on at this point as it seemed Gail didn’t want either man. Storm quickly left the ring and grabbed Gail so she couldn’t go any further, but you can tell she obviously wasn’t happy.

Main Event

Tomko vs. Sting

This was Tomko’s big chance to step up and be a big name in TNA as he had the chance to get a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Title if he could beat Sting. Everyone knew that Tomko and Cage had something up their sleeves, but early on in the match it was a fair bout between the two. Tomko took early advantage jumping Sting from behind right away. He stayed in control for most of the match, but late in the match things turned around when Sting got an extra burst of energy. He reversed being thrown into the turnbuckle to throwing Tomko there. He then connected with a Stinger Splash. Tomko a bit dazed walked out to the middle of the ring and this allowed Sting to hit an STO on Tomko dropping him to the mat. He called out to the crowd and went to lock in the Scorpion Deathlock. Right when Tomko was about to tap out in the middle of the ring, down came running the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage. He got on the apron distracting Sting making him let go of the Scorpion Deathlock and put his attention on Cage. Sting ran over though and knocked Cage right off the apron with a big splash. Tomko slowly got up and backed up into the Scorpion Death Drop and it seemed Sting would survive, but Cage recovered quickly rolling into the ring. Cage called up Sting, but before he did anything, Sting and Cage were involved in a short confrontation. From behind Tomko was getting to his feet and that is when Cage charged with his belt. Sting was able to duck it though and Cage hit Tomko! The referee didn’t care if Cage didn’t mean it though and disqualified Sting! The crowd went nuts as did Sting, but at that time, Cage smiled and went to help up Tomko.

Winner (DQ): Tomko

After the match ended and Sting finished arguing he went and attacked Christian Cage who was trying to help up Tomko. Sting jumped Cage from behind and put a bunch of shots into the back, but Tomko was able to get to his feet. When Sting turned around, Tomko almost took off his head with a Big Boot which he likes to call the Chainsaw Kick. Tomko helped up Cage and together they put the boots in on Sting. Cage said that was enough and then grabbed a microphone. Cage kneeled down in front of Sting and said that they would always be one step ahead of him no matter what he does. He dropped the microphone and Tomko and he left the ring backing up the ramp, laughing at a fallen Sting. Before iMPACT! ended though, Sting was able to grab the microphone and tell Tomko and Cage not to go anywhere. Sting admitted that Cage and Tomko might be a step ahead of him, but next week he has a surprise for them. “I might regret this, but let’s just say I have something in mind for next week,” were the last words from Sting making Cage and Tomko confused as iMPACT! came to a close.

Quick Match Results:

- Chris Sabin and Petey Williams went to a No Contest

- The Latin American Exchange (Homicide and Senshi) defeated Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Runt)

- Tomko defeated Sting
