15. Final Fantasy X (PS2)

With a beautiful look and an all new story, Final Fantasy X brought Square's franchise series to the PS2 in a great fashion. The game has marked another major point in Square's series and became the first FF game to be sequelized with 2003's Final Fantasy X-2.

14. Super Mario World (SNES/GBA)

As another classic Mario game, this also brings back many memories for many of us who grew up in the 90s. Also, this has to be one of the only games I've ever played where I've went back over and played it again. It's just that good. For Mario fans, this isn't the last Mario game on here either.

13. EA's NHL Hockey Series (multi)

As one of the most accessible NHL titles out there, EA's NHL series has entertained the casual fan and diehard alike with its amazing gameplay (especially its mid 90s Genesis titles), and minute realism. With over a decade of experience in the series, the game has remained solid and has been a part of EA's sports game empire.

12. Madden NFL Series (multi)

As another classic gaming franchise and one company highest selling point, Madden has become the mecca that football and gaming fans look forward to every single year. Over 15 years, EA worked harder and harder to make the game more realistic and reach its superstar level that its at today. With its continuing popularity, expect Madden to be around for another 15 years.

11. Pro Evolution Soccer 3 (PS2)

As another Euro fanboy favorite, Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 3 takes its place among the best similar to another Konami soccer classic Winning Eleven 7. The game's gameplay has obvious appeal to the soccer/football hooligans and has kept Euro gamers on their knees. While many US fans may never see this title surface in the states, they can get that import copy and enjoy their soccer action, too.

10. Metal Gear Solid (PS1/PC)

With the style of an action movie and the praises of many gamers, Metal Gear Solid was just destined to become a hit. Charmed with the gaming genius of Hideo Kojima, the game had a style all its own and rose from a simple rebirth of the NES franchise to another Konami franchise. With a movie being made and a third installment coming this year, MGS is still a good thing to go back on, once in a while. (BTW, bargain hunters: The PC version costs only $10 and has both MGS and the MGS VR Missions)

9. Grand Theft Auto III (PS2/PC)

With violence, brutality, and even humor, Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto III became classic from the moment it was released. Its open-ended gameplay style was done before (GTA 1 and Driver were two originals of the genre) but GTA3 put it in with great graphics, good wit (GO COCKS!), and entertaining shooting. Rockstar has squeezed out its new popularity of its franchise as well with GTA: Vice City and the game that might wipe out EWB from having any posts (because of its rumored addictiveness and its said length of gampelay) for about a week or two, GTA: San Andreas.

8. (or 32.) Super Mario Kart (SNES)

As a premiere racing title that was truly no realism and all fun, Super Mario Kart has left many memories on its SNES fans. Its racing style (as mentioned before) emphasizes fun over realism and it works. For that, it has also triumphed over the other Mario spinoffs.

7. WWF No Mercy (N64)

Usually many games' true quality can only be judged by how playable it is after a few years. This is one of those examples. As easily the best of the N64 wrestling games, No Mercy's options are quite astounding with all the marbles wrestling fans want, including the classic ladder matches and those uber-awesome cage matches. The other reason NM is played so much is the easy to get used to, yet very deep fighting system, which has become a system often copied (EA's Def Jam Vendetta is one of the takers of Aki's system). Any way you look at it, No Mercy is classic and will always be. Now dig out that N64 right now, BIATCH!

6. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2)

When the time came to make a sequel to the most acclaimed PS1 game of 1998, Hideo Kojima added the plot twists and turns, added dazzling graphics, and even got help from the military for the game. With all of those improvements, Konami released the game in 2001 and gained acclaim for its film-like plot style and despite one scene's notoriety (and it involves Raiden), the game has kept MGS as a series, in check.

The final 5 tomorrow. Until then, good night!
