Crazy thing in multiplayer just happened. I probably went about 3 specter packs without any new characters ...

then this one I got Male Human Engineer, Asari Vanguard, and Krogan Sentinel.

Have both Batarians now too. Still no Quarian, Turian, Geth, or Vorcha. I want the Vorcha

Yeah, you're better off with Premium packs. Two Gold games is usually enough to get one. I'm still waiting on Geth Inf, Asari Justicar, Drell Vangaurd.

At this point I just want the Geth Inf and to get some of the decent weapons. I want a god damn Krysae Sniper Rifle or Reegar Karbine!

I have both the Krysae and Reegar. The Krysae's description says its attacks are both armor piercing and explosive. That's only half right. The attacks are not armor piercing at all. You can shoot a Guardian's shield all the live long day and it won't do squat. On the other hand, you don't have to be accurate with it, just in the ball park. It works like the Geth Plasma Shotgun, Graal Spike Thrower and any other weapons I may be forgetting in that you hold down the trigger and release it to fire a shot. But doing so doesn't use up more ammo or cause extra damage like those others. You can actually get off 3 shots fairly quick with it. I had some fun last night using cryo ammo with it. Was pretty fun freezing multiple Reapers with one shot.

The Reegar I don't use a lot, as I tend to play characters who either do long range attacks or use biotics or a pistol (Paladin or Carnifex) up close. But its a fucking beast. If you get it, I definitely recommend using the spare thermal clip as one of the two mods, unless you're on a map with good access to ammo boxes all over the place. Don't bother with the smart choke, though, because the Reegar is really only good up close, unlike some of the other shotguns.

I still need the piercing mod for sniper rifles and the melee stunner for pistols. Not sure what other weapon mods I don't have yet.

Character wise, I still don't have either Ex-Cerberus, the Asari Adept (do have the Justicar), the Geth and Quarian Male Engineers, Krogan and Vorcha Sentinels, Batarian Soldier, and Drell and Krogan Vanguards. (I'm not counting the Battlefield 3 Soldier, which I don't have either)

More Multiplayer DLC is coming on the 17th or so, and it looks like its going to be great. 3 new maps that take place on Earth (Rio, London and someplace I forget), a new mission objective (escorting an NPC to safety), new weapon mods, and new classes.

But get this: the new classes are elite troop versions of existing classes with new abilities, and....it looks like we'll be getting our own versions of Phantoms, Guardians and maybe Centurions.

*edit* Forgot to mention that they're also adding a Platinum difficulty level.

Should be. They'd have to be insane to charge for multiplayer DLC, unless they added separate servers for people who don't have it.

Some of the new classes look crazy. Like one can build some sort of ammo thing that dispenses from what some people were saying unlimited grenades but I dunno if that works like the ammo boxes now where its limited to so many at a time or if you can get as many as you want.

Also, I finally finished the game!

Though apparently being belligerent to the SPOILER isn't an ending enough so time to reload and make a choice!

Yeah, the new classes look nuts. I love Infs and man, I'm so down for playing as a Phantom. But man, I'm not looking forward to an Escort Mission on Multiplayer. Some of those are buggy enough, Escort is going to be fucking awful. I can see it now... "Oh, you want to go through the door that leads to THREE BRUTES AND A BANSHEE. OF COURSE!"

Log on to do this weekends challenge and fear the worst: full extraction against reapers on gold.

First room I get in has a guy with a hacked missle launcher. We blitz it in 18 minutes, he gets a score of like 250k compared to our 20k.

I ALMOST got to the end of Reapers on Gold. No hack, just a glitch that we exploited. Somebody bounced above the map, and then we NEVER GOT INJURED. But then the ass, wanting to play instead of just, y'know, achieving the freaking point of playing the challenge in question, leaves the game. Not only is it now 3 instead of 4 people, we are no longer nigh-invincible. Still finished the objective on Round 10, but it would have been nice to get a Commendation Pack.

Earth DLC - Xbox 360

Had just under 250k saved so bought two premium spectres. Got N7 Shadow character in one and the new shotty, N7 Piranha in the other!

Anyone playing today/tonight?

No one but me still playing? Oh man, I love the Earth DLC. So far I've only unlocked two of the characters sadly, but they're two of the best when used right. The N7 Fury (adept) is a Biotic Explosion Machine! But the N7 Slayer is even better. Biotic Slash and Phase Disrupter combined with the Biotic Charge allowing for quick Barrier Recharge/Biotic Ammo = Wrecking most enemies. I just got like, 75 kills and 50 Biotic Kills with it against Geth on Gold. I can only imagine how much this thing will destroy Reapers.

Really want the N7 Shadow though. I love Infs anyway, but an Infiltrator with the Biotic Slash, except it's a Tech Slash...? Combined with the power damage boost you'll get from Tactical Cloak? Farming Geth on gold will be so much easier!

Still playing. Growing desperate to get at least one N7 class already. I've leveled my Salarian Engineer to full-on Decoy Tank and have taken to doing Geth Firebase White on Platinum difficulty. Have managed to get a Mission Successful ONCE, every other time we usually only make it to Wave 8 or 10. Playing with randoms.

Platinum is absolutely ridiculous but a lot of fun if you have the right build for it. My Engie is a beast on it, not a lot of damage but my Decoy keeps basically every enemy funneling into one killzone for the others to pick them apart in. I've used this tactic to distract two Banshees, a Prime and a Ravager while my team unloads everything they have at them.

And Platinum is definitely easy credits, hell that single Mission Successful netted me 120,000 credits. And that wasn't even with extraction. I believe the most you get from a completed Platinum run is 150,000 credits but... for one mission? Yes please. Even failing at Wave 8 nets you enough to buy a Spectre Pack-- just over 60,000 credits.

Are you going for regular Spectre Packs or Premium Spectre Packs? Premium is the only way I've ever been able to get N7. So far I've only got N7 Fury and N7 Slayer. Both are pretty great (and Biotic Explosion Machines) but I really want to go for N7 Slayer. I haven't even attempted Platinum yet, I think the only one thing I'd try it with would be Slayer. But I haven't been able to get anything yet, despite using multiple Premium Spectre Packs. I've got the new Shotgun at Lvl 2 and the new Pistol, but the Pistol is garbage. >_>

Getting kind of annoying actually. Last two all I got was an upgrade to the Graal Spike Thrower, Tech Damage Gear and something else shitty that I can't even remember. And a new customization for my Vorcha Sentinel that I never play with.

What're you playing on, Norro? 360 or PS3? I'd be down for trying Platinum if you're PS3. If we can both get N7 Demolishers I know of a crazy good farming technique for it.

I did platinum on day 1 with some randoms. Our 4th was glitching up so essentially 3 of us made it to 10 where we died having being sent outside on White to do the objective. Barely got it complete before we died.

Definitely crazy though.
