"Two" by Earshot really surprised me, as I wasn't expecting much from it and got a pretty good cd out of it. Which coincidently, I'm listening to right now.

"We're Not Alone" by Breaking Benjamin impressed me too.

Miles Davis- "Sketches of Spain"

That was a noticeably mindblowing album. Miles Pwns.

The last album I dug was The Killers - Hot Fuss, although I wouldn't say it blew me away. Same goes for Outkast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below. The last albums that really blew me away were Coldplay's "A Rush of Blood To The Head" and Our Lady Peace's "Spiritual Machines".

The Streets - A Grand Don't Come For Free

Okay, this album doesn't actually get going until about half way through, but after the last track, you need to listen through more than once.

I totally forgot about that.

I didn't think it would have the same impact as Original Pirate Material, but it was even better. For those who haven't heard it, its like a continuous story told through music. Really great stuff.

And, yes, Empty Cans is a fantastic end to the album - clears everything up and makes you want to listen all the way through again.

Albums that totally blew me away...

Hmmm so few so few....

The greatest album ever made is "Homogenic" by Bjork

"Light And Magic" by Ladytron is pretty special I think

"Absolution" by Muse

"Mezzanine" by Massive Attack

the chilled out disc in "26 Mixes For Cash" by Aphex Twin

"The Fat Of The Land" by The Prodigy

"Surrender" by Chemical Brothers

"Dry Your Eyes" made me cry.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Fever To Tell

Great album from start to finish, which is amazing in this lull time for music. I don't if it truly blew me away, but it's the closest thing this year.

The last album I can think of that truly knocked me off my feet in its awesomeness would probably be Disturbed's "Believe."
