Fuck it, far worse shows get threads, Fargo deserves its own (especially since it gets plenty of mentions in General TV).

For those not watching yet, this is what Stephen King had to say about the latest ep...

So get to watching you silly goose!

Which episode would that be? I think I've seen 5, got #6 recorded. I know the last one I saw was

Spoiler

When the kid wanted to go and shoot Ed but messed things up resulting in the shop being burned down.

...pretty sure I didn't watch any after that but I could be wrong.

Anyway, it's an amazing show.

And Lineker, you're thinking of season 1 (equally brilliant) - season 2 is on Channel 4 at the moment, and it's recently been renewed for a 3rd.

Yeah, episode 8 is absolutely amazing. It has one of the funniest lines in all the 2 seasons the show has had, which is saying a lot, in my opinion.

It might be the best show this year.

Noah Hawley has confirmed that season 3 will take place a couple years after season one, so around 2009 or so.

Honestly, when this cast was announced, I did not think that my favourite character this season was going to be Kirsten Dunst's.

Well, maybe besides Karl Weathers.

Looking at jumping in on this. Do I need to watch (technically re-watch, though I don't remember anything about it) the movie first?

Nope. One character in season one's backstory is related to a small-ish plot point in the movie. That's it.

Thoughts on the finale? I must admit I thought it could have been paced a little better. Season 1 saved plenty of action for the last episode, while this season blew its wad on the penultimate one and just kind of meandered here. Not going to discount 9 great episodes for one alright one, but I think season 1 was definitely the stronger begging-to-end story overall.

I absolutely loved the Molly, Gus, Gretta, and Old Lou cameos, though. And am I to take it Hanzee goes on to become the Fargo mob boss from season 1?
