The thing is if they want the one guy to play superman. He should be allowed to play superman, not play Christopher Reeves playing superman.

I'm not sure they could get Christian Bale, but if they got him to be Batman and Brandon Routh to be Super-man, it'd tie in superbly. Isn't Jack Black doing a Green Lantern Film also?

Anyway, I'd sooner have a live-action Avengers movie as far as comic book super-roster teams go.

That rumor was, like, years ago. And seeing as there hasn't been any mention of it beyond that one rumor, I'd have to guess no (thank god).

Well WB have gone and put the script into production. My guess is that if Marvel go ahead with Avengers, WB will counter with Justice League, which has more recognisable heroes.

Warners owns DC Comics, and makes all DC related films. So yes, it will be at Warners. And it has been revealed that the script will feature a few Icons and some lesser characters perhaps not known to casual fans. Also no word on Routh or Bale yet, or even if Superman and Batman will be in the film. Oh, and Jack Black said two years ago that the Green Lantern movie was not going ahead since he got death threats when it was announced. Google it, and you can find the interview pretty easily.

That said, from a geek perspective, I'd go with:

The Atom

By the way, this would easily be based on the first six issues of Wonder Woman that launched in the mid 80's. Always thought that would make an excellent film for the JLA.

An epic movie that not only sets the stage for future films, but gets The JLA all set up.

With that said, I hope it happens even if it fails. At least try Warners, at least try.
