The next few months are going to be music overload for those who love electronic music.

• Basement Jaxx's new album is out next week. It is fantastic.
• Rustie's new album leaked.
• Simian Mobile Disco have a new one coming out and their first two singles have been amazing.
• The Juan Maclean are dropping an album in September.
• Nicholas Jaar's Other People label is dropping a compilation with new Darkside tracks (who announced they were breaking up).
• SBTRKT new one is coming out in September.
• Aphex Twin just announced an end of September release date for their next LP.
• Caribou's album is out in October (though it already leaked online).
• Flying Lotus's new album drops in October!

Royal Blood's album came out yesterday, but I got it today because of Bank Holiday and the post.

Holy fucking shit, this is loud as fuck. Awesome, heavy. Normally I'd say "lol NME", but the quote that is on the little sticker on the album cover sums up this album perfectly: "loud as cannons". It sounds like two Brock Lesnars having a sledgehammer fight.

Definitely reminiscent of QOTSA and Jack White/White Stripes as is often brought up, but also reminds me of Badmotorfinger era Soundgarden; it's got that heavy swagger of Slaves and Bulldozers.

Having listened to them based on the above post, I will happily second the love for Royal Blood. Really enjoyed the album, and can definitely see the QOTSA/White Stripes comparisons.

The new Simian Mobile Disco is amazing.

The new Death from Above 1979 album isn't my cup of tea, though I'm assuming those who were pleased with their last album will dig this one.

The Caustic Window album is great.

Rustie's new album is interesting - I think a lot of critics aren't in love with it, but my guess is people will come around. Attak is fantastic.

The Caribou album is great. Shame it leaked so early, because I hope it doesn't impact sales.

FKA Twigs album - I don't understand the hype. It is good and interesting, but it doesn't really grab me as a listener.

The Basement Jaxx album is what you'd expect from Basement Jaxx in 2014. I love it, but most people would probably roll their eyes over it.

Perfume Genius has a new album - Too Bright - and it is amazing. His first two albums addressed such happy subjects like his love affair with his former teacher who was married and who killed himself because he couldn't come out of the closet, a straight marine doing gay porn to pay for his wife's medication, his addiction to meth, and domestic violence. His new album keeps the trend going. My early bet for album of the year.

Relevant to Cloudy's interests and no one else probably; there is a new Mirah album out and I like it! It's not one of her best albums, but I don't think anything is really going to come close to how excellent You Think It's Like This... and Advisory Committee were.

One of the songs, "Fleetfoot Ghost," is particularly wonderful.
