It's not often I watch a trailer, have absolutely no idea what is going on, maybe even less of a clue than I had prior to watching it, and am absolutely more interested than any other TV show due for release.

In very short (for you, or anyone else unfamiliar) Scarlet Witch when she created was very loosely defined. They kind of gave her some direction by having her tap into chaos magic (which itself is loosely defined in a sense) but a comic event at one point gave her reality warping powers and she's kind of jumped around since then - but it kind of defines her character in many ways.

House of M was a comic event where in short - Scarlet Witch had a mental breakdown and created an entirely new reality to cope with it which is pretty much what it looks like is happening here.

Edward Rose on Charles Murphy's website is speculating that due to the source code on the Disney+ website, the release date for WandaVision is 11/27.

It seems to check out, since they did the same thing on The Mandalorian's page and it's set to go live on 10/30.

Hard to tell really given the lack of new content so far, Mandalorian was weekly (as was Forky Asks a Question. Amazing) but I think some of the kids stuff (documentary and studio things) might have gone on together.

Apologies, that's a horribly written sentence.

In case anyone missed it in the UK, Disney+ now has first two episodes of the final season of Agents of Shield up.

Feige confirmed that as the decades change in WandaVision, so do the sitcoms they spoof. He mentioned going into The Office and Modern Family style sitcoms later in the series, so it doesn't seemingly stop in the 90s with the Rosanne type spoof.

I think my only complaint about WandaVision is that the ending credits are the same length as you'd have in the movies (around 7-8 minutes). They're highly stylized, but whatever.

Spoilers ahead.

Episode 1:

Spoiler

The first episode is just straight up a 22 minute black & white sitcom. It's weird how note perfect that was as spoof of something like I Love Lucy.

The commercial in this episode is a Stark Industries... toaster? Something like that. The sound it makes is the same sound that Iron Man's repulsors make.

Not really much else to talk about, besides the ending sequence. Somehow a SWORD (!) agent is able to watch all of this on a television, with credits and everything.

And before anyone comes in here asking why SWORD would be monitoring stuff on Earth... In the MCU, it stands for Sentient Weapon Observation Response Division.

Episode 2:

Spoiler

Second episode is Bewitched style, complete with opening credits.

Already getting meta, when Vision says "Wanda, are you not worried that the audience might see through this little charade?" while talking about a magic trick they're practicing for a talent show.

Another SWORD reference, with a toy helicopter that's in color (and they appear to be Iron Man colors?).

"The Devil is in the details, and that's not the only place he is". HMMMM.

Strucker Swiss made watch with the Hydra logo as the commercial this time. Same two actors as the previous episode's commercial, too. Revisiting the trauma that shaped Wanda? First one could be seen as symbolizing the bombs in Sokovia when she was a child.

Second time "For The Children" has been mentioned, third if you count that it's the name of the talent show.

And now she's pregnant. It's happening.

That sounds like Agent Jimmy Woo saying "Wanda? Who is doing this to you?", it's clear as day at the end of the episode.

Who is the SWORD Beekeeper? Is it Woo?
