Karizma
Final Score 36-3 to AB's, tries to Howlett, Spencer, Rokocoko, Dan Carter hit 5 penalties and all 3 conversions, and that Charlie guy hit the penaltie to make the 3. Shows what'd happen without Wilkinson. However, the AB's were wicked tonight, great to see them perform, and perform well.Carlos Spencer = no longer risky, he played a safe game, a very safe game by his standard. Our inexperienced players really destroyed your loose forwards, Jonno Gibbes was one of the best players tonight, on Test debut. The second test is soon, and the result won't be much different, however, England did have a better defensive effort 2nd half, conceding only 6 points. World Chumps by the looks of it, although, it most likely would have been closer, if Wilkinson played, but your forward pack got killed by the All Blacks. Guest 12characters
Second test on now, Pommies are leading 6-3. One of the English got sent for an early bath, so we are going to win.
botchedpiledriver
Were crap without Johnny Wilkinson, he use to score 80% of our points.
Guest 12characters
NZ tore them up like Kleenex at a Snot Party. We are the Real World Champions. I feel sorry for Argentina next week.
lanky316
Meh, ot's a false scoreline. When you have people sent off for leaning in the first 10 inutes what chance do you have. 15 men might have made it closer.
Guest 12characters
He hit the guy in the back with a blatant cheapshot! You should have heard our commentators man. "As a commentator I am supposed to be even handed but that English lock is a disgrace to the game and he should be sent! Thank you for ruining the entire test." You have to agree though, the All Blacks kicked your ass. They should carry around the NWA World Title now, and it should be blurred whenever it comes on screen. Liam
England lost yadda yadda yadda France sub-par, England not capitalising yadda yadda yadda how many kicks do you want to miss in a match yadda yadda yadda missing Wilkinson. Pretty much the story of most recent England matches really, isn't it? Anyone watch this match, and what are your thoughts?
fineintent
Well it's not like England are world champions anymore, as it's almost a completely different squad and back room staff. France were poor, England were worse - the 2nd half showing was dire. Wilkinson seems to have caught Darren Anderton disease, so I doubt he'll be back to steady the ship for a while. But at least it's a young squad, so I guess they have to be rebuilt, like the world cup winning squad. Come on Ireland, it's all up to you. RawIsWar
I watched this, we played well but no-where near as good as the World Cup but what do you expect half of the team is new faces IMO
Liam
I guess I just expected us to beat one of the worst French sides in years....thats all.
fineintent
But this is pretty much one of the worst, well inexperienced, English sides in years. Compare it to the side in Sydney with the Leonards, Johnsons or Wilkinsons (players with masses of quality and experience) and it's easy to see why the results don't go our way. Add to that the loss of a highly influencial coach, and you can see this tournament is going to prove to be hugely embarressing to the English side. Liam
Not in a nasty way, but loads of the teams are missing players, building for the future. You'd think that the World Champions would have a decent backbone to fall back on, but we don't. And its the way we lost it....if we played rubbish, fair enough, but we threw the game away. Karizma
You guys fucked up because you didn't bring any new faces in while you had the old bastards in recent years. NZ does the opposite, they bring in too much new guys, while Aussie, they hold it just about right.Which is why they are always a top team. You guys were respected World Champs for what, 6 months? Liam
Karizma, I couldn't have said it better myself. I at least wished we had one good year as World Champions, but we were instantly humiliated, and just made to look bad, even though we were the "best team in the world". botchedpiledriver
We were in full control then gave it all away. It reminded me of England vs. France from Euro 2004 .
lanky316
Anyone else looking forward to this game, it's only a friendly but I reckon it'll be close. I think the Aussies should edge it but neither side is playing to their full potential at the moment so it could be interesting.
Chris the Human
I'll be tuning in. Not expecting much, given the shitty squads both nations named, but it'll continue my superb weekend of sport.
fineintent
Olly Barkley got good. And he doesn't have that stupid Public School floppy hair. Up England.
