Where is this from?

I am listening to the Legion Of Doom mashups and in the middle of some of the songs there's this guy.. sounds like he's from the 40s or 50s, around that time. Anyways, he says these lines:

"Then there's attitude business... or call it feeling if you like, the way you feel about things. What's wrong with the way that I feel about things? You've got to face up to reality. You've got to be honest with yourself about the way you feel about things. I'm talking about feelings, not thinking. Not logic, emotion."

"May I remind you again, this is a dream. And in dreams, you can do anything you darn please."

Only name I can find attached to it is Palahnuik. Doesn't sound right though.
