Recommend Me Some Books

CKN

Ok on monday I am going to go buy some books to read since I have been finding myself very bored and need something to read... I guess.

So what to buy I enjoy Stephen King books but I have decided to try some new authors out.

I have been looking for books like 28 Days Later or books where something happens to the earth and most of the human race is knocked out... anyone know of books like this?

And also I have been looking at The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremecy and The Bourne Ultimatum are they any good and how closely related to the movies are the first two?

I also enjoy Horror, Action, Suspense and Thriller books and books with well done twists and turns.

So if you know any books that meet any of the requirements just post here and tell me and if you want say a bit about it.

So Thanks

Anything by Peter Straub, if you're a fan of King. Straub's similar to King.

EDIT:

PS Dean Koontz SUCKS! (just to work up Dochappy ;) )

"Meg" by Steve Alten.

About a Megalodon (Which is a prehistoric shark that was pretty much just a 50-70 ft. (possibly larger) version of a great white shark) that is found in the Mariana Trench and gets out and begins to cause havoc. It's the first book in a series, I've just read this one so far though. For the other books search for Steve Alten to find his site.
